According to a different contestant they don’t. They literally just leave after showing them. No call back and will not fix errors. And according to the gal they sit you down and ask you what you want and don’t want and then get a designer to go against all of it. For her, her husband said he hates old looking designs , and then they on purpose brought in a designer who’s whole style is “1950’s” it was awful. The gal said all she wanted was a fresh coat of paint, the holes in her walls fixed, and new carpet. What they gave her was ASTROTURFF and built in fish tanks into to wall holes that will cost to remove, and then wallpaper (fluorescent yellow with ivy and pink flowers) not even paint...

How hard nosed is the presenter? She's literally and metaphorically looks down on all the home owners

The" presenter" is truly horrible. Condescending attitude & facial expressions, cold tone of voice & a general impatience with her guests. Get rid of her!

Chasidah L If you watch the full episode, she actually scolds bad designers like the gras herb on the wall designer. Many people forget that it is not her design, she walked in that house (the AstroTurf aquarium herbs on the wall yellow green mess) and the first things she said were ‘oof’ and I don’t know what I have stepped in, things like that. One of the first things she says in an episode is that these designers must realise that they are paid to decorate OTHERS’ homes and that they may have their own style and all but should not just make someone else’s house look like their own. She gets a lot of hate and is called cold and snarky but it is just her facial expression of not being impressed by the designers’ decor as well

I really don’t like the vibe I’m getting from the presenter. She’s coming across quite rude.

Admittedly that kitchen is by far one of the better jobs on the show

Man, I should have a renovating/redecorating show- I’d definitely would make people happy. This woman is a hit or miss so often.

I've gone down the rabbit hole watching clips of this show that I have never seen or heard of before. Is the purpose of it to make everyone regret the life choices that brought them to this point? GOOD FUCKING GRIEF.

I like how when they walked in the kitchen, both women's (and my own!) eyes lit up, even though the men seemed not so excited. I did like the basic look of the dining room, but I think that natural wood would be difficult to keep clean. I also understand their concerns about safety for small children. Hopefully they can modify the room a little and keep the basic vibe.

Finally a decent room! I haven't seen part the kitchen yet, but the fact I found /one/ room that turned out good is something I'm holding on to. Edit: Now on to the dining room....So close, yet so far.

Love the dinning room.

I've never seen this show, but certainly, they give the designers some details about the family, right? Who in their right mind would think that dining room is safe for a child to be in? They tried to trade practicality for a hot mess that barely works.

@@casey991000 I honestly like both too. Wouldn't have them as a design choice personally though. The kitchen is more practical but the dining room looks like it came straight out of a video game. Which I don't hate. The chairs don't look at all comfortable at all, looks like they went for design over functionality and comfort. I did not like how the curtains were sloppily draped on the floor. I would also not have that flooring looking so rough but it didn't look bad, just impractical I guess

These designers are literally just trying to promote their skills in this show. No care for their practicality of the family’s needs that include children literally laughing my head off! It’s a lovely Decor but cheap! You could actually tell of the value around everything around the cost of the decor.
