Two winters in a dugout by the river, Bushcraft shelter building, off grid life

This dugout was my favorite place. It had beautiful views, a big river and no people at all. The shelter was made in such a way that one could stay here at any time of the year, as long as one had enough supplies for several days. I built a small bathhouse near the dugout, which also pleased me.

I had a meat grinder once and stupidly gave it away. I want to tell you that you have many talents, young man. I am very old now but enjoy watching all of you but you are unique Best of luck from Upstate USA and God Bless you in all your endeavors.

You have good carpentry skills. It reminds me of my father. He was a carpenter. If I had to guess, I would say you are a carpenter too. I miss him.

I thought I was finally going to see a bushcraft video where provisions had been made in regards to personal hygiene. Oh well, guess I was wrong bc I saw steam, then a body of water, but never soap and towel.

You definitely need a pair of logging claws. You get different sizes. Not too big but I'd say up to 10 inch. Save your back a world of future pain and makes dragging and stacking/placement a doddle

Very nice little place but you need to get a real chainsaw that Chinese one doesn't cut it buy a Stihl you will be very happy with it

I might be able to help sir,, look up roll insulation or ask. I’m not carpenter but the foam insulation is 100 percent better to help keep unwanted bugs and stuff like that out .

I wish I knew what that metal bracket is really called so I could find them online. I can't get a good screenshot of it so my photo app can do a search for it. May be someone can tell me what it is called. It looks like a giant staple.
