Thanks Carl! Been loving your commentary over the past few years!
Beautiful cue. I would pay that much for a pool cue if it meant that I never missed.

I wonder if he's vegan. He should have sleepless nights from having rhinoceroses killed just to line his cue with ivory.
Your commentary was amazing throughout the entire tournament karl
I own 3 cues from Marcus and they are beautiful and most of all...the hit is amazing. Just received my retirement cue made of Rosewood. Hit perfect straight-out of the box. Worth every penny!

Beautiful cue!!
The most beautiful pool cues I've ever seen are by McWorter. My favorite pool cue is actually a plain snooker cue made by John Parris. Never have I used a pool cue where the weight is so evenly distributed. It feels like air.
IMPRESSIVE "DREAM" CUE! Karl, thanks for sharing Rhiner 's cue (sp) with us.

Marcus is one of the best cue makers in these days. If you have a dream, he will realize it. I have seen cues in his workshop, you wouldn‘t believe are possible to make. I own three cues made from him and they are a joy to play with.

i play pool since the 80s, but never could prize a cue. this could also be some mc dermontt with a clear coded picture on it. i wouldn t see the difference or care for it. and yes i play an 300 euro sneaky pete;))
That is a genuine work of art. But for that amount it had better pot the balls on its own. 😄
Ebony & Ivory with elephant leather grips... went the full length on this and it was definitely worth it. Gorgeous, I'd love something similar, love reverse b/w colored cues.
Hey my man. Lovely video yet again. This is all I can put about this price of that stunning cue 🤯🤯🤯 but wow its stunning 😍. #HeyPoolFans #PoolLife
I personally have a BEP southwest and I love the colors, and the inlays , the cocobolo finish is amazing too
It's a beautiful cue, but I'll stick with my Tad from 1985. It's birdseye maple and Irish linen for the grip.

Wow...to have that kind of money to spend on a cue (and only just the butt)...unreal! Thanks Karl for sharing this story and THANKS for what you are doing to promote pool!
Beautiful!!!
Pechauer recently made a cue called the phoenix that had 1,600 inlays, including an inlaid cf shaft, and sold for $45,000

Yea I seen that. Pretty crazy for real.
Wow, what art work!!
I’m pretty sure I met him at Griff’s in Las Vegas?!?! We were both sweating a match. I remember his accent and his unique name. Gorgeous cue!
How about a bundle deal for a $30,000 pool table plus a beautiful cue for $5000? That has more value in just about every else's eyes!
How about showing the cue more. I know it fascinates people to see someone who spends that kind of money on a cue, but Would love to see the scrimshaw work.
I would prefer if it had human ears instead of elephants. Would be even more amazing if he said he had a certificate for the ears too :)
"Arhurian Legends" would be an appropriate cue name for this masterpiece. That being said, I could never play with anything that pricy for fear of it being damaged since it can never be repaired with the current laws in place... only refinished. I have my own custom cue loaded with scrimshawed ivory, and taking it through TSA screening is not even an option given how often they "lose" expensive items.
when I grow up I hope I’ll be able to buy a cue just like this.
One day I will own a cue similar to this one mark my words 😤
What is the name and the price of this cue????
I would like to know does he ever shoot with the cue or is it purely a prize possession only to admire
Wich laws that came out?
I'll never forget when my neighbor bought a West Coast Customs Chopper. He bought it in 2007 for almost $80,000. In 2010 the home crisis happened and he sold it for 10 grand. Sometimes things are only worth what people will pay for them
I still want a Black Boar cue for some reason.
Amazing design

He is a brave guy saying the price. I would have just said priceless and above 10k hahah
Maybe it’s from over the years or playing but 36K for that grip work? Cue is beautiful, but that wrap needs some major work.

Imagine what Efren could have done with this cue. He would probably still be the champ.
Flash means nothing to playability of a cue. High end cue makers will choose better stock but that's it. Good luck traveling internationally with that.
I think he should just keep this as a wall cue and use something more practical tbh. Just seems a little much for not performing well. Also, can't get on board with the ivory and elephant ear. Certification or not...I'm not activist but that's just wrong in my eyes. But if the cue makes him happy by all means godspeed but I think he should just keep this as something to hang on the wall
How many times can one man say 'Pool Cue' in seven minutes 🤣
When are you giving this one away? 😂
Ebony and Ivory.

How can you not know the weight of a $36K cue? 🥴🙄
It's not the cue its the player..
Sorry but the man said the whole cue is made of ivory. I understand that ivory can be brittle over time so I think he truly wanted it as a show piece like look at what I got that you don't.
So did he design that cue? 😂. Jk. That’s a badass piece of billiard equipment 👍
It’s no more than $500 in my book
40k? 😂😂😂

Giveaway?? Kidding😛
Karl, my friend, as you know, I represent Pechauer Custom Cues professionally, and proudly say their work on custom cues is exceptional! They have several People's Choice winning cues that have sold for higher amounts, such as $50,000 USD in a cue with over 1300 precise inlays of Ivory, Silver, Ebony, Abalone and more. It is a beautiful collectors piece. Pechauer has also sold some of their prize-winning cues for 45,000 USD, for 40,000 USD, and 35,000 USD. All are stunning and each is a testament to the cue-making design skills of Joe Pechauer. My Pechauer cues always attract closer attention after I finish one of my trick shot shows.

Harvesting elephants is a necessary task annually. They absolutely demolish crops and farms and trees in their local habitat. They are very carefully managed for herd size, and only Professional Hunters with a permit can harvest them. Often it is a very old bull that is either weakened or ill that is harvested. A single elephant can feed an entire village for up to 1 year and nothing goes to waste. This is not like American hunters who trophy hunt a mount and ditch the rest. This is a carefully managed resource that produces food, income and necessary resources for very impoverished areas. The ivory trade is all but closed except for the Black Market and those caught with it are severely punished. So don’t fret, there was no indiscriminate killing of an animal for pure narcissism.

Pretty ugly design. Even worse that it’s all ivory.
