Ultimate Suzuki Samurai Episode 15. It's Done!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Our Ultimate Suzuki Samurai is done and heading to King of the Hammers! This Samurai is so crazy in person. This is going to be one of the most capable rock crawlers I will ever build, and I couldn't do it without your support. Being able to continue this project from Xtreme 4x4 and Four-wheeler tv is a real honor.

Will do! Thanks dude
I would take the top to a leath shop and get them to add a 2" flap on the end of the top. Because I agree with you, it needs to be just a little bit longer. Still looks great!

I'm glad you think so! Unfortunately, the how-to videos get so many fewer views. But I love building, so I will continue oddball projects and share the journey with you guys 🤘

@@DirtLifestyle you do a great job of mixing up the perfect blend of what we’re interested in.
Love the electrical side of building. I wish you could put out more technical how-to videos about topics like wiring and build methodology, but so few people watch it because they don't understand it... Can't wait to see some footage of it wheeling.
Just bought a welder a couple weeks ago your channel has helped me start building stuff for my own Jeep
I cheered when I heard it start up! Soo excited to see more videos of the Samurai! Oh your vid thumbnail is broken.
Way to go dude! Stellar work. That was a really satisfying episode to watch. I’m super stoked for you, man.

Okay I just KNOW you guys must have worked so hard on getting that tiny engine bay all packaged up nicely, and I wanna say it was so worth it. So clean! Looks great 👍
Have fun at Hammers!
Bad ass!!! Can’t wait to see how it performs at KOH!!!

Dude me too. The anticipation is ruining my sleep patern lol.
I can not wait for the KOH video. Dying to see the stuki in action :)
Heck yea nate. Your buggy is a dream come true. Hard work you put into it and the passion you have for your craftsmanship mixed together makes one killer sami. This build serires has been awsome thanks for sharing it with ppl like me. Please keeep the vids coming love your content weather its wheeling or fabin
Hands down the best off-road channel on KZread. From weekend warrior channels to high dollar comerical ones. Of the 71 channels I'm subscribed to, this is the one I enjoy the most. Watching your fab work has pushed me to take on projects I otherwise wouldn't have had the confidence to do. Not just the knowledge, but the excellent video and editing work. Okay I'm at risk of sounding like a kiss-ass, but figured you deserved some kudos. This channel has upped my game, and I appreciate it.
so pumped to see it headed to Hammers! great job guys
The look on your face when it started moving was priceless!
Sick build dude. Something like this has been my dream off-road build since i first saw an LJ10 in the 70s.
AMAZING Nate …. Congrats!!
Looks awesome. Will be great to see video of it at KOH. I bet this thing will probably need what seems to be crazy low spring rates. It can't have more than 1250 lbs or so of sprung weight. The initial rate of the rear is likely going to be comically low. If it weighs 1250 with a 60/40 F/R split, that's 250 lbs of sprung weight on each rear corner. To compress a spring 8 inches the initial rate would need to be 31.25 lbs/in. The gear and the driver and passenger are going to be a significant part of the spring weight.
Such a great build. Keep doing what yer doin.

Watching Ian build this when I was younger, now seeing you turn it into this has been so awesome. It would be a sweet build either way, but knowing the history of the rig makes it even better.
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! Now I'm MORE excited for the next video. 😂😂😂
Amazing, so glad to see it run, great job on the last finishes, the French top looks great! Can't wait to see it wheeling!!
Congrats man! So good🎉
Well done Nate and team. Can hardly wait to see you at KOH wheeling your rig.
I love this Sammy from it’s beginning. You have the badest one ever. Awesome job man.

GREAT WORK Nate. You got talent bro.
Your tj is perfect the way it is and now that this is done I want to see the Jeep truck build lol
Nate, my man 👏👏 well done. And congratu-fricken-lations brother.
Can't wait to see it on the trail!
If you decide to update the top in the future a canvas shop makes custom covers. Example if you needed a canvas cover for your boat they could make you a custom cover. It’s the same place. Keep up the work , your videos always inspire me and I finally bit the bullet and started building my own rock sliders for learning how to weld.
Been waiting for this video for awhile now.. she looks darn good Nate.. cant wait to see her in action at koh
$$$ so stoked my dude. Great job getting it running.
I live in Australia, so heat is more of an issue than snow, but I've always run adjustable temp sensors for the coolant. It just means when you're going slow in the summer, you can set it to pre-emptively start cooling at a lower temp. And then run the heater for extra cooling efficiency 😂 FYI heaters are a legal requirement here to demist the window. Extra FYI, I want the mTDI setup because it runs underwater
YES!
Gorgeous! Such an amazing build!
Great job Nate! Your hard work has paid off. Inspiring to see anyone succeed with a focus and drive to create!! You’ll just keep making it even better too 👍
Another truly awesome build. Love the channel.
Awesome to see a KOH Samurai. I kind of grew up with them so they hold a place in my heart! I just subbed to your channel. 😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are amazing. Welding, laything, fabrcating and then tou start electrical stuff. I sit here open mouthed and amazed.
I need to see this beast wheelin!!!🎉
this is one of my favorite builds of all time. great engineering. unique. killer color combo. cool parts from all over the world. super interesting driveline. and its a vehicle with a cool history.
I’ve built a couple Samurai’s but nothing this complex! Great video and can’t wait to see how it does on the trails.
Wow!! Nate, I must say you and your channel are responsible for me having a bare Jeep LJ frame, welder and plasma cuter in my garage! I'm doing stuff I always wanted to, but I never thought I could, thank you for all the inspiration and giving me confidence to at least go try and build stuff! THANK YOU!
Great DIY on de-pinning and re-pinning connectors. It's not as bad as many people think, like you said. Glad to see the Sammy moving under it's own power! It must feel great!
Nevadan here: yesterday i drove Pete's Summit road over the Toquima Range. Thanks to techniques and patience I learned by watching you, it was an uneventful (but exciting) trek. You make a difference, thank you!

