If you didn't know, this was my last UFC Fight week series. For years I have enjoyed being able to tell stories that grasp the audience in a way that gives them a different look. I am proud of the work I have put in. For now, I will no longer go to UFC events and cover the fighters, but I will continue to build the lead ups to fights like my prelude of ufc 294 series. Creatively, I do not like the limited range I have and access to go deeper with my fight week content, so I will not do them any more. Going forward, you will see more cinematic pieces of art from me about athletes. "The Dagestan Chronicles", Day in the life of Sean O'Malley etc. Thank you for all watching fight week content over the years. If you enjoyed them, thank you. If you didn't, I still thank you for watching. Much love. Now I go forward with other stories from people you might have not heard about. I love the fact that we get to see more humble champions nowadays, especially in the LW division. I've seen photo's of Islam and Volk at a restaurant after the fight. Both men respect eachother and they realize that when the fight ends, they also go back to their family and friends. Same goes for Oliveira who after his loss was still very humble and congratulated Islam and was also respectful enough to listen to Khabib's words after his loss. This is how fighters should be. Banter every now and then makes it entertaining but at the end of the day, you don't want to mentally hurt fighters so much that you can see them spiral downwards, like Conor did to Aldo. Volk unlike Conor showed why he's the better man and unlike Conor, he did not reject any invite nor did he insult the one who send the invite when he died (Khabib's father). These are all great, talented and whilst they are also humble they are also sumpremely confident champions but don't get that mistaken with cockiness because all 3 of them (Oliveira, Makhachev and Volk) have backed up their words.

Khabib is a lot like Conor, started the Conor rivalry by calling him Names, attacked his team mate …. Alway called Tony crazy and stupid …. Putting down octagon girls and womens MMA….. and at the same time bragging about how good he is …”29-0” “undefeated “ “these guys not on my level”. Over and over ….. it’s is great to see actual humble champs tho.

I didn't a shit about Volk after the loss I was so pumped Islam won. But the next day after I saw the photo of Volk standing in the cage with his arms up looking totally defeated you could see the human in him and I just felt like shit for when feeling the way I did at first. I truly felt so bad after hearing the press conference

Islam’s adorable smile and sense of humour were noticeably missing throughout fight week, as was his trademark post-fight celebration (double leg stomp with clenched fists). His moving comments in the cage helped to explain why. ❤ I hope he takes time to savour this remarkable accomplishment, he definitely silenced the critics with his dominant performance. I hope he gets his smile back. 😊

I like that ONE Championship has a requirement that their fighters pass a hydration level test as well as weight, to look after their health more. It’s really terrible on the body to cut weight in to an extreme level.

Will, thanks your dedication in making this journey. Respect all Dagestani team fighters and the team members, nothing comes easy, their discipline are epic, enemies only in the cage. Alex Volk and the team, they deserve respect.
