FR, I think both Hueningkai and Taehyun were both being SEVERELY slept on in the beginning, mostly taehyun, since yeonjun was the oldest member and known as the legendary trainee.. soobin was the leader, and beomgyus hair at the time LOL plus he was the center in the beginning.. even Hueningkai was pretty known since hes mixed and his looks really stood out at the time, besides that I think he was slept on. But taehyun was definately the most slept on by FAR He really started to shine during dream chapter: magic and in DC:Eternity his red hair.. HIS RED HAIR OML, taehyun biases definately increased with this album LOL Sorry I always start gushing went it comes to txt aha... 😅🥰

yeah, people think they're overhyped because they're from the same company as bts and while armys may have been drawn to txt for that, the fact that they're from the same company also brings about a lot of comparisons, scrutiny and some hate. i love both groups, they each have their own unique charms.

I totally get your point, rn is kinda like this, but don't project this thought in the future. They have the potential to make name for themselves, the group barely have 1 year old. Groups from big companies always have that stigma in the first two years.

@@marcellaiglesias98 yeah, i didn't mean for it to seem like they'd have that label on them forever, i'm guessing the toxicity of it will pass. it's just that some can't recognize that each group works hard in order to maintain success, regardless of who their seniors are, company or the like. txt has a unique concept going for them, and i do believe in them and their potential.

@@emimoon6067 they have a super unique and interesting concept that will definitely garner them a set fanbase that is separate from their seniors (if they don't have one already). in fact a lot of the armys who showed their interest in txt around the time of their debut have stopped caring about/showing as much interest in them. so that "bts' little brothers" thing they are most known for at the moment will definitely wear off as time passes, because honestly i barely think about the fact that they're under the same label

Fun Fact: TXT is still hiding their Full Potential. All the members haven't revealed their whole skills yet, so please look forward to them in future they're gonna shook the whole industry!! 🔥🔥

Taehyun's idol is actually SHINEE's Jonghyun and Beomgyu's is BTS' V which I find very interesting since I sometimes hear that inspiration in their Vocal technique! Yeonjun is also a big R&B fan

Even if beomgyu is 5th in ranking but he has the best way of controlling his voice he knows which part to read softly and heavily I love how soothing and harsh his voice sounds he plays both, he truly has the most amazing voice ❤

Beomgyu is kinda like V. His voice is so good with deeper tone and songs more like ballad will fix better for beomgyu but he can still practice and get a more incredible voice that he already has. Stan txt, new leaders.

it makes me sad thinking that a lot of people only see them as the superstars BTS younger brother group and that's it. because these boys have so much talent with them, may that be in vocals, raps or dance. they are now attracting more fans of their own, and im happy because they deserve it. imagine all that stress and anxiety coming from debuting as the first bg after bts in bighit, I can't possibly know what they felt, and for all those "armys" or fans that were disappointed, f u because they'll grow and become their own color and star and shine up there and yall will be wishing you liked them earlier. loved your video as always tho!

Yes, I would like that too. I've often felt that Soobin can handle the upper falsetto part, but he is actually more comfortable in the lower range. I think part of it is that they are still being presented as a boy Kpop group. When BigHit decides to have TxT performing to their natural strengths? It will be awesome.

Taehyun reminds me of Kim Jonghyun. His singing, charisma, hell he even looks alike. Truly a gem

This was one of my favorite rankings you've done. Out of a lot of rookies I've seen, they definitely have some of the most potential. It feels like people tend to underestimate their vocals because of their great dances but I'm excited for TXT in the future.

Many people rate them too early. BigHit hides all their talent from us. I'm sure they still have a lot to show. However, people often humiliate them when they rate other groups. Very often they portray them as this less talented group when it is untrue

i’m beomgyu biased but i was always surprised to see people ranking his vocals above yeonjun’s because yeonjun seemed to have a much more versatile voice (at least with what we’ve seen them do). i’m excited for when txt start releasing more songs in a lower register so beomgyu will have his time to shine 🥰🥰

I really hope BIGHIT stops forcing their artists to use notes that arent in their vocal range since it deteriorated jimin’s voice as well

Yeah, they make song in a certain range. Taehyun gets a lot of line bc it fits his vocal range well (and he is really stable ect obv), think that’s why hyuka get also a lot. I hope they make a song with harmonies, imagine all their voices harmonizing 😍 and a slow song that will fit beomgyu and soobin well.

