The way that they decided to present this as though it was simply a light-hearted, feel good story and had to keep on doing the jovial delivery even when presented with some children who'd obviously done thier best in a horrific situation and *watched a man die*, is er... an interesting thing to watch

Really couldn't more proud of these lads. Martin and Brian demonstrated cool heads under very difficult circustances. And the way in which they organised the passengers, helped those in greatest need first, and even had the foresight and aptitude to press the door release at precisely the right time really goes to show they truly are salt pf the earth lads. Not to mention the clarity of thought they possessed in such a "hot mess" situation. The fact the bus started rolling backwards just as everyone thought the danger had ended, must have put severe strain on the nerves and cool thinking that these great lads demonstrated - yet they once again sprung into action. Even attempting to slow the rolling bus using brute strength alone. Cracking job lads. Your parents must be so proud. Definitely need an award.

Ok let's look at the story here. These boys witnessed a man die and stepped into action to help out. In such a situation, your emotional response is being repressed to perform critical functions. After traumatic events, people often find they have an automatic response to shut down and dissociate as a means to stay safe at a perceived threat. So now these boys are in a strange situation, with cameras, a nervous situation with people talking about a serious incident in a cavalier way. A very surreal situation. My guess would be he's experiencing an adrenaline rush from the situation and zoning out because it's just too much to handle. From the description of what they did it is clear he's able to make astute decisions under pressure. It's funny how people with no life experience can look at this and laugh and make fun, but it just shows that you've not been through difficult situations, or have very low empathy levels.

That’s because he doesn’t say it. The meme comes from a snapshot of this video, solely because his face happens to match the tone of U WOT M8 on that image (& he’s the typical sort of british ginger teen that would say something like that)

I'm American, and I got that too. And even if he did, it wasn't even memeable. It was so silent I missed it, and he clearly said "you want...". Why did this lameness get so much hype in the title? I must be missing context or something, because I don't get it. It's just a sad, but heroic story from what I can see.

It's funny to think when you hear the first guy speak that he's going to turn out to be the smart one

Imagine the family of the bus driver having to watch the news turn his death into a feel good story.
