A cool little fact. Iron is the last element stars create. Once Iron is forged in the core of the Star and if it is big enough it explodes and that explosion fuses and creates all the heavier elements from fusing iron with other lighter elements.

The Iron Warriors have a Litany that provides some context: “From iron cometh strength; From strength cometh will; From will cometh faith; From faith cometh honor; From honor cometh iron; This is the Unbreakable Litany. May it forever be so.” I think the Iron Warrior dude that's talking is using Iron as an association with Blood in many senses, including as Life, Will and the Power to make what you will true. Basically: I am alive because I have blood that is still pumping; If an enemy to me and my brothers appears, I will remove that fucker's blood by using iron ordinance of heavy caliber; Iron and the power to use it are the things that rule this universe. Apologies if this is incoherent; I took some sleeping pills and will proceed to sleep after this comment.

The code of iron of the old Iron Warriors is perhaps what he is talking about

Blood contains a certain ammount of the Element Iron. Thus by stating his god is iron, he also states that his god flows in his veins.
