He wanted cute pastel merch and his team did it and then after drama happened it was too late after production. It looks a lot like Tyler the Creators fashion brand but you dont need to listen to his music to enjoy the clothes. H3h3 reminds me of Robert Pattinson in the movie "Good Time" where he robs a bank and then everything goes wrong. So he starts a huge rabbit hole of manipulating people and trying to fix everything that went wrong like getting his partner out of arrest and trying to get more money. By the end of the movie hes running down the streets from over 50 cops and he end sup in the same seat as any drunkard or small time criminal would. @Slly it's color blocking. It's been around since the 80s. The colors are similar, but so are a ton of pastel color block designs. That shit happens all the time in fashion. Once your brand becomes popular, people will get inspired by it and release similar styles. Like the thing is teddy fresh didn't copyright color blocking. If Ethan brought this to court, he wouldn't win. Like it's funny that Ethan thinks it could cause competition and overlap with his fans being confused. Bitch they have 2 completely different audiences. James is a makeup youtuber and Ethan is a commentary podcaster. Rarely do those audiences overlap. This would be like if Wrangler got upset with another company for making blue jeans that were a similar color and design. The brand is too generic to be considered "their original design".

Hila wasn’t the first to do a design like this and wasn’t the last. It’s hardly a groundbreaking design that nobody else can come up with. It’s extremely likely JC’s designers came up with this independently, just as many other designers have. Designers who have done this design or ones similar include Nike, Shien, 424, River Island, Madsimo Giorgetti, Urban Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger, Agora, Supreme and Route One. Fashion tends to work like this, trends come about and things look alike. Chanel made women’s tweed suits a popular thing and other designers followed suit.

The fact that he calls this a controversy is pretty sad. It's all the more reason to think they he's just getting away from the previous controversy of him re-platforming Britbong.

Whether or not James' merch company (which is not "his" company as people implied, he doesn't own his own merch company lmao) ripped of Teddy Fresh, Ethan has been massively fucking petty about this. If you think the merch is ripping you off, you could tell him to do something. You could send a cease and desist, you could sue. But NOOOO, whine on twitter like you're 15 and some chick said hi to the guy you have a crush on. James straight up asked what he wanted done, since it was too late in production to change the design. H3 could've said to pull the line, or to say 'inspired by Teddy Fresh [link to TF]' on the sell page. But instead he left James on read and tweeted it to start drama so people would watch his shitty fucking podcast.

Yeah. They kept implying it's the same colours and some even said they have the same shades, when one's clearly lighter. It's not really a stretch to come up with the same colour combinations since only certain colours work well together. With that said, JC should really get a new design team since he's been involved with something like this a while ago as well about an artwork, iirc.
