About a month ago they found some barrels that had been dropped in the ocean between Long Beach and Catalina Island. It's tragic what we humans do to our oceans, our lands and our marine and wildlife. I live in San Pedro, California and as I walk our beaches here I am constantly picking up trash. At times I feel like we humans don't deserve the beauty that surrounds us.

I went out hunting with a falconer from California named Joe who flew golden eagles. His birds had taken down black-tailed dear and coyotes. One of his birds talons punched thru his gauntlet, thru his forearm, and popped out the other side. Lots of blood. Another time he called his eagle to his fist and it missed and hit his thigh. There was blood squirting out, he thought his artery was punctured and was going to die of blood loss. They're really majestic to see fly and hunt tho.

Forrest’s top pick up line: “Hey, wanna swap genetics?” 😂 I’d say Forrest won this one. His picks were unique animals with thoughtful reasoning. I’d pick an Osprey to bring me fish everyday, a wolf for protection and companionship and a beaver to wreck all the non-homeless people’s WiFi just out of spite.

There's a video on youtube by a man who runs a bird of prey sanctuary who JUST had an eagle land on his hand without his falconry glove, if I remember correctly. He almost died from the infection and he says the claws went all the way through his hand. As in literally in one side, out the other.

Currently watching back all the old episodes . Im a retic breeder they are wicked fast when they strike at you have lost so much blood due to them especially when they first came to pet trade and we’re not captive bred. If ya get bit by a snake a great way to get it off is alcohol had a buddy get bit by a 19ft retic he had a beer with him so I poored the beer on the snake it messes with the senses.. afterwards the snake was fine gave my buddy few stitches gave the snake a bath so the alcohol didn’t dry her skin out

I remember an Animal Planet special on giant snake attacks and their survivors. One guy got attacked by his pet and had a friend pour hard alc down the snake’s throat, which made it leg go. Another guy explained that bending a constrictor’s tail upwards will make it let go, but that’s assuming you can even reach it in time and have leverage. The most hardcore survivor was a Kenyan schoolteacher who got bit on the face or neck by a rock python, and was going unconscious…so he bit it back. He bite as hard as he could on its neck and he killed it faster. So, if you can do that, that might be your best shot, brutal though it may be.

So, I hate to break it to you but the conduit used for that kind of stuff is not that thick. It’s covered in zinc because it’s galvanized in order to prevent it from corroding. Nonetheless the beaver chewed through the metal but it’s not like a 50 mm thick piece of metal

I’m in Northern California. Homelessness is a horrible problem here too. I wouldn’t be homeless in the city, I’d try to make my way towards the mountains and just go live off the land and off the grid, which is what I think those who are homeless because they hate the comforts of having a permanent shelter should go. My animal companions would be a river otter because I love a great fishing companion and a mountain lion as a hunting companion. I wouldn’t need anything else.

In defense of the beaver, it doesn't sound like the conduit is actually 4.5" thick all the way around. If it 4.5" in diameter, how thick is the actual internet cable? Let's say it's 2.5-3.5" thick, that makes the conduit .75-1" thick, making the entire conduit and internet cable 4.5" in diameter. the conduit could even be less thick than that. Beavers can chew through a lot so it makes sense, but I doubt they would actually be able to chew through 4.5" thick metal. Plus conduits aren't one piece of pure thick metal tube surrounding the internet cable, it's a bunch of metal intertwined to make a thicker barrier, so the beaver being able to chew through it is a lot easier now.

My 3 homeless camp animal picks would be 1. A Dogue De Bordeaux. They are loyal to their owners, are very affectionate to their owners, but big enough to look intimidating, Giant bark, bite will do damages. 2. Orangutan, whom I will name Clyde. They are highly intelligent and I believe will be my source of income. People will want to take pictures of him. $5.00 per picture. Also, no one will mess with me if I'm walking down Skid row with a 150 lb male DDB and an orangutan. 3. Amazon parrot. I will teach the bird to pickpocket people and fly away..😂 I really enjoy listening to y'all whole I do housework. Why don't you like Pat, retep?

Let me see, I would have to choose a chimpanzee, a crow, and a hen. Chimps are great with tools so I should have no problem training it to disassemble and reassemble my tent (because we know that’s a pain in the ass). Also it’s human characteristics will help my imagination while we spoon... Crows are just whimsical and I’ll send mine to the hills to steel me shiny expensive jewelry. Crows love shiny things. Lastly the hen. The hen will give me eggs. These eggs won’t be for eating. They will be for throwing. Any LA snob who scoffs at my homelessness will catch an egg to the head. To avoid any lawsuits my chimp will be throwing the eggs. Also Pat wins. The condiment plan was hilarious. Also no cat left behind... which reminds me, Pat I need a picture of Lemly still!!!
