Yeah. But especially to me that Abdulmanap knew what it took and made it work. He knew what and how he was doing it for sure. I hope they could enjoy their time together fully. Even though their goal seems to have been the centerpiece and not always their relationship to eachother.

Khabib, in the circus of the UFC, always had his priorities straight. No bullshit. Train, eat, sleep. He probably dreams about fighting. He is a shining example of not only a great fighter, but a real man. Respectful, honest, and does what he thinks is right, not easily swayed by money and fame. All he wants to do is fight. A true warrior.

So why is no one bitching that the thumbnail is titled the "life and death of Khabib"?

The part where tears started welling up in Abdulmanap’s eyes after Khabib was announced as the champion at around 18:45 was a touching moment. I’m sure he is the type of man that will never cry under any circumstances so for that to happen says a lot about the pride he felt for his son in that moment. It’s truly a shame that Khabib had to lose him. My heart goes out to him.

What a GREAT documentary. I’ve lived 63 winters, fought for many of them, served my country for a third of them, and can still be moved by great aMen like Khabib and his father.

There are a ton of Khabib documentaries out there but it just goes to show, it shouldn't stop you from making content because we all have our unique perspectives. I think this is the best one. You went the extra mile by going into depth about Dagestan. Great work as always

I think Khabib is one of the the most humble person on earth now, with his being the most Famous athletes,. Ronaldo, Tyson, you name it. It a guarantee he could be talk loud And spit someone's face and do crazy stuff as Connor did. Khabib Is a Muslim. The principle basics into being a Muslim started by how far you can down to earth.Once you're angry or get emotion by reading this it means where your animal passion control you. I’ll say this as someone who is American with part Dagestani heritage. Khabib was the guy who put the region on the map. He’s not from my family’s particular ethnic group, but everyone loves him. He’s a national pride to all, and it was surreal seeing someone from one of the most unknown corners of the world to the average American grab the spotlight.

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov his legacy far exceeds Khabib’s. The impact he had on the community and it’s youth. He gave the youth of the region an out from life of violence and crime. His son’s success transformed the whole region and now it’s a hub for martial arts. From being a breeding ground for extremism, Dagestan is now the breeding ground for champions. It’s far greater legacy than winning a championship in a combat sports promotion.

Your ability to make documentaries illicit an emotional response while still remaining tasteful is a lost art in modern documentary making. You don't utilize just sad piano music....you build the stories to their climaxes in a very exciting and adrenaline fueled way. All the while being factual and full of class. If Khabib sees this documentary I think it would bring about a deep emotional response and resepct from him . Bravo you legend 👍

I was a casual before that Khabib-McGregor fight.I only knew McGregor,Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar(because of WWE) before that fight. But me and my whole family sat together to watch that fight.I was supporting McGregor because I had seen his highlights on tv and I didn't know who Khabib was because I wasn't that into UFC and at that time in our country WIFI and internet service was very expensive. Because I was a casual fan,I expected McGregor to knock Khabib out.I also didn't know about the history between these fighters,I just knew that this was being promoted as the biggest fight in MMA history. What I saw during those 4 rounds completely changed my perception.I was in awe of Khabib's performance.The way he absolutely humilaited him was crazy..I had never seen anything like that.I was in complete shock with the rest of my family members who were watching that fight with me. The fight ends and Khabib does what he does. I thought that was stupid and when I saw Khabib's team beat McGregor, I felt sorry for him. Then I find why Khabib did that few weeks later.I read about the history between the 2 and how McGregor disrespected Khabib,his father,his language,his religion. After learning about all those stuff,there was no way I would support McGregor.I was already a fan of Khabib's skill because of that fight but when I found out about personality,I became a Khabib fan and from then on I became a UFC fan. I don't think I've missed that many UFC pay per view event since then. About 2 years ago,I saw what Khabib said before the fight. "Alhamdulillah,I'm gonna smash your boy" "I'll make him humble" And that gave me goosebumps.That was something else.And I'm not a muslim by the way. Khabib's outburst after the fight is sompletely justified.Conor crossed the limit that no human being should ever cross and he got humilated infront of the biggest UFC crowd ever. I have completely lost respect for him. Thank God Khabib showed him how its done. Khabib changed the way I looked at fight.I thought wrestling and takedowns were boring and lame but the way he did those things against Conor and then Dustin and Gaetje,it was something else. I feel lucky to have experienced that fight and I'm glad Khabib dismanted him.If he hadn't done that I would probably still be McGregor fan which would be crazy to think. All I can say is that Khabib is an example both as an athlete and a human being. Now Islam is carrying forward his legacy and I proud to be a Khabib fan. I can guarantee you there were some tough days and some tough times in their relationship when his father was riding him but his dad was just so wise and just had his eye on the greater picture all the time instead of the moment

His 'partying' is his own downfall, which makes him less than a person you are imagining him to be. A champion also lies within his demeanor and character. Which is why you got terms like "people's champion"

Damn, I almost let the tears run a few times during this. I never had a father around when I was becoming a man and still am lost because of that at age 35. Your ability to convey Khabibs (and his fathers) journey and adversity was unparalleled. The choice of music was spine tingling at times with emotion and the transitions of Jordan Peterson talking about instilling courage. You truly have a gift my friend, with so much content out there I’m very happy I clicked on your video.

