Stop calling Tyler a snitch. He held out until he was finally served a subpoena, which meant testify or face charges. Armstrong would have thrown him under the bus if the situation was reversed.

It's rumored that LA made essentially two mistakes. He came back in 2009 and he didn't give Floyd Landis a minor place on his team in 2005 possibly causing FL to seek revenge. Had he stayed in retirement it's likely he'd never have been stripped some people say.

If he had never come back, there would be no reason for anyone to start digging again. The moment I thought something was up was reading that he ran the NYC Marathon in 2:59:36 and was reduced to a mess at the end. For the average person, that is definitely a respectable time, but an elite endurance athlete should easily be able to break 2:30 in the marathon with the most rudimentary of training.

If you've read any books on this and cycle yourself, you'd realise how much pressure you're under. The effort you put into training, the love of the sport, doing something you love. Yes doping is bad but they had a reason. So many other people were doing before lance and Tyler. The stress and training they go through and realise people are doping years before them, they see it has normal. If every single cyclist was doping, which 80% of them were, Tyler and lance would still be top of the pac

Armstrong tried to come clean in a big profound way since he was living so big and profoundly. He still thought he was above everyone here. Thought coming clean on a big stage publicly he still could. not. be. touched. He was wrong. This probably was not THE best way to do this. Because he still was wrestling with the whole truth. His answers here are methodical not necessarily wholesome truthful.

:) It's "motor-man". Floyd Landis first talked about it...EPO became detectabl in 2001, so they could no longer use it. Instead, they would do blood transfusions. But how do you deliver blood bags to the team bus in the middle of the TdF, w/ reporters swarming around? Answer: Lance paid his French gardner to follow the race on a touring motorcycle w/ refridgerated/insulated saddlebags full of blood, and deliver when needed. Tyler also told the story in his EXCELLENT book!

You wouldn't say that it was a level playing field and yet the 7 TDF wins that they took away - they left the titles vacated because they stopped going down the list at some point to try and find a rider who was not doping. No doubt about it what they were doing was against the rules of their sport - and at times he maybe wasn't a really nice dude....but to call him out as the biggest cheat in sports history....that's a joke. I can't take Piers as any kind of serious journalist - so I guess it isn't all that surprising.

By all accounts, the amount of doping Asteriskstrong did and the degree of cover-up involved are unprecedented in any sport. This is someone who tested positive himself multiple times, got retroactive exemptions, and ratted out competitors who he felt were threats, such as Tyler Hamilton in 2004, who beat him in a stage race in the build-up to the 2000 Tour de France despite being very reluctant to take the lead.

Why don't you face reality and deal with those shattered illusions and stop flailing about calling everyone else names and generally acting like five year olds? O right, 'cos that would involve growing up wouldn't it? FYI wide spread drug-taking in sport does not create a level playing field. Physiological differences mean that some athletes get a far greater advantage from drugs than others. Liestrong was a second class rider who, from an accident of biology, got a far greater advantage from EPO and blood doping than his contemporaries and then found himself with the money and power to keep getting away with it. Except in the end he didn't.
