Ойын-сауық

#TwoandHalfMen #money
Watch Two and a Half Men on IFC!
Two and a Half Men originally aired on CBS for twelve seasons. Originally starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, the series was about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie Harper, his uptight brother, Alan, and Alan's mischievous son, Jake. As Alan's marriage falls apart and divorce appears imminent, he and Jake move into Charlie's beachfront Malibu house and complicate Charlie's freewheeling life. Ashton Kutcher was hired as Walden Schmidt, a billionaire who buys Charlie's house after his death.

Well, being dirt-poor, Alan basically has no means left to be generous. So being cheap is not a choice, its a survival condition. There is an episode, where he earns better by chiropracting a wealthy customer, and he takes care of the check and gives Jake extra money for stuff, which shows he is generous when he can afford it.

Few people may have noticed but Jon Cryer performed his own stunts throughout the whole series. I remember the one where he gets tased and is contorting on the hallway floor, the other one where he dives for the corner after the girl he's breaking up with flips open her lighter and he thinks it's a gun and here how he jumps on the seat's backrest and falls backwards. He could have hit his head on the edge of the stone step behind him or the table on it... Much underrated actor who in my opinion was a great part of the success of the series... Brilliant how he played the scene with the lighter and adjusting his book.....

I find Alan's constant mooching sometimes a bit amusing due to how elaborate he can be, but this one scene 4:12 makes me always feel unspeakable rage towards him as a character, given how much Charlie pays for and has up til that point and he tries to squeeze more money out of Charlie. He should of given it without a whisper of a complaint. I rarely swear but I swear up a storm during this scene. I wish Charlie set him on fire, but gaged him first so we don't have to hear his high pitch yelling.

I feel like they dumbed him down literally bc the character he use to be wasn't one dimensional and to continue the show with Walden would not create the same chemistry he had with Charlie. Walden is a pretty boring character with no real story. Alan, Charlie and Jake are family. With Walden Jake was a byproduct of Alan remaining. It's sad unfortunately. I always felt like I was watching 2 shows when Walden came on.