Love this project and the overall build.
I love the Mog axles. Don’t see them much anymore. The Zuk looks amazing.
That right there is so much more rad then I thought it was going to be!! Enjoy the hammers I’m sure you are going to have a blast👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks for all you do Nate! I'm excited and happy for you. I loved this build and can't wait to see what's to come.
Awesome job on this one! one of my favorite fab/off-road channels on YT! I'll be coming from Pennsylvania to KOH, I'll be looking for this Samurai and it would be cool to meet the driver too so if some weird guy in a Blue first gen 4Runner approaches you, thats me 😂😂
Thanks nate for always being a solid dude, your videos inspire me to no end to continue my off-road dreams and passions.
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
Dude looks so so so so awesome!!!! I can’t wait to see it at the hammers. Hopefully I get a chance to take a look up close and say hello. Man it just looks and sounds so good, can’t wait to see it on the rocks.

upholstery shop will get you where you need to go for the top. they will add more material or creat whatever you need. there's several to choose from here in the pnw with all the boats needing work.

Agreed. Boat upholsterer or awing shop is where I'd go to get a top designed & made to fit exactly how you want.
You should find you a southbend lathe or something similar. You would be happy about that purchase.
Absolutely amazing build
You dont gotta worry about that noise it'll figure itself out haha badass build feller ready for them KOH vidyas of it
Nice job Nate, i enjoyed the build and learned a few things. Starting a build myself with Unimog axles and turbo diesel. Looking forward to your next build.
As always, I love the details. And can’t wait to see it in action!
Congratulations! I can't wait to see the next one!
Bro. I'm scared for the next problems on my samurai lol 1.6 buggy, I'm nowhere near your league but. This buggy is my first time turning wrenches on my own, learning what bolts to even take off. Now after only replacing my first rear main, flywheel an clutch, after fully submerging and rolling it. I don't know how I got it going again. But getting some cool ideas an learning a lot from this build one vid at a time. Can't wait to see, a suki take KOH 🙌🔥

@DirtLifestyle got a tick tick starter. No Spark at plugs after charging clutch 😅 no idea what I did
good effort, look forward to a wheeling video, I just asked a local company here in New Zealand that makes boat covers and boat sun/top and gave them my samurai buggy and they came up with a design, its worked perfectly for about 8 years to date, from memory it only cost about $120/150 USD. It seems to connect in a similar manner to your new top. There are some videos on my channel if anyone is interested. Cheers
I've been waiting to see this video. 🤙
Mormon missionaries at 16:52, lol. Awesome work! About to start the rebuild of my Defender 300tdi engine. …. Wish me luck.
ITS ALLIIVVEEEE!!!! Cant wait to see this thing on the trails!
Great move on the cover for the tandem pump. I’ve been down that road before and it wasn’t fun. Not much room there by the firewall on mine!
Sounds awesome!
Be mindful those temp switches are made for a block which is grounded, radiators usually aren’t, because they’re rubber mounted so you may need to run an earth strap to the rad for continuity. 👍🏻
Brings back memories my 68 bronco with a heater made for a boat and a bikini top custom cut and sowed for me by a friend who made boat covers.
I just get my TIG welder in the mail, can't wait to be able to make better fabrication items for my swaps. Reusing everything factory does not help the engine bay looks, and yours is awesome!
NATE!!! Cant Explain how long we have been waiting for this video! Just saying you should make a TDI Swap meetup at KOH!! Ill be there!

Hell yeah Nate!!!! Thanks bud.
Absolutely fuc$ig awesome work Nate and Matt! You guys rock! It was a pleasure to see the beast come to life once again 🎉
Mad skills. Turned out amazing. Hope it wheels as good as it looks.
Man, i love seeing this rig being rebuild with someone who loved the OG Show like i did
That's a nice zook! They make a soft flap divider that sits behind the seats, should also help keep the heat in some.
Here I am stressing about changing my plugs and ignition system in my 90’s truck. Nice work! I hope to one day be able to build my own truck.
Excited to see it running Johnson Valley will definitely find any weak point can't wait to see that happens and excited for rear steer
I feel like this channel is the only one producing one banger after another
Add a 2nd wire to the probe for the earth circuit to prevent electrolysis in the radiator
Great Job Nate See you on The Lake Bed!

Super Exciting the Ultimate Sami rolls coal!!
Hell yea!
The laugh as you’re driving it out of the shop… priceless 🎉
The top is awesome. I live near amish where im at and we can take them dimensions of something that youd like and they will sew it up and they do an amazing job with real leather!
Awesome build
The top if and when you need a new one. You may look for a shop that sews tents, boat sails or tarps for semi trailers.
You should bring that beast to Zookimelt in July and come hang out with all us Suzuki nuts.
👍🏽🇺🇸👍🏽 awesome job Nate.. I love this Zuk
