Definitely needs addressing. But the Tories don't care. They cut funding to so many things. They cut funding to rehab centres. The place that helped me get off heroin closed and the other one had to let half their staff go . The amount of people who lost a job then end up losing their house. The support for people like me who paid tens of thousands in taxes is just awful. They give you like 320 quid a month. I went the whole winter wrapped in blankets in a tiny studio flat with no food a lot of days. Thankfully I got a job agsin. But I was close to losing everything.

In this country, there is no excuse for any child poverty when we have a very generous welfare state. One can comfortably claim in benefits circa 32K a year with two kids, that is you would need to earn 32k a year gross to get the same amount of money as the benefits plus you get all the free dentistry etc. Anyone with kids not eating are simply bad parents, probably spending it all on themselves: Spoons every afternoon, drugs, sky tv, tabs, nailbar, botox, lip implants - then they go down the food bank saying they can't afford to feed the kids
