    It depends on the type of orders you get if you getting a 5 dollar order and driving 10 miles than you are doing it for free. I only take 5 dollar orders if they are 1 mile or less away if not I decline. Also I don’t drive more then 10 miles away unless is a 25 dollar plus order.

    When I drove for Walmart Spark, when it was paying right, my gas was running about 12% of gross take. When I drove for Door Dash my gas ran about 18-20% That's in a 4 cyl Nissan Vista. In all the apps now none of these numbers make sense anymore. It's just way off to think you are actually making any money.

    I make $80-100 a day here in Los Angeles driving for UE and I did 1600 deliveries for DD but they dropped me due to not accepting really far orders for little pay. So far UE seems to be an upscale version of DD! I treat it like a REAL JOB! I print out stickers that say, "thank you for allowing me to deliver for you and if you are happy with my service, please consider giving me five stars." I put the sticker on ALL orders I deliver! I also message everyone the minute I pick up their orders and after letting them know I delivered it and where along with a photo. I got a $35 tip for doing so!

    Dear people who dispute deliveries when Dashers absolutely handed order to you. I reserve the right to film each and every exchange either at door or person to person. Smart dashers wear body cameras to video record all exchanges with the restaurant and with customers for purposes of quality control and contract disputes.✌️

    When I did Uber Eats here in Canada, I always ensured I had the proper tools: Insulated bags, Large Pizza bag that could accommodate 3 large pizzas; drink caddy, cooler. My pizzas always arrived hot and my ice cream and cold drinks etc, always remained cold. In the limited comment section, I always included, Thank you and enjoy it! I only did 1076 trips, but I used to make good tips. I never worked more than 6 hours and always made at least $100. Problem is my car uses too much gas.

    The reason that kids at taco bell are making more than you is supply and demand. Gig work is over saturated cause everyone and their grandmother is doing it to escape working the w2 jobs. The fast food chains and other "undesirable jobs" had to start to incentivize people to come back. I am glad gig work came out cause it forced those companies to actually start valuing their employees. The problem is if the gig work collapses and goes away those same companies will start to treat those employees as dime a dozen again. You are going to have to take your licks and take some sort of w2 again and just do gig work on the side. The gig apps will continue to give fecal orders out as long as there are tons of thirsty drivers who will take that garbage. People really really need to start to do the math. They see WOW I mad 22.00 an hour doing deliveries but they dont realize a third of it easily goes to expenses if not more.

    Uber eats is not paying like they did 2 years ago. I usually drive between 4pm and 9 pm. You have to only take orders 8.00 and above. Folks are not tipping like they used to. You can't take orders when the milage exceeds more than pay. You have to make it worth your time, and stay in the same area.I also don't do add ons, some of it is a waste of time, and only do w fer orders if each order is at least 10.00 or more.

  • @polishpimp4233
    @polishpimp423311 ай бұрын

    add ons are often no tip orders or generally garbage orders. I did get an add on recently that was an order I had rejected a few minutes before. I actually took it the second time cause it was from the same restaurant that I ended up getting a better order from and it happened to be a mile from the better order. Together they made sense but it didn't make sense as an only order originally. As for 1.75 a mile GOOD LUCK getting that in the Tampa Bay area. Unless you want to do 1 order an hour. The amount of Cherry picking involved will involve your acceptance rate in the teens and although I do agree a reasonable minimum per mile is necessary you also do have the issue of time. I would gladly do ride share also but lyft and uber now during the summer are so brutally oversaturated you are lucky to get 1.00 per loaded mile. I am curious to see what happens from say mid october to april during Florida's busy season.

    @@JayZ-2369 Uber is far better than DD. I'm on both. With Uber you can "roam" which is far better for you than having to "return to your zone". You know that's how DD works right? Let's say you take an order and it's ten miles outside your zone. It's paying you 16 dollars so you take it. Well you don't drive ten miles for 16 dollars with DD. You end up driving 20 miles! Because you have to drive to drop it off, then you gotta drive back to your ZONE which is guess what, ten miles the other direction. On UberEats you don't have to do that. Just set where you are till you get another order. That way your trying to at least make a dollar a mile. Other than that your getting screwed. We all have found this out in the end. Doing DD/LYFT/UBER is not really a good side hustle. The reason is because you have to make so much just to keep up with gas and up keep on car. What if your in a wreck? Insurance/wheels...an yadz yada yada

Question for you my DoorDash account was deactivated a few months ago so i have just been hitting Uber eats which I like. I miss dual apping though especially in my market that’s when I made my most money. The deactivation I believe was for my completion rate fell for only a few weeks to 78%.. was mid to high 90s for the remainder life of my account. Complete around 950 deliveries prior to deactivation. Do you know a work around or a way to get a new account? When I cancelled those orders is prior to even picking up their food so I don’t see the big deal in that and the reason was because simultaneously dusk apping I received a better order on Uber eats.

Also Amazon prime members tend to have a little bit more disposable income so they tip better which I'm finding they don't do on DD.

    I started delivering for Uber Eats last September. I did pretty well during the fall, winter and spring, in large part due to the "quests" bonus pay. I typically averaged $2.50 to $3/mile with a steady stream of offers. But during the summer, the quests disappeared, and it seems biz is much slower. Is this just a summer thing? Or maybe because there are more drivers now? Should the quests come back? Any insights from people who have delivered more than a year would be appreciated.

    I drove full time from 20-21 and only on weekends in 22-23. Last summer I did fairly well but this past Saturday it took me 10 hours to get to $150. That was unheard of even last year. I think it’s a combination of the poor economy, customers having prior bad experiences with the delivery service, and too many drivers. It’s an ok thing to do for extra money one day a week but I would never consider doing it full time again.
