    I really appreciate that you now bring a more complete context to these scenes. Absent context, the exact same video's from major outlets often just provide the quoted media release which is not helpful for the true recognition or relevance of what's being shown.

    Why Ukrainians felt confident storming this trenches with such quick movements is that they recon this trenches from days, if not weeks ago with drones. No matter what people say, recon is always the best weapon to have in any army. You could have an army able to withstand some major power player countries in the world, but it means nothing without proper and reliable reconnaisance intel.

  • @Ukraineaissance2014

    @Ukraineaissance2014

    Its really, really hard to fire AT from a position like that under suppression. You have to show half your body and stay still for upto a few seconds. Better to do it from concealed areas off the main defence line. Its also absolutely bloody terrifying having tanks come your way, even just the sounds of them, a lot would rather just move back than fire a rocket off which creates a line of fire pointing right to them, and will be followed up with an HE shell from one of the tanks. Look at data for AT weapons users rate of survival when firing their weapon.

    The Russians have no modern anti-tank anti-tank missile launchers, all of which require the operator to be close to the launcher, which is risky, so they often fail to hit. They have nothing that works on the principle (shoot and forget) There are not even analogues of the Ukranian Stugna, when the operator is 10 meters away from the launcher and points it remotely. RPG 7 and its analogues are ineffective against modern tanks with dynamic protection, it takes a lot of shots and a share of luck to at least take out a tank. I should add that today in static positions there are mostly mobilized people, and their training is very low.

    1 obvious fact of lack of their anti tank abilities.. They have more than what we're shown.. and the don't show us UNLESS it misses.. Let me guess, you never or rarely seen a ukraine tank blown up? We inadvertently see wreckage of ukraine armor/tanks/trucks when they pass by them... But both sides are propaganda.. one way more extreme/very similar to north korea.. The other, trying to make it look all great, winning, In reality, keeping momentum and spirits high.. can't be showing things like patriot hit. ..they have because the footage released by civilizations showed it

  • @GasparGa

    @GasparGa

    It's probably just the fact that Ukraine has more reasons to release the footage they have, in order to show their allies that their military aid is actually useful. Russia has more reasons to not release their footage, since it can be used against them when the war is over. Also probably they have more limited access to modern drones and GoPros. I'm not an expert tho.

    @@GasparGa Generally Russians release a lot less footage and whatever they do release is usually on TG as it gets almost immediately censored on western platforms. As far as the anti tank capabilities it’s hard to judge because we see only successful Ukrainian footage here so if the BMP or the tank got blown up they wouldn’t release the footage obviously.

Beyond Zaporezhia there are places like melitopol and mariupol, and a potential to split the russians in half by reaching the black sea, in which case the russians would have to supply the southern half of the split army entirely through crimea and the damaged kerch bridge. Russia has and had to defend this area, so Ukrainians attacking there kept russians away from Kherson. Just look at a map of the area.

    You're not following the right channels. One video which made an impression on me was of a kamikaze drone hitting a Russian soldier in the ass. There's the POV video, then as it hits, the video switches to another drone recording from far away. The kamikaze drone embedded itself into his ass, knocks him to the ground, and at the same time the attached thermite grenade went off. Ouch. Pretty sure those weapons are meant for artillery, but the drone operator decided to take out that dude. I felt sorry for him, but OTOH, the Russians used incendiary weapons on Bakhmut every night for weeks. War is hell.
