No chain guard on those new chain rings, huh? I guess I got lucky, as my 45T has a chain guard - And what a huge difference it has made on my Cruiser. That 56T front chain ring is a joke, in my opinion. Like you, when hitting MY top speed of 33MPH (so low due to my bike weighing 140 pounds now) I don't get ghost-pedaling, but my cadence is definitely faster, but I'm okay with that. Love the HappyTail references ..Hahaha. OMG the "I'm UL Certified" shout outs were hilarious..! Great video..!

Great comparisons thanks! And yes that bike looks killer stripped down without racks/fenders. I'd do the same thing if I had it, I don't need that stuff anyways. With the power that bike has I'm thinking a 48t chain ring would also be a nice compromise to get lower gearing for hills without sacrificing much top end speed. Another plus with a smaller chain ring is that it gives you more clearance between it and the ground, so your less likely to smack the chain ring going over bigger rocks, logs ect.

Similar to terrain and topography you rode in this Video!!! Go Mt Diablo!!! 666!!! The Beast!! Devil Mountain!!! : ) Awesome Content like always! You are appreciated and hearted by "Cit Heads" like me and "The Chit Head Nation"!!!! I'm going to lower my gearing as you recommend as I don't need all the top end, but lower end would come in handy to get me up the steep prolonged grades. First thing I did was remove the rack and headlight!!Lokks Bad Ass now I think!!! "Manly and burly!!! Like Diablo!! Lol.. Still have tail Light Gorilla Taped to the frame until I can decide how to mount it in back or just snip the wires. Which I would not really want to-do.. Did you have to modify the length of the chain at all and does it tend to jump the sprockets with the new gearing as I noticed you through off the chain?? Anyway!!! Thank You!!! Great UL Chit Head Certified Hill Test!!! FREEEEDDDOOOOMMMM!!!!! : )
