I've seen a wipe on Cape Westwind in my time. And I don't mean right back when it was new either. Like a year or so before they removed/changed that battle. I'm with others commenting here that I miss seeing that come up on trial roulette. Was always a bonus.

@@Arekiris Allot of modders have a gate keeper attitude toward console, so it's not surprising this "test" is very PC leaning. But anyone who works on GPOSE regularly knows how easy it is to "steal bones". So the platform you are on doesn't really matter at all. In lamens terms, if you don't mod someone else can do it for you and share what they see.

9:31 Yeah I’m colorblind so there are some UI elements I literally cannot see in vanilla. 20:37 I once met a ranged DPS who tried to solo hallways before the tank got there, died, caused us to wipe, wasted her LB on a pack of four normal mobs, and flamed my friends and I when we asked her to stay with the party. I'm 8 years subscribed but would still consider myself uber uber casual. I literally just play to press the buttons. Unlike FFXI I've never ever felt the need to install any plugins on FFXIV. FFXI was borderline unplayable for me without Windower. Even when the game finally had a windowed mode added it was about 1/10th as useful as Windower. And the /distance plugin was EXTREMELY useful in that game. Same with ambient lighting plugin. FFXIV just seems to work ok in vanilla for me. Same with Minecraft. I'm happy with it 'out of the box.' (another game I play just for the joy of pressing the buttons repeatedly.)

The purity test was so boring for me because I just don't use mods and I'm not a dick to people in roulettes. I'm feeling like an NPC

I’m still not sure how anyone knows about the Lala parades. My brother plays now and when we’re on together I run around “harassing” him with my Lala… among other randoms. 😂

Same here with the ACT thing. I tried it for maybe a couple of days. All I ascertained from it was that tanks can out dps actual dps jobs in guildhests. I don't do ANYTHING regarding late game stuff like savage etc. etc. I only do the stupid dungeons for MSQ progression tbh. So I absolutely am not the target audience for ACT to be fair.

about automarkers. maybe you could have seen them if you have tried uwu. many pf parties use them for the gaols with titan. where each player is quickly given a number to show which order they have to stand in. that's the only place I've seen them. I'm sure they are used in other places as well but for uwu it almost seems to be the default

Decided to take the test myself before watching and I'm surprised I was like a 96/100. My main sin being automated crafting.. I used to craft for days w/o doing anything else and I think I would have quit because of how soul sucking crafting was for me.. It being automated to an extent lets me focus on actually doing the MSQ instead of being a craft addict..

I got a 94/100, just playing on Playstation and not being able to mod counts for a lot I guess.

I think I got a fairly high score, just because I don't used mods, never have, my only hits are I RP at times. 91/100.

I got an 82/100. I feel like I am too nice now and I follow too many rules lol. I need to up my game in terms of being an asshole, because I am too scared of doing something that will get me in trouble or banned, so no mods for me lol.

i've been playing for like a year and a half and i got a 95 (probably because i play vanilla lol)

Back in the days of FFXI I've quit an actual Linkshell because high ranking members of that linkshell were whining about me dual-boxing and having my own WHM/75 (at that level cap) outside party healer to keep my character alive. Like it was actually affecting them? All right, when I was tanking with a PL healer, it could make the party healer somewhat superflous. But who cares really? Let them all leech the exp as far as I was concerned. I now have the voice in my head of Megan from 'Dead Pixels' crying out to the noobs in Kingdom Scrolls, "You're playing it WRONG!" lol

I find it much easier than some other games. If you want an easy gil farm you can buy dyes from a merchant in limsa lominsa on hawkers alley and resell on the market board for an inflated price. That's what I did when I first started. If you have access to bozja try joining farm parties- you can resell a lot of the fragments for bunches of gil. If you like gambling...get to eureka pagos and start tracking king arthro and cassie through eorzean weather- they are on 2hr timers crab is fog cassie is blizzard...these two have a chance to drop items that sell for MILLIONS. Happy hunting!

As a roleplayer myself, I honestly find the use of mods detracts from my experience more than it enhances it. Mare politics is a thing, and I started picking glams based on what I could mod. Don't blame you at all for stopping. It's just easier to play and roleplay in the game without them. ~ZJ

Not surprised this is coming from Lost Ark. And really, can't blame the playerbase; gotta blame the devs - They designed the game this way. Nobody wants to waste 50 minutes of wasted attempts if you can instead increase your chances by using parse-plug-ins. Don't get me wrong, I hate sweaty people like that, but it's ultimately not their fault.

It kinda is. You don't have to waste '50 minutes' on failing mechanics. I don't use any add ons or anything and the only time anything has ever taken that long is on the 2dn Trial Boss of EW. You don't have to be amazing to finish a trial or raid. Most things are blown through now a days. The entire point of the harder difficulties is because it is difficult. And anyone who uses mods for PVE or PVP specifically heavily I hope gets banned in the future.

@@iceman3317 It's unfortunately not that simple. The harder content offers better loot in a shorter amount of time. I agree with the sentiment that difficult content is supposed to be difficult for a reason, but with people being eager to get their stuff done quickly they also started to gatekeep, which in turn makes people to look for efficient methods to clear those raids or to be part of those raids to begin with. The situation in LA is pretty dire in that regard, the 'New Player'-experience is basically non-existent as soon as you approach "End-game" because you will have a rough time to get a party without "most optimal gear". But that's a different can of worms by itself.

"Pull the boss while a sprout is watching a cutscene". Toto Rak exists, so that is a yes for everyone by default. Don't be shy, we all know you did it.

Why are you embarrassed about being an RP'er and then feel ashamed for having spicy mods, but then don't do NSFW RP? Something doesn't add up here... You got in trouble for advertising in the "Wrong" PF? Someone must've reported you and they take they game far too seriously and need to touch grass. The GM should also jail the person who reported you. And if the GM jailed you with no report, then that GM needs to touch grass. That's such a terrible reason to jail someone. While SE won't jail and suspend all these World's First streamers and raiders who use cheating mods. And anyone who uses parsing mods should also be suspended. You don't need them. It makes the game worse for everyone else. Just suspend people who use them. Aesthetic mods don't matter because it doesn't affect anyone else's experience. But people take raiding FAR too seriously. Sorry, I'm not going to take a game so serious that I have people stressing me out. It's not a job. You want to stress me out? Pay me. $100 per hour. Raiding isn't worth the stress. People who take raiding that seriously and treat it like a job literally need to go touch grass for a month with nothing but the clothes on their back. They need a nature vacation away from civilization and technology.

I can speak on the embarrassment of RP while not engaging in erp, and also having some spicy mods. My spicy mod was literally a body mod that was nude by default. The body type suited my character lore far better than vanilla. That's it. No erp. Eventually, I found a nevernude version. However, the embarassment comes from literally everyone thinking RP = ERP. Looking for RP? You're gonna get people hitting on you, assuming erp most of the time. If you have friends in game, someone is going to assume you do ERP, even if you don't. Also, I agree about your other points 100%

wait, than console players are the untainted..., dirty PC players, ...yucky
