@larissamartins8525 I hated all of the "speed" scenes. The one where they were on the treadmill was just terrible. And all the zooming features and effects were horrible. But I did love the looks of the wolves and that transition.

I don't know why you call it "his baby", Edward never planned to have a child with Bella, it was unexpected because being a vampire, he shouldn't be able to get anyone pregnant and so that was not how he saw the fetus, he saw it as a parasite that was killing his wife. Obviously, for her safety, he would have preferred her to have an abortion.

Edward saw the situation more "realistic", Bella looked "romantic". Throughout the series, Bella has always compared vampires to angels, and that was morbidly absurd. It was huge luck that Renesmee was a near-normal and harmless child. At least that's what SM wrote.

Honestly, nothing in this situation really makes any sense to me. Like, the baby is half human but have a high chance of being some sort of demon baby? And also grown really rapidly despite vampires not aging at all? It shoudn't age slower like a vampire but still age like a human? It shoudn't be slithly weaker than a pure vampire? Vampires in Twilight are confusing...

I completely understand both of their point of views on the baby. There are some situations in real life ((of course no situations of a vampire baby in real life)) when a woman will possibly die by bringing a baby into the world and the father or husband/father doesn’t want that. But the mother or wife/mother wants a baby more than anything, seeing that the baby will still be a part of her in the world even if she is gone. It’s a terrible situation all around. However I do feel that Bella & Edward should have fully talk about it as a husband & wife should do. Yes it did work out in the end but imagine what would have happened if it didn’t work out. Those are my thoughts on the situation. I’ll leave it at that. Thanks for uploading.

There was actually a huge debate recently about choosing between baby and mother in extreme situations. 95% of the fathers chose save the wife. Almost 80% mothers chose to save their body instead of the baby.

It's pretty important to discuss this as parents beforehand, because apparently women who would normally choose to save themselves are affected so much by the process of giving birth that in the heat of the moment they choose the baby.

Actually in the previous scene, Carlisle already gave bella food but bella's system refused it. They didnt know what a hybrid baby (a half vampire, a half human) wanted. They thought it's like human baby. Later, finally they knew that the baby's food was vampire's food.

Interesting. In the books, Edward was very careful not to upset Bella. Here he finally expresses his feelings, and i totally get his pov. He doesn't want this baby but Bella is forcing it onto him. How could Bella think he would be a doting father when he had so clearly expressed his wishes she abort the baby? It's actually kind of a relief because I did think book Edward was...well, pretty much gave pretty lies to Bella rather than the blunt truth. Jasper's face when Carlisle said he had blood. I kind of get that too. Everyone is thirsty and surrounding a pregnant human, and Carlisle didn't think to share the blood reserves?!

Stephanie Meyer is very much a conservative Mormon. So, her version will be a lot mor in favour of the pro-life perspective, just like her books promote abstinence and girls marrying as soon as they leave school. Edward, Bella and Renesme are basically the Holy Family. However, she had less of a hand in the movies, where they could explore the grief of the father, the medical risks of bringing a pregnancy to term and take a more balanced approach to things like abortion. The blood is O- though, which means it's for patients.

Plus, he’s been waiting for years to find someone to spend the rest of his life with and he does but now this thing is taking her away too. Carlisle said he had the blood laid aside for Bella. Most likely meaning that it was for giving her blood transfusions, not for drinking. And that it being in sealed plastic bags in a cooling area; may be why the others didn't notice the scent. In other words, Carlisle is not trying to hide blood from thirsty vampires, he is a doctor taking steps to prevent Bella from dying. Bella drinking the blood did not occur to Carlisle until Edward said what Jacob thought, what Bella said and that Edward mentioned how it would have to be human blood.

Honestly I feel like this is definitely a situation that both partners need a say in, because this is going to be affecting both of their lives. Yeah Bella is the one carrying it, and that might make her opinion more weighted, but her husband, who will be left to raise the child, still counts in the situation.

Nah, it's the mothers say ultimately because she'll be carrying it and she'll be the only one truly making a sacrifice. If Edward didn't raise her someone else would've, he wasn't being forced to be a father. His mentality was extremely toxic though, if he truly loved Bella he would've loved the child as it would be the only part of her left.

Plus it takes two to make a baby, so fathers should assume the consequence of their actions and accept whatever the person who carries the baby decides to do. And if they don't want to raise it it's fine, they don't have to 🤷‍♀

My favourite is the bathroom soon like damn the song everything was perfection. The ‘cooold as we go sloooow’ was one chilling as she checks herself out in the mirror and see how the baby is not good for her and she’s slowly dying, and she looked so depressed and agitated, and what’s worse was Edward looking at her too, so she covered herself because she knew he wouldn’t like it… I live for the song… it’s so grey. This may not be my favourite film but that scene alone wins over ANY movie I’ve watched. Damn, the way it made me feel.

Rosalie was just biding her time, hoping she could be the baby's mum when Bella didn't survive. She never gave a stuff about Bella which is why she never even tried to save her like the others did by encouraging her to end her pregnancy.

Rosalie previously admitted that she was jealous of Bella's mortality and luxury of choice. Rosalie was beaten to death and saved outside of her control and exists in a state of permanent pause. Immortality must be incredibly isolating. She didn't want Bella to feel welcome because she thought Bella was just some dumb girl attracted to "pretty sparkly immortality" and never consider all that she would have to give up. It was a fair deal that the two women made. "Protect me and care for me and if I die, you can have the kid." Rosalie kept to it and was the only one who didn't shame Bella or try to convince her to kill her and her husband's child.

