Uconn's layups were getting swatted in the first half, but they stuck with the game plan, kept attacking, and, in the second half, they were sinking their layups, as Edy was visibly gassed in the second half for having to absolutely carry the rest of the team.

As I lifelong Connecticut resident there have been many teams over the past 20 years I've been immensely proud of. But achieving back to back championships for the first time since Florida did it almost 20 years ago, and in the domineering fashion upon which they instilled their will upon even great teams, in both this year's and last year's tournaments has left me absolutely speechless. I have never been more proud of my Huskies as I am right now. Dan Hurley is just an amazing coach no if ands or buts about it. He really knows how to recognize each players strengths and apply it on the court in a way that encourages complete domination over their opponents. When Calhoun first left, I had high hopes for Kevin Ollie. I mean...The man did deliver us another championship of its own, but honestly...That team was put together by Calhoun prior to his retirement. The combination of Ollie faltering, and our highly esteemed basketball program rapidly losing its luster being mired in The American, I cannot put into words how overjoyed I was when the athletic board finally came to their senses and realized they'll never be an elite football program, and instead, restore their basketball back to its former glory. They rejoined the Big East and within a few short years, here we are. Congratulations UConn. I am so proud to be a Huskies fan!!

I began investing in stocks and Def earlier this year, and it is the best choice I've ever made. My portfolio is rounding up to almost a million and I have realized that when a stock makes it to the news, chances are you're quite late to the party, the idea is to get in early on blue chips before it becomes public. There are lots of life changing opportunities in the market, and maximize it.

UCONN has talent but where they excel is between their ears. As far as basketball IQ they were head and shoulders above everybody else. Long time UConn fan here - I've intently watched all seasons of UConn basketball since the early Calhoun era, and it's been a magical ride the last 35+ years. There have been some great teams and some terrific players over the years, far too many to name here (Ray Allen was my favorite, with his silky smooth shooting - UConn's only Hall of Famer, I believe.) The fact that UConn is a basketball school, men's and women's, isn't a diss to other sports at all but rather this is all part of the university's identity. What UConn has is unique, it's created a basketball heritage only a handful of other schools make a reasonable claim to. Of all the great UConn championship teams, this was the best of all of them, in my humble opinion. All year, they had the fundamentals down and they played as a team. Sure, they tripped up at Kansas, Seton Hall and Creighton, all tough road games, but they brought home the goods when it mattered. Undefeated at home, a run through the BE tournament, and then dominating the NCAA tournament - this was special! That 30-0 run in the Elite Eight was simply unbelievable! Alabama and Purdue were worthy opponents in the F4, and goodness knows Edey is an unstoppable force who creates all kinds of matchup problems in the middle, but UConn had the talent and the perfect game plan for the Boilermakers. It wasn't easy but they made it look that way at times. An historic run by the Huskies, very proud of what they have accomplished and for putting little old Storrs, Connecticut permanently on the basketball map. (I didn't even mention the women's team, which has been dominant over the past 30 years too!)

I very rarely ever say this about a player but I don’t like Edey’s style of play. I’ve never seen a guy play so physical and get next to no fouls called. All about the media hype and money instead of the players these days. It takes a team to win a championship, but more so than not these days all they talk about during the broadcasts are the superstars. Anyone with me lol? Congrats UCONN hopefully the Wolfpack gets a chance to see you in the next round! 🐺 💪

That Uconn defense is insane. I don't know how they managed to double team edey AND cover every purdue player from 3pt range, but literally every shot was contested and they were all over them. 6 titles in 25 years. I think Uconn is THE college basketball team in history now.

Thank you, UCONN, for beating Purdue. I got my wish from the women's title game and the men's title game. I didn't want Iowa or Purdue to win even though usually I'm a huge Big 10 fan, but I'm so tired of hearing about Eady and Clark, plus I'm a Hoosiers fan even though they've been terrible for awhile. I said all along that with Iowa and Purdue being too focused as a one player team, that if they came up against a total team, that would get them beat, and that's what happened. South Carolina was too stacked with players against Iowa on Sunday, and UCONN was also against Purdue. Eady had 37 of the 60 points, I don't care how good you are. You can't beat a team all by yourself, and UCONN had 4 players who scored 10 or more points. A complete team won both the ladies' and men's titles. I thought Purdue was in trouble when they struggled against North Carolina State on Saturday.