I feel you man. My dad was "around" but never really took the time to instill any kind of life knowledge. He was a good guy, he just wasn't a great teacher. Most times I tried to help him or get involved with things he was doing, it would end in him getting frustrated, and me getting yelled at and told that he would just do it himself. Be careful about trying to find that secret sauce to becoming a "man" because that path is different for almost everyone. As for myself, here are a few things that I try to do on a daily basis, and they help me feel more secure and confident in who I am, maybe it will help you in some way. 1. Love, grace, and kindness are at an all time low in this world, which means that it is in high demand. Greet everyone as a friend, and do your best to leave people better than you found them. 2. Don't say anything that you don't truly mean, never lie, and don't agree to something you don't intend to follow through with. 3. When you do agree to something, attack it with purpose and always do your best, even if it means taking longer than expected to complete. 4. Set standards for your quality of life, and do what it takes to reach those standards. I used to be a non-starter because I was afraid of failing. There's a saying that goes, "Aim for the moon. Even if you miss, you will land among stars." It's a little cheesy, but there's a great message there. While failure is not desirable, if you can honestly say you gave it your all, you will still feel better than if you had never tried at all. 5. Learn to handle adversity and take the word fair out of your vocabulary. If you have to bring unfairness to someone's attention, that person has been using you all along. Don't let people tread on you or use you as a doormat, but learn how to handle those situations with class, and don't let shitty people change who you are. At the end of the day, you are the better person if you keep you cool, but if you respond in kind to a disrespectful person, you are just as guilty as they are. Being a man is not something that just "happens". It takes work, consistency, and a lot of energy. It's easy to give up, but find a way to keep moving forward, and one day you will look back at where you used to be and realize that a real change has taken place.

I have competed in about 20 wrestling tournaments this year and have taken 1st place in all but maybe 2. Its funny because my dad is the same way. When I win he tells me "you did good" but then we watch my matches and he points out how i can get better. He never makes it like i am not good enough, he just says it like you are good, but allota guys are good, if you wanna be great u gotta get better. Super good video, it shows a good story of father and son.

What makes this documentary more special than other ones is that it sheds more light on Khabib father's role in preparing Khabib to be the legend he is.

Patrick, you are truly an Amazing filmmaker. This was so well done that I hold this documentary to be the new bar to attain. I hope to one day grow to do work this well done. Definitely subscribed.

For me he's the best of all time. I can't imagine him losing and I'm glad in a way that he went out as the best.

When Justin Gaethje went to console a crying, collapsed Khabib, I lost it. True gentlemen. Every one should have a father like Khabib’s, the world would be such a much better place. Ultimate respect.

I lost my dad at 19 years old, and there's nothing harder then waking up and realizing you can't call his phone and hear his voice. I can't imagine having to carry on fighting without him in my corner..

That was fucking unbelievably amazing dude. Fucking incredible documentary, story telling skills, paying attention to detail, the music, all of it. Shit made me fucking cry at the end when he fell to the mat after his last fight and you showed the flashbacks of him and his father. Touche my man, To fucking Che.

My favourite part of the Documentary is when Justin comes to Khabib in the middle of the mat after just squeezing the lifeblood out of him, because he knew Khabib was completely broken due to the loss of his Father no one was stopping him that night, That shows what kind of a man not fighter Justin is, to me yhat is 1 of the greatest moments in the U.F.C history!, brought me to tears

The way his father smiled in his eyes when his son won the belt made me shiver

His father was a special person & may he rest in peace

This was one hell of documentary.

Bro the DC to Rogan edit when the brawl breaks out was gold... well done.

This documentary was so beautiful that it made me call up my dad and ask him how he was doing, something I never normally do, but hopefully something I start doing more in the future. Thank you for this incredible content and I hope you keep making these amazing videos.

My dad passed in 1996 when I was 18 yrs old. It still hurts and I miss him something awful.

Khabib nurmagomedov makes me believe , not all celebrities are corrupted , if it's not because of abdulmanap nurmagomedov I don't think that we will have celebrity like khabib's today , the honorable man with Dicipline and integrity and a man with principle and he will not change for no one ... Khabib beating Conor after all of his shit was like good conquering evil. He is an inspiration, and I love how he didn't do this for money. He did it for himself, his Lord, and mostly trying to make his father proud. If I could give Khabib advice, I think he should be the father-figure or even father for everyone else just like his father was for him. That person who is always with you through thick and thin, supporting you, and making you stronger. Everyone needs those kinds of people in their lives. Thank you for this documentary.

Great video, Patric - I love how you caught the best moments in the sacred father & son bond. It meant a lot to me as I lost my father when I was five years old and now trying to catch up raising my seven-year-old son. Respect to Habib, and may god bless the soul of his father.

Stunning doc. Had always been a little concerned about 'trash talking' within UFC; this doc. confirmed my opinion. Used to admire other fighters until they went down the Trash Talking route; impressed that, with the one exception of going over the cage, AFTER submitting Connor, Khabib always appeared respectful, as should IMHO, always be the case within UFC!! No need for insulting behaviours, or attempts at violence outside the Octagon. Good on Khabib for returning after his dad's passing, winning again, then retiring. I wish him all the success in whatever he chooses as his course, going forward...

Not only is this some of the highest level documentary material I’ve ever seen, but the sequence that starts at 27:00 is absolutely bananas and hit every entertainable part of my brain that there is. This is next level stuff man, I love it.

As a young man with no father and who's been through some shit. Please love and cherish what you have. Especially dope dads like this who literally push you to be everything you can be. Amazing to see what can be when you put a little hope in the right place

I can't even imagine the weight of that pride on not just his fathers heart, but both of them! It's an amazing story of the bond they shared over this sport.

We live in a new age, where the relationship between Khabib and his father is often frowned upon. This is a great example of deep rooted love and respect. I commend Khabib and his team for their fierce and determination to be champions. True Warriors, Islam your time is coming next!

What a great, insightful discovery of a true champion and the tragic loss of his Dad. I'm from Ireland and stopped liking McGregor a long time ago.
