Do note as well; Even after the "100" years that the Lamenters were stuck inside the Warp and came out, they were inspected by the Inquisition and NONE, and I mean, NONE of them had a single taint of Chaos during those "100" years.

The Lamenters are quite possibly, no definitely, the most HUMAN Astartes there are. If Abaddon somehow manages to reach the gates of the Imperial Palace again, he will find the Lamenters there waiting for him, and they will throw him back into the Eye of Terror screaming in fear. The most terrifying enemy is one that has lost everything, and done so time after time. The Lamenters have always lost, even in victory. You can't frighten them, because they already know fear.

The Lamenters were the first non 2nd founding chapter I've learned about and ever since they've been one of my favorite. They are sons of Sanguinius through and through!

The Lamenters are true and absolute gigachads. Top 3 most favorite chapters, absolutely.

I remember listening to adeptus rediculis on the lamenters and i know of them before then.but that episode made me want to know about them.while i was reading on the wiki about in there artifact section i saw the flag bearing the chapters symbol upon it. Apperently there are sisters of battle who primarly focus upon finding lost relics of chapters,legions,etc well apperently one of those sisters found.that flag and was tasked to purify it in the name of the emperor."and it was said that when she went into that room to purify the flag she could do not but weep. Weep for those fallen and those true sons of the emperor may thay ever fight at his side".

He only makes one mistake in this video and it's that the Fire Hawks aren't sons of Vulkan they're Ultramarines successors. But yeah they are the best Bois. Lamenters need 999.

@@samiamtheman7379 that is true when doing research there are alot of chapters with fire in the name but the Fire Hawks and Lamenters are from the same founding so it makes it harder to believe that lorewise a Lamenter would make that mistake. Honestly the video is so well done I can't fault the mistake as I've made worse mistakes when retelling 40k lore.

Its only suspected that they are an ultramarine successors chapter. There is no certain proof that we know off, I think ? Don't hold me to it, lol. Lords of Macragge have never publicly acknowledged kinship, I believe its in the imperial armour book 9 about the badab war, which i could be wrong.

I actually play the lamenters chapter on the table top baceuse these guys deserve respect and it's a crime that you rarely see people paint them

Taxi cab isn’t the best color scheme to paint on small figures. I’d like them to get a new color scheme as a part of the Primaris surge for them. Maybe Red for them being a Blood Angles successor, then Black for the Black Rage, then Yellow or gold for the eyes and standout pieces.

It's been a year, but I too play our sad taxi boys on the tabletop. Those checkerboards are not easy to do though, worth it in the end though

you know, i've always thought this about the Lamenters: for all their bad luck and misfortunes, all the horrors and bs the universe throw at them and yet, they're still here, they still fighting the good fight if that isn't luck, idk what is

I may be misremembering, but during their time as part of the Maelstrom Wardens they fought a massive living warp/space hulk abomination. While fighting alongside other chapters, mainly the Astral Claws, it was discovered that they had significantly more resilience to the effects of the warp/chaos than even historically very pure chapters. (Edited for spelling.)

I would LOVE for Warrior Tier do a video about the Carcharadon's or Flesh-Tearer's.

Watching the story of the Lamenters is like watching an adoption center full of service dogs getting burnt...

I can't believe you did Lamenters and haven't touched the Sanguinius video. The Sanguinius video was a beautiful story detailing the life and death of the great angel and the hope that was in the early days before everything started breaking down until the final confrontation aboard the Vengeful Spirit.

Best boys in the 40k universe.

Yeah this is a heavy story.

I remember your imperial guard lore vid about the Astartes being called shield of humanity when the guardsmen being the shield in reality. What would you call the Lamenters? The armor of humanity? Edit: When I first heard of them, the Lamenters are easily my favorite.

Was Huron right about what he did making his reformed “legion” or was there any he was right about or was he wrong on everything? What do you think would’ve happened had the inquisition not butted in during the badab war?

The Mortifactors bailed on the Lamenters and got out without even a reprimand, much less actual consequences. It's so damn unfair, but what else is new for the Lamenters...

You should check out the channel a vox in the void. It's narrated stories kinda like this. I think you might dig it
