He got no type of head movement for Izzy , Izzy is lanky and can hit you from different angles , needs to move head more for Izzy fight and change levels and feint

Also Reyes offers no stance changes to deal with leg kicks. Reyes has poor angular movement to deal with body kicks as well. Izzy will exit out of that range no problem. On top of that, Izzy actually takes advantage of openings to counter. Jan opens up his head and body to attack when he throws those kicks of his. Izzy will counter with a hook and knock him out for exposing himself, especially because Jan's combinations are so predictable. Punches switch back and forth between each arm and then ends with a body or head kick at the end. Izzy will notice these patterns and obliterate Jan for it. Unless Jan cathes Izzy early and by surprise, I predict a 3rd round ko by Izzy. Lay up fight for him.

@Smarty Pants If you're not confident Izzy will win it's because you don't understand his incredibly complex striking style. I have been doing striking training for over 10 years and let me tell you, Izzy is special. He's perhaps the best striker I've ever seen. His style is so complex, elegant, and intelligently composed that Jan really has almost no shot barring his power. Jan is too simplistic and easy to read for Izzy not to body him. Unless Jan catches him early Izzy will have no problem knocking him out.

@Smarty Pants Izzy 6’4” so he has 2 inch height advantage. Not dramatic, but still a difference. Jan proved that he won’t bite feints as easy so it will be interesting to watch them go at it. Unfortunately for Jan, his style is exactly what Izzy is always prepared for. Always looking for the precise counter attacks against brawlers that push forward.

@Smarty Pants I was not aware that he is that much shorter than his listed height. Good call. By that same argument, then I think the other fighters mentioned are likely smaller than their listed heights. Izzy definitely had a significant height advantage over costa when seeing their weigh in. During the fight, it was more even due to costa having a more upright stance and Izzy stretching his legs out. Regardless, I am excited af for this card. May the best man win! EDIT: just saw that you said most UFC fighters have their accurate height listed.

I've always been a big believer in Jan. He suffered a few losses but he learned from them. He's really worked on his takedown defense and his kicks remind me of Cro-Cop. I hope Jan can take The Style Bender down because I find his fights to be a tad boring.

I was pulling for Dom there. He just got too impatient and I don't think he has the chin nor the will to bang it out

Blachowich, commentator said that some guys are just built different/made different. In my early 20s I worked construction with a man in his early 30s (my boss). My boss was one of those men that are "just built different". 200 # boss man pick up the end of a 400 # carpet roll no problem, then tells you, o.k. pick up your end now and throw it up on your shoulder, ??. tough work. 200# boss man bench pressing 350 natural and jumps from roof top of house to roof top of garage 3.5 feet rooftop to rooftop with a bundle of shingles on his shoulder, over and over again. Serious question. Who won the Jones/Reyes fight? I have nothing but respect for what Jones has accomplished inside the cage (outside the cage is a different story). Most well-rounded fighter I’ve ever seen. But I think Reyes won 3 rounds in their fight

@@jakedow4641 if it's not a title fight, then it's Dom. But you can't win a "close fight" against the champ. If you're gonna win, you have to win convincingly. I've seen a lot of fight where it's so close, and they always give it to the champ. You can't say you're the new champ if you won with a doubt.

As soon as Anik said Reyes' brothers were in his corner I thought not a good sign.

I kinda like it, you can really hear every shot land. And I like being able to hear the corner and their reactions. Also just feels more intimate, in a violent way. Feels less like prize fighting, and more like two skilled men trying to take each others head off just for the sake of who's better, instead of for money. Although they still are fighting for money lol

No way he was scared. Dude arguably beat someone considered the all time goat. I think it's the opposite, he was overconfident. Dom prolly went it with the game plan of picking him apart from a distance and avoiding power punches. Unfortunately for him, Jan was able to land some powerful kicks from a distance and get in and land some monstrous punches. I think it's like GSP vs Serra 1, the favorite went in over confinement, care free expecting to just walk through their opponent and didnt have a game plan when they were met with resistance. He was prolly scared though after Jan almost took the mans whole nose lol

Goat C. ...what? He wasn’t scared because he arguably beat Jon Jones? Nice MMA math, buddy. Jon Jones has nowhere near the punching power of Jan. Reyes was definitely scared of Jan’s punching power. One good punch can end the entire fight. Styles make fights. Just because Reyes beat Jones doesn’t mean that he should be able to beat Jan.

Who want's to be in the same place as DC was, being booed as the empty champion? I 100% believe Dom only said that about Jan, because he believed he was gonna walk through him and wanted to be known as the legitimate LHW king.

I love that Reyes lost, reminded me of Hendricks crying he got robbed against GSP and then got smoked for the next 5 years. Jons is the best fighter in mma history, only person who can compete with his number 1 spot is Fedor, they fought the best of the best for a decade.

@@bigriz8809 1 Jones, 2 Fedor, 3 GSP, 4 Nunes, i think in a couple years Adesanya well be in there cause he's going after the toughest guys and is he keeps smoking them. But i don't just look at win lose records, i look at the caliber of competition they faced, no one can touch Jones and Fedor, i think the middle weight division was weak in Silva run. Nunes beat the 2 best woman fighters ever up to that time in 1 rd and every other lady who held the title, that's insane

@@qaz-fi1id GSP got finished in his PRIME by a 10-1 underdog. Mighty Mouse & Khabib > GSP. More finishes over better fighters in a more stacked division & never lost. GSP ducked Silva, Woodley, and Usman to fight literary one eyed Bisping

Hear scouting for the fight against Izzy.......Izzy will take care of business as usual, he’s too smart. His counter striking will get the job done.
