Of course, Damir Yavor, Sasha Pukl, Kherezunllo, La Monica, they are all mafia. Spanish judges can generally make such scandalous decisions. As a hearty PAO fan, I am embarrassed by my team's current administration. With this ridiculous statement about the war, Giannakopoulos, the owner, once again proves that he is a dangerous, prejudiced madman. And Ataman, instead of being collected, civilised and protecting the team acts like a clown with his statement. I love PAO and wish we win the series, but man this administration is bloody awful.

Regarding refs, Maccabi fans could easily feel shafted too. There were (IMHO) some ridiculous calls when quite obvious offensive fouls by Lassort went against Maccabi. But that's just what happens in Basketball. Refs are human and not perfect and mostly over 40 minutes it evens out.

I think that in the 4th q there were mistakes for both sides, lessort didn't get the foul and sloukas got the free throws... Pao was better but they made a lot of mistakes in the last minutes that's what made them lose the game probably

Pao owner and coach do the same and worse clown things in Greek league and get away with it. Fortunately not in Euroleague. They cry now for the next match, classic Pao owner,coach and fans.

Guys, I think you are inconsistent; you are saying that is a correct call and that the referee is not to be blamed but unfortunately the rule is wrong. In the other video your expert says that it is not a correct call because the player is not in the act of shooting. And the referee made these wrong calls even after examining instant replay. And that is what Ataman cannot accept as human error and I can't either but it is just my personal opinion.

Rebounds were a problem for PAO the whole season. Fake free throws is another story and closing their eyes on the other side of the court.

I can see your position but there is another point of view. Few years back euroleague with the previous management had destroyed greek teams and if you don't believe me you don't have to, just look the fund mismanagement, the last voting where he was voted off and the claims of giannakopoulos 3 Years ago stating exactly what the problems were. Refereeing this season is atrocious and teams have been favored but also damaged. It would be nice if euroleague made a rule to stop giving free 3 points to fouls where is obvious the player ain't gonna shoot from his own home (like Blatt yesterday at the last minutes where he looked like a clown). The fouls are super normal, katas decided not to lose from less lesssort, and he fouled him whenever he got ball and this is apparent from the first game as well

Unpopular opinion but if we want to get rid of take fouls on fast breaks calling 3pt shot is the best deterant not commiting a foul. In the nba its like a technical, 1ft and a ball.

Perhaps you guys aren't well-informed, but motley is out.. Scotty Wilbekin got injured in the second quarter. Tarik Biberovic also got injured before halftime. Deshawn Pierre was out for a long time.. Fener played the last 30 minutes with about a 6-man rotation. So please, don't be too harsh on Fenerbahce.. They showed a great performance against a strong, athletic Monaco team…

Panathinaikos fan here. Here's my two cents: 1. The achievement of the team reaching the playoffs is big this year. Let's not forget that we're talking about a totally new team with a new coach. Professional sports is not fantasy, players and coaches need to get familiar with each other and learn how to play together. 2. Nobody expected Panathinaikos to finish in 2nd place this season. This attitude from the coach and the management in the playoffs can make a successful European season be considered a failure, which is unfair for the players and for the club itself. 3. The focus on the referees by both Ataman (the video he demonstrated) and official Panathinaikos are not helping the team at all, quite the contrary. First, they are causing trouble to Panathinaikos (Euroleague has said it's going to take disciplinary measures). Second, they do not help the players to focus on the game and to find motivation, they are creating alibis that "referees are the one to blame if we get disqualified". This is not the right way to do things, and this would never be the approach of the coach and the club when Pavlos and Thanasis Giannakopoulos and Zeljko Obradovic were at the helm. I'm not saying that every call was right, I'm saying that this shouldn't be the focus. If the club felt that they were treated unfairly, there are official Euroleague channels to complain (what Euroleague said in their announcement today). 4. It's a pity that we end up talking about everything else except for basketball right now. We have two great teams with amazing legacies in Europe and we end up talking about announcements and complaints instead of basketball. I hope Panathinaikos manages to bounce back in the series today. For this to happen, the team needs to control the pace of the game, to secure the defensive rebounds and to not allow Maccabi's transition. I hope we can control Colson tonight, as he has caused us a lot of trouble during the 1st game and we're going to miss Juancho today.

I find the idea of final four stupid. The finals should also be played over 5 games just like quarter finals. This will add more excitement, more games for the home fans plus much more money from the ticket sales and broadcasts. Also, the idea of play-in is equally stupid, 34 regular season games is decisive enough for qualification.

what is the point of making a video with a referee coach who says that the free throw calls were wrong according to European rules but you say in this video the calls were correct according to the rules ( even though you don't like the specific rules in Europe). Panathinaikos organization is unfortunately trapped within their bosses toxic attitude. This guy keeps provocating and insulting everybody, even his own teams legends like Thanasis Giannakopoulos, Diamantidis, Alvertis, Zelico Obradovic. He also sympathises and frequently quotes fascists like Golden Dawn in Greece or Marine Le Pen, throwing racist and sexist slurs every now and then on instagram. He keeps blaming everybody but himself about his total failure as a president these 12 years. The problem is that young Panathinaikos fans, that haven't really experienced his father's era, where nothing like that happened, believe that this is the normal behaviour, overall creating a toxic environment throughout the whole organization

It's a fact that generally the 3 free throws thing is becoming pretty much ridiculous.

