Would you ever consider making a video showing how to build something similar starting form a bare workbook?

Thank you for the templates and explaining everything in detail so well. Definitely gonna follow this channel. Too bad my excel doesn't support xlookup but I managed to get by with Vlookup instead. Would you consider teaching macros?

This is a great detail description of the spreadsheet, thank you for putting it together. and while I completely understand why you would want to include the video of yourself working on it. The placement of that feels like 25% or more of what you are trying to show is hidden. It makes it very hard to follow what you are doing and to be able to replicate it myself.

Thanks Kaitlin! Sorry about that, when I record the video I sometimes forget where the small window of myself is. From about 4mins on I do ensure the window is made smaller, but you are right I could put this in a better spot or even remove it. Glad you enjoyed anyway!

Hi John. You can download the template file from the link in the description and see, but basically it is just shapes with text over top, then the text boxes / menu items are hyperlinks to other tabs in the workbook, so you just have to set up each tab identical on that side. Hope that helps.

Nice spreadsheet, how did you create the tabs within the sheet? I would be interested in learning how to do that.

Hi there! It is actually really easy, each label is just a text box object, and once you have created them you can right click and hyperlink it to e.g. cell A1 on another tab. Then it’s just about aligning everything on each tab so it looks seamless. You can download the excel template from Dropbox, link in description

How do I remove the "blank" row from the pivot table? I was able to filter it out, but it is preventing me from formatting the dates properly.

Hi Matthew! Sorry this was only an issue I realised after making the template. The best thing to do is delete all the blank table rows in your data section and each time you add a new record it will make a new row, so there will be no blank rows :)

Hi Rushi, the investment tab is not needed, I split them out for my own personal version but you can keep track of everything in the Net Worth Data tab :)

How does the refresh button function?

Hi there! It is just a macro, really easy to record using the refresh button on the data tab, then assign the macro to the object using right click! Hope that helps