@@GranolaBars11 It's worse with V considering he is a baritone and they had him try to match the other tenors in the group in their natural range. He was easily the most technically sound of them all during their earlier years but he now might be the weakest vocalist in the group due to the effects of him constantly singing out his range.

yeonjun is an ace

Taehyun is really something and he'll be gonna big oneday. he's already good and i can't even imagine how good he will be in the future. He has a voice, skills, vocal range, and most importantly he really tries hard to improve his singing. i like his attitude as a singer!

Summery: 1. Taehyun 2. Hyuening Kai 3. Yeonjun 4. Soobin 5. Beomgyu I do recommend watching the whole thing though, it is very interesting.

I do agree and am fine with Yeonjun being third despite him being my bias, not everything i do is gonna go towards biased. Even if he is my bias, he may have a unique voice, his technique ranks 3rd and vocal is good too and so is rapping, I’d place Kai or Taehyun #1, on the ELLE video interview, the beginning part where Kai sang like an opera shook me, his mouth wasn’t open that wide as most singers would do but he has large vocal range pipes. And same with Taehyun, his voice can go super high but also unique at the same time. Man they’re all rounders istg. I can’t relate

i kinda wanna see the BTS vocal ranking, not so much for the positions cause i think most ppl would agree on more or less the same ranking order, but for the analysis of each person's voice. it's super enjoyable to listen to your analysis :D

Txt vocals are gems. The way they different range of vocals and tone, they blended well. Yeonjun may not be the best but his runs/riffs are to die for❤️

I totally agree with the ranking (I say with like zero vocal training lmao) but taehyun had always seemed liked the unofficial main vocal to me of the group, he's really consistent too! Hyuka, just as you said, is still getting comfortable with his voice considering he's still 17 and probably had some voice changes during puberty. Yeonjun is actually my fav becoz I ADORE his tone! Really excited to see their potential unravel in the future! ALSO HELL YES VIXX, I USED TO BE A HARDCORE STARLIGHT AND IM SO EXCITED!!! You will NOT be disappointed by their capabilities😉💕

exactly my ranking lmao there's not much things to analyze them on, but from what i've heard number 1 seems to have the best support/placement and consistency + control!

Hey, i know this would be alot of work but wouldn't it be cool if you make a video analyzing all the main vocalists(female or male) you've analyzed from the groups and then make a ranking or tier.

What I really appreciate is how much work and research you put into these videos, I must admit I was slightly worried cause they are so young so I didn't know if you'd be able to analyse them fully, but I totally agree with everything you said! TXT might not be the strongest right now, but all their voices have great potential due to their ability or interesting tones! They also use harmonies more which I find very interesting. Did you see Taehyun's cover of Over and Over again? He recorded it a long time ago but it showed how well he portrays emotion!

Oh I was having kind of an upsetting evening but seeing this pop up cheered me up. It's always so interesting, and calming to listen to you talk about their voices! Also yeah, they definitely only gonna get better from this point on but I think they have the potential to be quite an interesting vocal group eventually. They seem to get better every comeback so it's very exciting

Everyone has their own stronger sides and weaker ones. Yeonjun, like the rest of the members, is very talented and can dance, sing, rap. But of all these categories, it's one that knows best, so it's the same for other members. I think Yeonjun stands out most dance