Le me guess this without losing 65min of my life. Whatever Pao says or does is ridiculous, Obradovic wasnt stolen 2012,then Pedoulakis, then Pasqual, then Pitino and now Ataman. On the other hand Oly and Bartzokas fight against all odds, all refs and when he talks them out hes right and should be awarded a prize.

Pao fun here. Our president for better or worse is the most fanatical fun of the team. That led him to make crazy statements, decisions etc. But also that drives him to spend like crazy and support the team with millions of euros (as opposed to our football owner). We (the pao funs, not everyone else) have to respect that. This is our president and we have to support him.

Very nice basketball show..This show has obsession with panathinaikos.

Clubs, coaches and mostly the players, are the protagonists of Euroleague. If Ataman wants to complain about the ridiculous 3point calls, he can. Euroleague should let the protagonists play the game and not fine clubs, players and coaches. Their only job to make a fair championship and they're missing big time. A lot of players this year complained about the referrers.

Guys, focus on facts.. once a reg ref being near the incident makes the correct choice, the other ref vcoming from the center of the court changes the final decision. You should watch multiple times the video Donatas made with the veteran referee.. Not a PAO fan.. Dime incidents are a disgrace fir the sport.. like lady year Real scums' behaviour.. You day PAO is complaining that Brown takes a whistle because of the war in Gaza. Guanbakopoulis us out if limits here.. but he has a point. Euroleuague we would possibly like to have Maccabi to go further.. like a basketball Cinderella.. away from home etc.. all this passive aggressive story. Didn't Heirozzuelo (possibly I write his name wrong) send a written note to all Euroleuague refs in being very very careful about deciding there is act of shooting when there is a foul and the player far away from the basket throws the ball to whatever direction so he can have free throws? In another game the scum player had his free throws given to him even if it was quite obvious he was about to pass, not to shoot.. he was not watching the basket at all.. I don't know which is reason behind all this.. I know what I see.. and I see incapable referees (this is the optimistic guess).. A coincidence repeated multiple times.. is not a coincidence.

Pao have a good team this year and they have proven it many times on the court. But the organization does not work well and in every case like this it starts from the top of the pyramid. P.S: I still think they are the favorites cause I see it going to 5 games and they will have home court

Statement was an effort to put refs under microscope to avoid "mistakes" in the next matches. There was no racism towards Israel it was targeted to the refs and the refs only. But you can keep barking saying that game was "cool" to watch. The Fener Monaco game was also "cool" for a casual watcher seeing a close game but even as a Pao fan i could not enjoy it while seeing how the refs favored Monaco.

Eurovision is 50% crowd picks to its obvious they would win by popularity. Referees were instructed clearly this year not to give such fouls

They had 1 point lead, and you don’t give them 2 fouls…You have to defend first, but it seemed that Mike made foul intentionally, Mike was too confident that Calates will miss one or two shots and he was too confident in himself

Whats this hype with Bartzokas Olympiakos.?As far as I am concerned it is a defensive outlet ,playing 90s defence and exchanging alot of passes in the other end. Sometimes it is not so appetite to watch. Unless you are Olympiakos fan of course

The thing that DPG fails to understand is that there is absolutely no need for all this involvement, as it actually backfires most of the time. Why on earth would Euroleague want a team with such owner to win titles and be the "face" of the league? He has made great efforts this year building this really good team, with one of the best coaches as captain of the ship but he's been recently doing all this unnecessary stuff that will end up harming the team. Ataman knows what he's doing to earn a few 50-50 calls in the next games, although he was a bit over-dramatic and clearly Game 1 loss had nothing to with the refs. But it's his way of doing things, every coach has one. Zeljko does this in press conferences, Bartzokas during the games (never stops talking to the refs), Saras being sarcastic etc.

Watching you guys for years and I do think that you are knowledgeable around the sport and nice guys. I am following European Basketball since 1996 every year. You have gone too far with the Pao disrespect. I know that you know how well connected Maccabi / Cska / Olympiakos / and Barcelona are with the leadership in Euroleague. The issue has started since 2009 if not earlier when they tried to give the trophy to Cska after a 20 point lead during the final and Thanassis Gianakopoulos was throwing 500Euro bills on the head of Bertomeu. 34 games this year and Euro Mafia decided to throw all that in the dumpster. There is a problem with Dimitris Giannakopoulos and Eurolague and its also his fault on a great extent and if this is not solved Pao will need to sign Jokic to go to the F4 or go the team budget to 60 mil to overcome the hostile Euroleague environment. It is not one match here and one there its a trend for the past 12 years minus the years that Pao gave up. They should have respected the effort of Pao this year to play beautiful basketball, get tickets sales and visibility up for Euroleague and not destroy them on the first opportunity they get.
