I'm almost 70. when I was in my 50's, I walked into a gym in shorts and saw myself in the mirror. My first thought: "OMG my legs are soooooo big!" My second thought? "yeah, look at those tree trunks! they are strong as hell and have carried you through hell and back. They bike, swim, hike, and walk miles and miles. Thank those legs!" I'm so gratified to see this young woman get there way way way before me in acceptance of strength over stereotype.

Once they said “ there might be an age limit” I immediately thought of Oksana Chusovitina lol

I am going to miss both Miss Val and Katelyn at Ucla. Two very remarkable women. I have had colitis for over 20 years now and when I get serious episodes of it I lose weight super fast. I have gotten the same comments from people that Katelyn describes. I was a dancer for years and had anorexia bad. People even told me that I looked the best ever during my anorexia...it became crucial for me to continue to starve because that was leading to people approving of me. I ended up deathly ill at 25, and horribly depressed. I am 43 now and the colitis rears it's ugly head alot, but I am usually content in life now. Katelyn is so amazing and I am so happy for and proud of her. She is so blessed to have found Miss Val.

I love Ohashi and her performance, which comes also as a result of your invaluable coaching, Miss Val ! I noticed your cheering right away from her first video I watched and I wss wondering who that lady was, so eager and cheering her on. I found out that after your coaching, so many things have changed for the better for Kaitlyn and I am glad she has you. Thank you for such a wonderful philosophy into your coaching and letting these girls light up for the world.. first of all it's their world that lights up, then they share their joy with us earthlings. I also wish that there would be someone like you, Miss Val to cheer me on on my path.. I had before, but now I am bruised and lagged behind

Yeah you know I really don't understand this videos. I just don't get it! What was it that they said was wrong with this girl's body I don't understand that I mean is there something I'm missing it's just something I'm not looking at. I used to follow her on Instagram and I asked the same thing and I got no response I'm kind of thinking they got upset. But who was singing this girl was fat if anything she needed to gain weight all of them do. I mean is it just me that thinks this girl's one of the hottest gymnast in the entire world specifically because of how aesthetically beautiful she is or am I fucking missing something. So you're telling me if I tell people that I know to start telling me I look like Brad Pitt I'm actually going to look like Brad Pitt. That'll be fucking amazing. But I know it's not going to happen just like I know when this girl looks at himself in the mirror she has to see nothing but beautiful. So I really don't get that. I don't know how someone could tell such an attractive looking person that there are unattractive and it actually affects them. And that situation you have to look more other people that are around you that don't defend you and tell you that the other people are just envious or their eyesight kind of fucking wack. But yeah I'm kind of tired of listening to it. I'm buying that magazine specifically because she's on it. Why because I think she's absolutely gorgeous.
