Just to clarify, yes, Y'shtola is blind, but she utilizes her own aether to basically sense the aether of things around her. And thankfully on Hydaelyn, pretty much everything is comprised of some sort of aether. Even the ink in books. The reason she asks Urianger to describe the sky in ShB is because anything beyond the atmosphere is too far away for her to sense. If anything the main issue is that using her aether to see is supposed to tire her out more (not drain her life, as the english localization accidentally implied), and that's what doesn't get addressed enough in the story.

In defense of Zenos -- if FFXIV was a normal (non-offline) JRPG the end scene of EW where we die together would've been it. I also think they would've leaned more on the 'my mirror' thing, displaying how Zenos is essentially WoL without friends or Hydaelyn guidence - same power level, same obsession with fighting ever stronger foes, but without any connection to others to provide meaning to his 'hunt'.

Largely agreed, except with Papalymo. I always got the impression of "big brother" energy between him and Lyse, and he did protect her secret. There's also the reason why you don't see him any more that gets him a boost in my book. But just to "B" teir.

i always say, if Gaius had taken off his helmet in Prae when asking my WoL to join him, my WoL would've experienced a whole other story.

Loved this video! I haven't played all expansions yet, and my memory is terrible but anyway: 1. Edmont de Fortemps - Completely disagree! He gave us asylum, even at his own risk. He gifted us with resources, intel, and even respectability, we become part of his house, and to top it all, his courageos oldest son was our most beloved friend I'm using the title "House Fortemps Knight" for a long time 2. Magnai Oronir - Completely agree! I didn't love the character's character but his looks were awesome! Because of him I fall in love with Au Ra, and changed my female Miqo'te for a male Au Ra 3. Gaius van Baelsar - What I can say... COMPLETELY AGREE!!! One of the few characters I like in ARR so I was elated when we met him again, he may has many remarkable qualities but in the end, Hot IS HOT, no need for anything else

I'd have to assess Moenbryda with a grade based on her character and knock her down 1 from that because of the fact we spend 10x more time mourning and reminiscing her than she was ever on screen.

I like the list overall. But If they were on the list, I would put: Elidibus in the "I can fix them" tier she got going on at the top Nero, Yugiri, Hilda, and Pippin in B. Ilberd and Varis also go in the paint shaker Teledji, Vauthry, and Yotsuyu's parents goes in the paint shaker for a longer amount of time

Cid is like Sam Elliot for us old ladies which is why we like him and he deserves at least A tier. Haurchefant needs his own top tier category because he is just so darn lovable. (toy boy category for us old ladies) Sacrilege! Not liking Loporrits! Puddingway is my Spirit Animal! Wuk Lamat is gonna make my Khajiit-in-FFXIV dreams come true! I cannot wait to take her and my female Hrothgar to visit the Slyphs so we can annoy everyone by saying "this one" in every sentence and use Ta'agra (Khajiit language) when talking to people in chat. I got big plans for RP stories with Wuk. :)

She uses aether to see, which is why she doesn't recognize the WoL at first in shadowbringers because they are full of light aether. Due to a mistranslation, people think this is killing her. It's not.

I am not into these crazy top tier ranking system of which characters I like over the other one. I have my personal favorites that are equally important to me. Yes, I might like one over the other, yet I just based it on their characteristics than who I favorite the best. For me, there is no such thing. I just like the character or not. Simple and easy.
