Dramatic scenes unfolded at Kyiv’s central railway station on February 25, 2022, when Ukrainian guards fired shots in the air to disperse crowds. Thousands of people clamoured to board departing evacuation trains amid the Russian assault on the capital city. Many had hoped to get to the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, 70 kilometres (44 miles) from Poland.

I mean, when hundreds of people are all trying to pack themselves into a single train car, it gets chaotic. Some throw others out, some fight, and even to the point where the trains cars can’t even close their doors anymore.

It's not the security guy's fault that their country is being attacked and that the train does not have infinite space and that people are all trying to get on at once. Yes shooting into the air is a pretty old school crowd control tactic, but let's not antagonize the guy for trying to get the train moving a long.

It's a horrible situation, but what needs to happen is to get as many train loads moved as possible as quickly as possible. There's no time to let people clog the station so the train can't leave. It's a horrible situation and my heart goes out to the people of Ukraine. Bullets are the last thing these people want to hear right now but when all else fails something must be done to get the train moving.

@Arabic Reja Those unwilling to get bullet wounds, PTSD, other forms of injury from shrapnel, explosions and whatnot, and those who don't want to leave a scar in their family for the sake of a losing war. Also, those unable to fight, such as the young, the old, the women, the disabled, the inexperienced, the fearful, or the veterans who don't want to see the horrors of war again. Show some respect for these people, they can either go to safety, or have their corpses played around with by a Russian soldier then get run over by an APC. I'm unlikely to respond because it's midnight and I have better things to do.