Thank you so much for this ranking! I've been a fan of them from their second album and always wondered where they would rank. Beomgyu I understand cuz his voice is low and honestly they don't give him many opportunities for his voice to shine. I'm kinda surprised that Yeonjun is ahead of Soobin considering the range Soobin could have. Like every time I hear Soobin speak I'm like "How do you hit those notes and your voice is so low??", but i definitely agree that he will have to be re-ranked when he matures his voice. Not to knock Yeonjun ofc, his voice is very consistent and I love that about him. Kai is a monster Makne when it comes to vocals. Considering both he and Taehyun are only 17 and their voices are as powerful as they are... I can't wait for 2-3 years to see the growth. Taehyun (he's my bias so I am biased toward him XD) once he sang 20cm live, I knew that that boy was going to do great things. His voice is just so consistent and he knows exactly how to control it and I love it. Sorry for the long spiel but I've been listening to them so much and all of them are so talented that I always wanted to who from a person who is versed in music to talk about it. I think..... •Beomgyu and Soobin will turn into Rappers in the future comebacks (soobin once said he had training in rapping and some of his classmates said he slays when he raps, beomgyu rapping with deep voice will be LIT). • Yeonjun will be allrounder as rapper + vocalist. •Hueningkai and Taehyun will be vocalists with taehyun as main and huening as lead vocalist. Lets wait for their growth and future comebacks...who knows what they will unfolds as time passes by 🌟

There is no position, please don’t pin positions. They may take turns rapping or signing but they’re all rounders, not just Yeonjun. He is an all rounder and ace of big hit trainee, txt are all rounders as well.

I agree on your analysis, I really love it. BEOMGYU has really low tone but can hit higher notes for him like D4-G4 I guess since it sounds good and stable. SOOBIN's strength is his head voice as it is full and sound good in fifth octave. YEONJUN has an amazing RnB kind of voice and his voice sounds attractive. HUENINGKAI is amazing and he and TAEHYUN mostly sings chorus parts which are high like hitting notes G4 to B4 in mixed voice i guess or in chest voice. HUENINGKAI is still improving and I can hear his voice cracks sometimes since he is still in puberty stage but his voice is really amazing and I look forward to him. TAEHYUN, for me, has stable vocals not just in TXT but in recently debuted groups. He really shines as I can always hear him sing live as well as the members but what makes me feel amazed by him is when he hits higher notes in mixed such as A4, B4 especially his belt in 20cm. I really love his voice but there is still more to work on as well as to the other members. I have high hopes for TXT!

I can honestly say that you’re easily one of the best and most reliable channels when it comes to vocal ranking, especially because your opinions have good reasoning and seem very unbiased. Which is also the reason I wanna ask if you could consider ranking *Loona* ? There’s a lot of debate when it comes to vocal ranking in Loona and it would be good to hear from someone who knows what they’re talking about. I have an idea who will be in the top 2, but with the other members everyone has different rankings and opinions.

Your analysis was really good and insightful as always. Beomgyu's voice is my favorite in the group, unfortunately their songs and Kpop in general doesn't favor baritone vocalist. I agree with him being in the fifth spot though. I agree with all the ranking, except I put Yeonjun second. His agility and his ability to know his voice puts him above Hueninkai for me. Once Kai gets comfortable and improves he may move up for me. Taehyun is definitely strongest technically. Personally Beomgyu and Yeonjun's vocals are my favorite, but I do love all their voices. I really liked your analysis on Soobin and Yeonjun. I didn't really think about their voices in the way you explained.

I think Kai deserves #2, watch the ELLE interview, the beginning part where his voice is high and like opera which is hard to do without opening your mouth widely a little, I could hardly tell if he was singing or not. I thought it was Beomgyu singing and then I closely looked at Kai’s mouth. I TOTALLY AGREE YEONJUN HAS A UNIQUE VOICE, istg 4th gen it boy never disappoints. That’s why he’s the ace of big hit legendary trainees, but whenever I hear him on live such as the GDA 2020 run away live, it seems like his voice is gonna crack or trembles, but he pulls it off nicely in the end. Same with Kai but he has a strong control over his voice even when doing that um, “please be my eternity, please call my name” part of the run away chorus (sorry idk lol). Funk. Yeonjun never disappoints, if I had a voice like his and Kai’s, man I’d be singing everyday. But I do agree that Yeonjun is #2 due to his unique voice but the technique would be a little lower than #2, just not my taste you know? Kai sometimes changes from deep to high so suddenly it makes me think, I agree with you that he’s still young and will develop throughout age. Nowadays, his voice is the most stable along with Taehyun. Both Kai and Taehyun stabilized their voice by running on treadmills if you didn’t know 😂

beomgyu actually isn't as trained as the rest of the members, he was a trainee for only one year before joining the debut line because he was so good. i think that's why his voice isn't properly trained yet but I'm sure he'll get better he has so much potential 🥺

