It's interesting to hear someone in M41 talk about Lorgar's melody in the warp. IIRC, he actually scared Magnus a little by how much he was influencing the warp during Calth/Betrayer, how he was deliberately altering it by pure intuition, without the deep/formal knowledge that Magnus had.

I think the first half was about people who became guardsman and left their world to escape consequences of a crime they did. The second half was about people who bear the blame for said crimes, were sent as penitent guardsman, got to join the word bearer (Somehow I guess they can make their own space marines) and they returned to the same world that accused them of a crime they never did with "The truth".

I think it's about the idea how Tzeench sees all possible fates, in all sections the man is named Tylos, and he could become a hero, a servitor, a penal unit, or a Word Bearer. Maybe even he sees all those possible timelines himself with Tzeench's blessing.

For anyone wondering Tzeentch is the God of Change. This is 3 stories culminating in the same fate for Tylus. Different Paths leading to the same outcome. Story 1 he is a Regular Guardsman come back a hero but damaged beyond repair by the things he's seen. Story 2 he is caught by the Arbiter as a Child stealing and eventually turned into a Servitor. Returned for some Menial task Story 3 he is changed by an event that leads him down the Path of the Word Bearers. Returned to conquer the world As his Brother says "You cant Escape your Fate". We are all changed by decisions and moments we don't understand at the time. Tzeentch See's All.

Tzeentch cannot see the future of someone only influence it to its heart's content to turn into his desired one. Hence 'The Architect of Faith' we know fate can be changed in 40k. Its upto pwople to break from Tzeentch's desires to make their own. Poor man though. He got FUCKED over by the chaos god HARD.

All are true. But comes down to what happens after he steals the food. 1.) he escapes then later joins to make sure he isn’t found out and punished. 2.) he is caught and turned into a servitor flat out. 3.) he’s beaten and broken by the law keepers and sent off in a penal battalion to basically die but survived long enough to find the book and becomes a Word Barer.

To be fair the imperial truth is based on the works and words of a traitor and venerates a nonexistent god in the form of a rotting corpse that if alive would cast them into the fire
