Lyrics:
The sea wants to kiss the golden shore.
The sunlight warms your skin.
All the beauty that's been lost before, wants to find us again.
I can't fight you anymore; it's you I'm fighting for.
The sea throws rocks together but time, leaves us polished stones.
We can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Birds fly high in the summer sky and rest on the breeze.
The same wind will take care of you and I, we'll build our house in the trees.
Your heart is on my sleeve, did you put it there with a magic marker.
For years I would believe, that the world, couldn't wash it away
Cause we can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
We can't fall any further if, we can't feel ordinary love.
And we cannot reach any higher, if we can't deal with ordinary love.
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?
Are we tough enough, for ordinary love?

This was a song we've chosen to dance to with my wife on the wedding day. Now I am a father of a 4Y old girl and cannot agree more with the message. This song remains absolutely universal. Thank you U2 for giving this anthem to everyone.

they're not more powerful than Jesus, who is God. U2 outwore their time a long time ago. Like a-ha, Norway's awesome pop/rock band, who knew when to stop, U2 has swelled heads and think they have to keep making so called music when really all it is is achtung baby, pop, all you can't leave behind, atomic bomb, etc rehashed over and over and over again- U2's long since gone as far as they could, but instead of bowing out gracefully like a-ha, bono and all his political shit-basically HE IS the band.............they want to be assholes, and 'TRY' and make music when there is none for them to make. its really so sad, pitiful, disgusting, they are -they shouldn't even be a 'they' they thoroughly disgust me to the utmost, bono and his ego save the world bullshit especially, bono is a fuckin prick-cant stand him, if I saw him in person id wanna punch his face repeatedly, but that's not something a born again believer in Jesus as myself does, or I should say, should do. I don't even recognize them as a 'band' anymore, just four assholes trying to 'push the envelope' U2 stopped after rattle and hum.........I used to be a huge U2 fan since 1983 onward, but watched them disintegrate over the years and lie to their true fans and the public-and themselves by doing what they said they'd never do-compromise. U2 is washed up, washed out, sold out-sell outs-not even the same 'band' people anymore-in a bad way. I used to think watching all those interviews with that asshole bono practically self proclaiming himself as Mr U2, the voice of U2, I used to think that's just the way he was, but since I realized that no, this guy has ALWAYS been a fuckin asshole, probably in his childhood years too, probably a bully, no tellin what kinda shit he gave other kids and people when he was younger, but he must've been a major prick...........I'm embarrassed of U2, especially bono, and even more disgusted by their fake generic fan base who jumped on their bandwagon, and act like they know something about them. they know jack shit. I was there. Im 47, I grew up with this band, lived and breathed them for years, through school - all of it. U2 went from incredible to a shithole, and now all their wannabe little shits fans think they're the best thing since sliced bread. U2 is a joke, there is no more U2, they're has beens...........im sick of talking about them or thinking of them...........Only Jesus can save them..............
@JohnDoe-hf6tk
10 жыл бұрын
throwing money at problems solves nothing. you can work til your hands bleed-means nothing. Only if God saves someone into Jesus by becoming born again is worth anything. Spiritual change in the heart is what's needed alone, COUPLED with medical attention, food, water, clothing shelter etc. but doing these things alone without sharing Jesus-preaching the gospel, is futile. All humanitarians do is give a man a fish-feeds him for a day-those who give them Jesus feed them for eternity and Jesus teaches them-takes it from there.
Over 10 years later and this song is still beyond phenomenal and hits me in the feels. It seriously deserves so much more recognition, without a doubt.
I am crying a little bit. Its the time and the music too.
"Ordinary Love" The sea wants to kiss the golden shore The sunlight warms your skin All the beauty that's been lost before Wants to find us again I can't fight you anymore It's you I'm fighting for The sea throws rocks together But time leaves us polished stones We can't fall any further If we can't feel ordinary love And we cannot reach any higher If we can't deal with ordinary love Birds fly high in the summer sky And rest on the breeze The same wind will take care of you and I We'll build our house in the trees Your heart is on my sleeve Did you put it there with a magic marker? For years I would believe That the world couldn't wash it away 'Cause we can't fall any further If we can't feel ordinary love And we cannot reach any higher If we can't deal with ordinary love Are we tough enough For ordinary love We can't fall any further If we can't feel ordinary love And we cannot reach any higher If we can't deal with ordinary love We can't fall any further If we can't feel ordinary love And we cannot reach any higher If we can't deal with ordinary love

We can't fall any further if We can't feel ordinary love And we can't reach any higher, If we can't deal with ordinary love We can't fall any further, if We can't feel ordinary love And we can't reach any higher, If we can't deal with ordinary love

Wonderful song, it really makes me dream an epic story in a wonderful world like the one that Mandela wrote in human history
I was born in 1747, but I don't listen to that mainstream Bach shit, this is real music

This is great!! I spent so much time as a little kid listening to U2 and to see this is amazing! They have been together for so long now, so to see that they are still going just makes me *SO* happy! The song itself is also very jaw-dropping, and I do hope their new album is this good!
2022. Nelson Mandela was still a visionary in a time of darkness. This song is still great
When will this version be back on streaming services? The Extraordinary version just doesn’t cut it for me lol

Agreed. Never even heard of the song or movie until that night. IMO that acoustic version is way better and more emotional than the one here.
Simple, clear, truthful, beautiful... When I now listen to this song, I really want to believe, that the ORDINARY LOVE, which they feel to their country, their home, their families, will help the Ukrainian people to stay strong and win after all. 💛💙🙏

Ffs 🤦🏾♂️ The susceptibility of people to propaganda to the point where they have to shove it down everyone’s throat at every opportunity in every aspect of life should be an IQ test. How on earth anyone is saying these things is just astonishing considering you have no blinkin clue what’s actually happening. But you don’t care. Just onto the next thing that we’re going to be obsessed and propagandized with. Ridiculous.
This is the song I want people to hear on my funeral. My family loves U2 and for all of us it is a different song with different reasons. I can't describe what this song means to me. It's such a shame that this version is not available on Spotify.

***** what you said is not a free will, it is like a robot commanding his preset functions. Free will is something you want to do either do good things or bad things but "no body is perfect"! all people can make a mistake because devil is just around even though you choose to do all good things to go to heaven and that's why God is forgiving God, just ask for forgiveness and never do it again.

John Doe There are many religions one can belive in, but assuming you are catholic I'll just say that you just wrote a comment that implies that you are "superior" from the rest of the people. That way of thinking is against your religion. I guess you have soms self-judgement to make, so I suggest you stop judging other people and look at yourself. As for these people, yo udon't know what they might know or what they do depending to their religion, and a youtube comment can't prove anything.

first im not a christian, second 'christianity' is not a religion, it's Jesus. It's a 'relationship' with God the Father, not a 'religion' which are dead cold satanic. Jesus is as far from religion as east is from the west.
