He got no type of head movement for Izzy , Izzy is lanky and can hit you from different angles , needs to move head more for Izzy fight and change levels and feint
Also Reyes offers no stance changes to deal with leg kicks. Reyes has poor angular movement to deal with body kicks as well. Izzy will exit out of that range no problem. On top of that, Izzy actually takes advantage of openings to counter. Jan opens up his head and body to attack when he throws those kicks of his. Izzy will counter with a hook and knock him out for exposing himself, especially because Jan's combinations are so predictable. Punches switch back and forth between each arm and then ends with a body or head kick at the end. Izzy will notice these patterns and obliterate Jan for it. Unless Jan cathes Izzy early and by surprise, I predict a 3rd round ko by Izzy. Lay up fight for him.
@Smarty Pants If you're not confident Izzy will win it's because you don't understand his incredibly complex striking style. I have been doing striking training for over 10 years and let me tell you, Izzy is special. He's perhaps the best striker I've ever seen. His style is so complex, elegant, and intelligently composed that Jan really has almost no shot barring his power. Jan is too simplistic and easy to read for Izzy not to body him. Unless Jan catches him early Izzy will have no problem knocking him out.
@Smarty Pants Izzy 6’4” so he has 2 inch height advantage. Not dramatic, but still a difference. Jan proved that he won’t bite feints as easy so it will be interesting to watch them go at it. Unfortunately for Jan, his style is exactly what Izzy is always prepared for. Always looking for the precise counter attacks against brawlers that push forward.
@Smarty Pants I was not aware that he is that much shorter than his listed height. Good call. By that same argument, then I think the other fighters mentioned are likely smaller than their listed heights. Izzy definitely had a significant height advantage over costa when seeing their weigh in. During the fight, it was more even due to costa having a more upright stance and Izzy stretching his legs out. Regardless, I am excited af for this card. May the best man win! EDIT: just saw that you said most UFC fighters have their accurate height listed.
Both Jan and Adesanya are counter punchers....so we might be in for a boring fight. Similar to Romero Adesanya.

Serious question. Who won the Jones/Reyes fight? I have nothing but respect for what Jones has accomplished inside the cage (outside the cage is a different story). Most well-rounded fighter I’ve ever seen. But I think Reyes won 3 rounds in their fight

@@jakedow4641 if it's not a title fight, then it's Dom. But you can't win a "close fight" against the champ. If you're gonna win, you have to win convincingly. I've seen a lot of fight where it's so close, and they always give it to the champ. You can't say you're the new champ if you won with a doubt.

I've always been a big believer in Jan. He suffered a few losses but he learned from them. He's really worked on his takedown defense and his kicks remind me of Cro-Cop. I hope Jan can take The Style Bender down because I find his fights to be a tad boring.

No way he was scared. Dude arguably beat someone considered the all time goat. I think it's the opposite, he was overconfident. Dom prolly went it with the game plan of picking him apart from a distance and avoiding power punches. Unfortunately for him, Jan was able to land some powerful kicks from a distance and get in and land some monstrous punches. I think it's like GSP vs Serra 1, the favorite went in over confinement, care free expecting to just walk through their opponent and didnt have a game plan when they were met with resistance. He was prolly scared though after Jan almost took the mans whole nose lol

I kinda like it, you can really hear every shot land. And I like being able to hear the corner and their reactions. Also just feels more intimate, in a violent way. Feels less like prize fighting, and more like two skilled men trying to take each others head off just for the sake of who's better, instead of for money. Although they still are fighting for money lol
