I noticed with Geno that he is very reluctant to give his players a compliment but when he does he makes sure he adds in a dig as well. He's a great coach though.....THE BEST!!!

When emotion forced Paige to drop her head I liked the way Coach carefully studied her to see if he should step in with assist.

watching you all grow is why I watch - it’s like being a surrogate uncle in a great family - thanks for all you are and all you become in front of or eyes

I feel this is the 'GOLD" standard for post-game press conferences (i.e., NCAAWBB). It was full of grace, authenticity and wisdom. I especially was moved by Paige's 'T (for tear) shirt'. Warren Doyle (UConn 1971-81 - Organizer of the 109-day, 2,100-mile UCONN Appalachian Trail -Circle Expeditions (9175; 1980) that had an unheard of 100% completion rate - then and now).

I knew Ice had it in her. She will be a great asset in the next several seasons.

Let’s take it one by one. She’s grown up a lot but we haven’t seen her against any of the top front court players yet. But if Aliyah can get some minutes by the second week, the pair of them might make a game against SC look a lot different. Our biggest problems now are foul trouble. With only Qadence (who can’t yet play as a teammate well and whose defense is weak) and Ines as the only backups, a few bad fouls or foul calls could kill us.

I’d love to know what Nika was pointing out to Paige (“yo”) on that paper. Whatever it was- Paige’s reaction: 🤣 Every day I wish Nika would change her mind and come back next season. I bet I’m not alone.

Uconn could beat an all star team from the rest of the Big East which is ranked just above the Ivy League!!
