Keep in mind like half the guys in UFC sleep at the gym right this second because even most UFC fighters are functionally homeless. They can't even afford rent after paying for food, medical, and coaching with how little they get paid. 30k a fight is NOTHING. Half that and more gets skimmed immediately by your team.

As a kid i saw the suffering, killing, everything destroyed,no food,no water,no money.. just dark sadness everyday.. funerals, blood, tears, destroyed citys..... If you read this ...i wish you never see a war in your place from bottom of my heart. Nowadays we have wars and people pick sides like its a football game and that people probably dont have idea what is war at all.... I hope one day there will be no wars in this world. Sorry Brother. The world forgot you then. We all knew what was going on and thought well wishes were enough. This is often the case. Part of my family was part of a war torn country as well. We in the west idolize these hard men. As warriors. As the epitome of Masculine virtue. We don't realize these tough men never got to be happy boys. As BJJ black belt, physically tough dude (Just a little creakier in the joints in my old age), I am glad I did not have to grow up like my father. He insulated me from his trauma. My kids are monsters of little guys. Much Bigger and stronger than I ever was. Of course I want them to wrestle and box. But more than anything I want them to be sensitive, happy and loving to all. I would rather them be men of charity and peace, than warriors. If necessary they can learn to be hard men. But first they must be gentle. Helpers. It is easier to teach a scholar to be a warrior, than vice versa.

I'm happy to see Khamzat never forgot where he came from or what he has had to endure. He understands the importance of being solid and that he sells the fight but behind the scenes he is humble and he doesn't have to talk about his opponents dead relatives, or people's families, religion, etc. I hope that we get to see him fight soon after seeing how real he is, and how he cares about people who are not rich or powerful and who have had a tough life because he wasn't handed anything everything that he has he has trained his ass off almost died from Covid yet continued training and anything that he has earned he has had to literally put his life on the line and fought for all his success... Khamzat fight Shavkat and Noone will ever doubt your ability this has to be a title fight because someone is walking out of the octagon without the 0 loss in his professional career some guys never are the same after losing or after winning but taking significant damage. I wish Khamzat and everyone in the world the best in the upcoming new year let's come together for World Peace before our world is in pieces. In War nobody truly wins we all lose in some aspect.

i lost my little brother this week, he was going to turn 14 years old in march... i always admired chimaev for his inner and outer strenght, his fighting technique and overall resilience, but after this final speech i can say with my whole heart that i am his fan. doesn't matter if he fights someone from my country, i'll root for him always. it doesn't mean that i agree with 100% of his actions and opinions (hell, i do not agree 100% with anyone in the ufc lmao), but he's an inspiration for anyone who's faced war and trauma. if you lost someone who you considered a part of you, remember that it hurts but that it doesn't mean that you can't achieve greatness and honor their legacy. sending love to everyone who's reading this

Luckily we, as a family, made it out together but we left everything behind, a home, a car, my toys, just fled with the clothes we could carry. My heart goes out to all the children who suffer the most because they just can't understand what's going on.

Of course I'm paraphrasing, and I love his message, but what about the part of Islam that calls you to wage jihad against the non Muslim world? Those tears come from his heart and his heart comes from God. That has nothing to do with Allah. Maybe he would say you are right but he can be morally sincere and correct and still be wrong about who God is. Islam doesn't preach peace. Christianity does. Yep. I remember my dad making himself a "salad" with only onions and tomato paste. I remember myself discovering that licking salt may trick a hunger. Back then I didn't even understand how wrong it all was. Looking for a few spagetti sticks on the back of an empty kitchen shelf to have a crunchy little snack...

Sheds a new light on Khamzat, and the fighter he really is. Both anfighter they dominates in the ring, but one that faces unbelievable pressure outside of the ring which he faces with grace. The pain in this man’s eyes is so evident, and I can’t wait for his rise to the top. His people need a hero and an inspiration in these tough times. Khamzat, you’re my favorite fighter and if I could pick someone to train with, I’d even a short while, it would be you. So much respect my brother. 🐺 🐺 wolf pack for life 🐺 🐺 Thank you so much Patrick for shedding some life on my favorite fighter. He is truly dominate, but his personality is relayed as a cold thug. Thank for letting us see the real Khamzat.
