Khamzat needs to be main event only... He might be the most aggressive fighter in the UFC. He needs to headline every PPV card, even if he doesn't win this. His destruction of Kevin Holland and Li Jingliang were the craziest things you'll ever see.

@@capalot812 He wanted to box with burns.which was wrong approach.Belal dismantled burns by fighting smart.And he did it on 13 days notice.Khamzat could have done the same but he didn't use his wrestling effectively.And i think burns was on something in that fight.he looked jacked and stronger compared to when he fought masvidal and belal.

So Chimaev doesn't have experience fighting for 25 minutes, and if he tries to force takedowns against Usman, we might see him get tired half way through the 2nd round. If he gets tired early in the fight, it's going to be impossible to beat Usman. I really think Usman is going to win this, based on cardio, and Chimaev gassing himself out too early in the fight.

Volk won in 5 spots of a possible 15 on the cards across the 3 judges over 5 rounds 8:12 he felt like an absolute winner. Going into the 5th he was ahead by multiple points on 2 judges cards. He can’t let it get to the 5th. It’s volk who needs to take the risks. Could pay off. No one would choose to do that against Islam. But, could mean a lot of ‘make em pay, make em miss’ by Islam tagging Volk from the outside. I’m eager to see how Islam handles the pressure of a champion with high level striking who uniquely MUST try to close space and touch him as often as possible. IMO this is a much more dangerous fight for both of them bc of it being Volk’s last chance. He’s aware of his age. And while neither of these guys are my favorite, volk seems perfectly ready to go out in his shield round 2 if the risk is needed. And Islam must punish mistakes that under normal circumstances volk would never make. First one to blink and hesitate will lose this fight. Khabib in Islam’s corner seals. From that POV, it’s the worst possible time to fight Islam for volk given there’s even footage to base a plan around now for Khabib. But more importantly, Ilia has to be SOO happy haha win win for him. Volk just added 3 more camps a surgery and 2 wars and a couple years of damage to himself. I don’t think volk retires without fighting Ilia. Regardless of what happens atleast volk is super active which makes me happy to see.

Hes getting old, approaching the end of his prime, he takes this fight against his hardest opponent on a weeks notice, a weight class up, and if he loses he'll never get another shot at lightweight gold. That's a lot to take on with a weeks notice. I wouldn't expect anyone who's never chosen to challenge themselves in such a way to understand, but that doesn't mean you won't get checked for spouting off your idiocy.

This nothing to lose narrative is a lie. Volk was basically guaranteed a rematch even if he didn't take this short notice fight. Fighting Islam without a full camp definitely lowers his chance of winning, and if he loses again he's not getting another shot at the lightweight title, at least not against Islam.