Believe it or not but he was added to the debut team the day he got to seoul. He said he trained for only 8 hours and was added to debut the very same day lmao. He had to take a year off from school though because he obviously had to catch up to the other members

@@bme7995 Beomgyu? Yes he started training in 2017. They went to the US in 2018 to finish their training and they debuted in 2019

Beomgyu: “Everybody’s a good singer, including Beomgyu. To me, he’s a person with the least amount to his voice as of right now.” Soobin: “I think Soobin will definitely be higher, we haven’t seen the best of his voice yet.” Yeonjun: “To me, Yeonjun understands his voice really well, but has kind of less to offer than next two guys coming up as whole package.” Kai: “His voice is exciting as of right now it’s pretty good. There’s things it can work on, but I think it’s got a lot of potential to be very good indeed, I’m very excited about his future.” Taehyun: “If TXT had official positions, Taehyun would for sure be the main vocalist, he’s definitely number one.”

in conclusion, bighit producers should really stop making them sing ridiculously high and actually make music that fits their voices and brings out the best in each member's voice until they get older and more practised and used to singing.

Wow, thank you for taking interest in TXT and making such a detailed video! I have also had a gist of how the ranking would go except for Huening Kai and Taehyun, since I have a soft spot for Kai's voice more. In my opinion, TXT's vocal color is very balanced, as you have Kai and Taehyun who have high voices (sorry for my lack of technical musical term), Soobin and Beomgyu with low, rich vocals and Yeonjun who has a bit of both. It is always so pleasant to hear their vocal styles harmonize together in the cover songs. I believe in the next few years, with the right amount of training, their vocals can shine more both individually and as a group.

Big Hit might not give them fixed positions but we know Taehyun is main vocal 🗣

So glad you did this! Love this group. Yeonjun's voice sounds so unique to me (on par with BTS Jimin). He seems to have it all. Actually, when you answered the question in your q&a about balancing vocals and dancing, this was the group that came to mind. Their choreo is always super intense so their live vocals aren't top-tier but when they are just standing they are really nice to listen to

Honestly, I've seen alot of vocal rankings and this one is my favorite. I love how you explain the pros and cons of their voices and go into detail. And also, can you do another of these in the future when TXT gets better and like tell us how they've improved and another vocal ranking??? Thank you!

For now, I agree with your ranking but I hope in the future Beomgyu especially could improve on his confidence and stage present. Yeonjun and Taehyun definitely has the prettiest voices.

Would you consider doing a vocal ranking for Winner? They aren't very popular internationally and a lot of people don't know just how good all of them are. They all have very distinct voices and tones. And their main vocal, Seungyoon, is extremely skilled. He's also recently made a record for the most idol wins on the King of Masked Singer which is a pretty big deal in Korea! So I really hope you check them out and enjoy their songs :)

I don‘t have a clue when it comes to vocals but it‘s really interesting to listen to your videos. I‘m really glad you ranked TXT‘s vocals since I feel like they are one of the few groups with already so good singers (I mean all of them)☺️

Thank you! I'm surprised to say this but I fully agree with you. The things you said about Soobin are gold. I really wish they would let him sing where he's natural voice is (lol sorry for putting it so unprofessionally) as soon as possible. I love his beautiful falsettos but he has so much more and I wish they would let him really shine. PS. Have you checked out Confession of a Friend cover by TXT? If not, I would really recommend it. Soobin's voice gave me goosebumps ^.^

I totally agree with your ranking but my favorite voice color in txt will forever be Yeonjun

Kai hot my attention since debut because of his vocals, I can't wait for him to show us more and him to become an amazing vocalist in the future Btw all the members are really good to and I'll be happy to see all of them grow as idols

I too do think that Soobin has immense potential to be a great singer, he has a great range. Also for Beomgyu, I hope they make songs that suit him better since he is someone musically very aware & I think he used his parts really well in loser lover. I would also love to hear more of Kai's lower register.
