That's why Charlie threw Alan out. Charlie was obviously mad that his brother would stoop so low as to suck gas out of his car, but was willing to let it go. What actually cost Alan a place in Charlie's house was the fact that he still asked for $24.78 after already siphoning $13.22 worth of gasoline in an attempt to get his $38 back.

I sided with Alan at the start, Charlie has a load of money but didn't give it back, and sucking the gas was funny. But when Alan asked for 24 dollars, he really crossed the line, Charlie had every right to try to burn his mouth off at that point.

Alan: I am not cheap. Who the hell does he think he's kidding?!

Judith : This was just for 24 $ Alan : 24 $ and 78 cents

Alan really was an irk in this episode. He woke Charlie up demanding his money to be repaid, but anyone in his right mind would know that someone would have to go to the bank first to get the money. And when he asked again, he asked rudely. Finally, he obviously never heard the expressions, "Two wrongs don't make a right," and "You can't bite the hand that feeds you." Sucking Charlie's gas was far worse than Charlie not paying him back.

This was one of Alan's most insufferable moments. He loans Charlie $38 and when he doesn't pay him back because its $38 and he lives in his house rent-free he steals his gas to get him to pay him back.

"Cheap Gas-Sucking Flammable Irk" should've been the title of this episode.

Wonder why they could've just use certain quotes to name the episode based on the situation has happened most of the time. Like "I can't afford hyenas." Is a good choice of quote for Charlie's financial situation.

If I had been in Charlie's place I would have definitely kicked Alan out the door at that moment. He has lived rent-free in a beach house in Malibu all these years and then has the gall not only to ask Charlie several times for the ridiculous sum of 38 dollars but also to pump gas out of his car. Alan got kicked out by Judith which was 100% Alan's own fault, then he moved in to Charlie's house by showing up in the middle of the night. Lived there for while before Charlie even met Alan's lawyer and also Alan is spineless coward, who bent over any time Judith even mentioned bringing lawyers involved even though doing so would have resulted in Alan winning no matter how great of lawyer Judith has or how shit Alan's lawyer is. So yeah, Alan himself is the reason he lost everything, not Charlie

I found it very satisfying when Charlie threw him out. Speaks volumes to Jon Cryer's acting chops to make Alan so unlikable.

Ok so i haven't seen the episode but charlie was totally right about kicking alan out he and his son live there for free charlie covers pretty much every expense but the second charlie has him pay for one thing he pulls a stunt like this at that point charlie should have said ok then you pay me back the thousands you owe me. Honestly, charlie is made out to be the asshole brother but alan is a conniving spineless coward who caves into his ex's demands like she has a leash around his balls.

As someone whom watched a big chunk of TaaHM, I admit Charlie is an alcoholic flirt with commitment issues but this whole issue started but by Charlie sleeping with Laura the lawyer but with Alan being a suffocating husband to Judith. This was the first step in a downward spiral for Alan but I don't really sympathise with the Irk especially here cuz if I was Charlie I'd turf him out faster than the flammable leech can say "Help Me". Granted I'm a bit more biased but I hate Alan and Charlie's mother Evelyn moreso than any other character.

Nope, Charlie is free to sleep with anyone he likes , he is not really caused Alan’s mishaps, alan brought that on himself by hiring a divorce lawyer who have no legal ethics. Spineless Parasites like Alan have no moral high ground as they claim and literally deserves all that is coming to him. Alan is a spineless chicken who is afraid to fight for his life and Charlie is not responsible for his poor life choices
