Yeah, it never made much sense to me how the newborns are stronger than older vampire..logically should be he other way around but since is twilight, I guess I shouldn't even wonder...

marishkaspirit they still have hardly any control over their new abilities to where the older vampires have gotten used to it and absorbed it over time. Like a person trying alcohol for the first time they're crazy as hell but a consistent drinker wont be affected at all

Alyssa Aldana I wish it was like the Originals or vampire diaries that’d make sense someone experienced with power would beat someone who just got it they’d be unexpectedly strong but the more experienced one would know what to do especially seeing as Emmett isn’t just a regular vampire like Edward etc the Cullen family next to Felix Emmett is one of the most physical fit/strongest vampires alive

It explains in the book that newborns are stronger because their body is full of blood from their human days so their new vampire body is using up all that fresh blood. Meanwhile the older vampires bodies are no longer full of their human blood and strictly depend on the blood of other living things. But I do wonder if a vampire were to completely drinks as much human blood as they can, would they also be as strong as a newborn?
