Thanks Tim! Totally agree on the cadence of the videos with two people. It was / is always very hard to make sure things felt like they were removing doing it alone, making quick cuts to keep things from being boring. Fine line between that, and actually showing something of value. Two-man team definitely has a special vibe to it. Plus, it’s more fun for us in general. Easier to stay motivated, and the editing side of it is more enjoyable, too, because you’re sifting through all of the funny stuff, including the things that we can’t actually say on KZread in public 😅

Haha Tony taking a number 2 on the poor left case! Two things, we learned today that there is two uncle’s around, but let us all remember: There is only one (Dirty). Second: I have to raise concern, i dont see Larry anywhere? Did Tony not feed him properly? Did i just see a stinger og 96, jees chuck and dirty, you find them jewels. Hahaha thanks Mike! Yes, there is only one dirty! We’ve all heard of ODB, this is OGD! Yes, unfortunately now that Larry has been removed from his nutrient source (rotting bike seat foam outside in the sun and rain) he has withered and perished. But we’ve kept the body preserved in a plastic baggie, because the new owner of this bike will also win Larry’s remnants when we give it away 😂 thank you for your concern and condolences haha. Stinger… all day! Boioioiioiiiiiooooiiiiooonnnnggg

Dude! I was just commenting to Hitchko last week that I wish the PC stuff still came with the stinger. He just put one on his KX250 build, I have a 304 showing up today………but no stinger 😢 Edit: nevermind, my other order is showing up today. PC muffler is coming next Thursday or so.

Silencer will be here today and I found a new PC silencer with a stinger so I ordered that this morning. So ill have 3 exhausts for my POS!

Definitely love you guys working together pure educational entertainment 😂 😂. I personally stopped running black rads I tested the theory and they run WAY hotter than bare metal or a light color

Hahaha! We’re soked to hear it. Sometimes we may all be getting a little dumber as well… all in fun! Always wondered if that’s why they stopped painting them black from the factory back in the day. Ours were so thrashed, more of a cleanup technique to match the factory color. Dean at FBC even has a heat dissipating coating for these and exhaust systems. Trick stuff with the best of both worlds 🙌 Thanks for watching!

Thanks dude! It’s certainly an aquired taste. We can be serious too, sort of. The bikes we build are where that goes down. Interesting feedback. I tested that myself as well years ago two and four stroke and found no great impact on the black (anodized) radiators for higher running temps. What surface treatment were you using?

I love your channel man, I love how you explain everything really clearly and I love your setup, I live in nampa Idaho it would be a blessing to have a tour of ur shop in Boise🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ I’m trying to get money to fix my Suzuki but I broke my ankle riding my other dirtbikes and I can’t work or ride for 10 weeks atleast.

The 6 speeds from the older bikes swap in the 5 speed bikes. Did it on my 02 just this winter !

No way! So there’s clearance for the six speed transmission inside the five speed cases? Or you dropped a five speed into a six speed case? (pretty sure you meant exactly what you said about the six inside the five case… but it would be good to know)

What white paint/color did you guy’s go with? I’m looking for the correct “White” color for my 2018 TE300i frame. Not sure which is the closest one Ral 9003 or 9016..

Pro circuit stinger, and white air box. 👌 This thing is going to be so cool. 👍

Thanks for the video gents, had the same problem removing the jug studs, took me days of heating gently and using candle wax small tapping on top, I had also buggered the threads and welded larger nut closer to base of cases so stud wouldn’t bent/snap.

Those sure are all the tricks to get it done! Sounds like you pulled it off too. Heck yes.🙌 I’ve seen as bad as snapped off flush with the cases. Machine shop will weld a washer to the stud, through the washer hole- then weld a nut to the washer. Usually the heat from the welder is more than enough to extract the stud too. We couldn’t believe where we ended up with these in the end. Almost felt embarrassing. But made for good content on the website. “What to do when” as we’re all human. It would be strange if it was short, but you could definitely try running it down the opposite side of your frame if it afford you any extra slack. If that doesn’t work, I would order a new cable. Routing should be from the throttle housing above, back behind the front number plate, and down the side of the frame rail. Some bikes, have the cable routed on the left of the frame rail, some routed on the right. It really doesn’t matter. Inversely a cable that is too long on one side of the frame can be routed on the other side to remove slack. I hope that helps

Hey Charles with coating radiators does it have any effect on cooling or profomence?

Have never hit them with at temp gun personally, but word on the street is that coatings can make them run hotter. It may be why factories stopped painting them from the factory back in the 90s. We’re sure that would also save them some money. But as you’ve noticed, everything nowadays is bare aluminum. We would imagine there are some performance benefits as well, in terms of lower temperatures. In our case, being that these were black when they were new, we are trying to keep an OEM vibe and of course, keep them looking a bit nicer. Dean at FBC even has a heat dissipating coating that is black. So it has some performance and good looks!

Dude, you are not kidding! Those things are so stinking thin! We think they punch the frames through the sticker. We usually hang onto the stickers just in case what’s left of the Vin number on the frame disappears after a coat.
