I had seen your previous video and purchased the enhanced template. I was glad to see you had this video. This is perfect. I have been using a basic spreadsheet that did some of this on a rudimentary level. I wanted to step it up, and this template has almost everything on my wish list.

Again, great videos. I have multiple businesses which I've been running for about 3 years by the seat of my pants. So I'm glad I found this. I just need to figure out how to make it work for my multiple variable income streams. But this gets me on my way. Thank you.

Thank you for a budget that actually allows for fortnightly income not monthly! All the ones I've seen only have monthly & it's very annoying as many expenses are also fortnightly to fit the income

Do you have a plan to add .CSV files to import data from CC and Debit cards or have a suggestion that would add the column fields? I'm a retired financial advisor and love the format....great job!

**Regarding Semi Monthly pay periods (1st and 15th). Semi monthly not currently an option. You could enter that income source 2 times. Once monthly on the first and once monthly on the 15th!!

Great content and exactly what i need! But, i live in Denmark (Scandinavia) and have a different date format and currency. Also my setup is in danish. Will the free template guide with your formulas and different date format+currency? I know its easier to download the template, but i love the learning by doing it myself :)

I like something that uses Envelopes, electronic obviously. So I can deposit money into the various envelopes and withdraw when the expense comes due. In the mean time I accumulate the deposits until needed.

For the fix income source should I put my net income or gross income?

Can I change the date of when I received my expected income/expenses in the adjusted to fix? Someitmes my paychecks come in a day or 2 different than my expected date.

I live in Australia where the date format is dd/mm/yyyy. Is it easy to change the format in the template?

Hi there! I love your budget spreadsheet, but once I get to row 38 on the template it stops getting picked up by the based budget tracker. Is there a correct way to add rows for more fixed expenses without compromising the formulas?

Not yet. From what I saw in some of his responses, you can add those in the Variable Expenses.

I've been using the basic version for a while. I was wondering if there is a way to format the forecast so that it either creates a cell for todays date and jumps to it, or it jumps to the next payday. I'm just trying to prevent scrolling down and catching up to todays date range every time I open the document.

You could hide older cells or hit CTRL+F and then type todays date

Thank you so much for making this template available for download. I am running into a wall though. I was able to get it, download it, and make a copy, but when I exit out of Sheets and go back in later, the budget doesn't show. Not does the original Sheet that I make a copy from. Is there an option that can tell you where to pull money from for certain bills. Say I put in $300 earned, can it tell me to allocate certain amounts for specific bills? Not sure if I am explaining it right.

Awesome video. What’s the difference between the basic template & extended? It says “dashboard included” but what does that mean? In your video did you use the basic or extended sheet?

The video is the basic version. The extended has categories and a dashboard that lets you see your spending habits. Shows details about min,max,average balance, top expenses and income vs expense. Also can look at trends with any expense. Pretty cool actually. Categories are completely customizable too! I think it’s great value…but I might be a bit bias.

I bought this on Etsy and it has been extremely useful. I'm experiencing a problem with your Query Formula ($0 Based Budget Checking tab, Cell C3). It pulls all of the fixed expenses from the fixed categories set up, but only up to row 36; anything below that row isn't included (pulled) onto the $0 Based Budget Checking tab, giving me an incorrect running balance. Could you please share the formula that fetches up to at least Row 150 from the Fixed Categories Set up tab? I'm having difficulty and require assistance.

The formulas are in the background. Any additional fixed expenses would need to be added in the variable tab

I have a drop-down for all 12 months for groceries, fuel, fast food, and misc shopping. How can I enter a different value for each month in a specific cell?

So, you mention in the beginning of the video about people asking if it could be downloaded. I was waiting for that info but didn't hear it. Did I miss that part? I would love to be able to just download it. Thanks!

I love the original budget, so what's different about this one?

I think I must be overlooking the info. What does the colors changing in the running balance column mean? What triggers the color changes?

Would be awesome if you made a tracker for self employed people in the service industry . I never go below making 4k a month usually 4-7k a month but still want to plan in a organized manner. Any tips ?

I would estimate low and adjust as you go. Basically budget on the lower end

im not sure if you are going to see this but i purchased your budget and for some reason on the 0 based budget and the adjustment tab its starts at 1900-1918 then its transtions to the correct time is there a issue with the doc or can i fix it

I have a problem with the Budget Smarter_Extended Plan... when I enter the Fixed Categories Setup more than row 36, they are no longer correctly registered to be reviewed in the Adjustments to Fixed sheet... Because of all the background formulas, you can’t add additional expenses to set up page. You could add them manually to the variable expenses page.

There is a lot of background formulas. So adding more won’t work. You could add them manually in the variable space. I plan on updating with more expenses down the road

Why do I have to go through all these steps? Because I want to learn how to do this.