I've heard some interesting theories on this, one of which focusing on the fact that vampires, biologically, are both bait and predator--humans are drawn to them like addicts. Bella isn't at all different from someone like Jessica, both are attracted to Edward--the only difference is that Edward is attracted back. So in this theory, Bella isn't so much in love with Edward as she is addicted (and in deep withdrawal in New Moon). Bella has never had any real desire to be a mother before. She's suddenly willing to die for this baby, not because it's her baby, but because it's Edward's, and because it's half-vampire. It's both Edward's and the baby's natural predator vibes that are working on her addiction, unconsciously. The baby wants to live, and vampires live by feeding off humans, so the baby's unconsciously using this power on Bella. There's this whole theme of Bella needing to make her own decisions, which is a good thing. But in this theory, Bella hasn't been in her right mind since Edward came into her life. She's been an addict, willing to risk her life (and others) for him, and for his baby. In this theory, Bella is a prisoner within this addiction, making decisions she'd NEVER have made a year and a half ago.

THISSSSS. I realized all of this when I first read it when I was like 12. It’s so obvious to see. Also it’s why Jacob tries so hard to make her see it. Twilight is actually really dark & tragic. Jacob & Bella were soulmates & they would’ve effortlessly been together if not for the addiction. I call it vampire “thrall.” It’s subconscious. Also the only reason edward chose bella was bc he couldn’t read her mind. If he did , he wouldn’t be interested and wouldn’t have pursued her. He never should have. Idk how people can watch or read these and think it’s like just a romance..it’s actually incredibly dark and destructive. It’s quite obvious in the books too.

I started out as a dumb naive fan, then over time and learning more about the terrible writing of Stephenie Meyer and also maturing and realizing things myself... I became an anti-fan. I still loved elements of the story and certain characters and the immense potential the story had, if it had a WAY different ending. In general, Jacob is my favorite character and SM's assassination of his character is honestly the most tragic part of this whole story imo. Bella and Edward were never good for each other, the entire core of their relationship was based on the fact that she was just under his vampiric spell. I've read SO many great fanfics where Bella chose to stay human and end her relationship with Edward and I truly wish that was canon. Like... its sounds stupid but this crap actually makes me want to cry lol how much potential this story had but stupid Stephenie Meyer just HAD to have her special little love story play out the was she wanted, instead of being a good writer and just let the story play out in a way more sensical way that would have been better and a way better model for younger girls to follow. The amount of girls and women I see that just have stars in their eyes about how much Bella and Edward were TRU WUV and will justify their opinions because well that's how it's written, that's what the author intended... well have none of them ever realized how much the author is a freaking idiot??? Well; Bella isn't much better. Imagine being Edward for a moment. I get that nobody seems to care about the fathers in these situations, but it's their lives that are being ruined too. Edward would have lost his wife, would despise his daughter, and just hate himself, blaming himself for all of it and probably eventually killing himself. Bella forcing Edward to go through with that is equally as "abusive" as Edward, but ultimately; neither of them were abusive, they just weren't compatible. They should have never been together and the whole thing was nonsensical. Neither party should have been forced to give up anything, especially something as serious as what they were both giving up. Edward giving up the love of his life and Bella giving up her child. Never should have happened because they should have been on the same page before this situation even occurred. All of it is ridiculous and incredibly toxic.

to be fair the part of Edward yelling at Bella isn't in the book, he goes out of his way to not upset her any more than she already is in the books. Don't know why they felt that this particular scene had to be in the movie, but it was directors choice, guess they wanted extra tension between Edward and Bella.

Because the director of the last two movies is utter shit and he did an awful job. Pretty much all the Twilight directors were awful/ Maybe not the second and third. But the first and last defiitely.

Man it's been 3 or 4 years since I read the books I need to get them out and start reading again there's some scenes I didn't like that they decided to ad in the last 2 movies of breaking Dawn yes Bill condon tried to make it as the books specify but some scenes I felt was a waste of time

that and I think they didn't want the movie to be as "Mormon". One of the big criticisms of the books was the very conservative message that it sends to young girls. They also added some more action scenes because the readers had grown up and had to keep them engaged

And Alice should've corrected her back. Rosalie does not care a bit about Bella, only about the unborn fetus she's carrying. She is a perfect example of the typical "pro-life" advocate- leave the mom to be destroyed and die for all she cares as long as the fetus survives to become a baby. Her character was unpleasant throughout the books but I could understand given her past, but this scene truly made me finally lose any respect for her.

It was awkward both ways they watching somebody die slowly and they just standing around watching my every move like dang move around lol

It's very strange when Edward says that Bella decided to leave him,when in New Moon,he left her first.

Twilight was also a sad story and this one proves it at all with New Moon actually. People who really loved their character like me cried because we were watching their love story degrading. 💔

I love this movie. All five episodes.i watch it every day. Bella, was very strong and devoted to what she wanted. And she didnt change her mind concerning Edward. She truly fell in love with him, knowing what he was. And my opinion, i dont know how vampires work, but this vampire Edward fell in love with Bella. It seen like, she change him ,in a good way. She was scare, but saying she wasnt afraid of him.but her love she have for him, made her stronger. That's how they will survive, loving each other, now that she have cross over. The best romantic vampire movie i have ever seen 💯

Gosh they had the most dysfunctional relationship! To think I devoured the books when I was 20 😅

As a child and teen I was like this bis is so dramatic just don’t have the baby it’s literally killin you-- but now that I. Married and trying to have my own family- I understand why she fought for her baby and willing to sacrifice herself to bring the baby to life 😭❤️

she just kept the baby in the hope that edward will turn her into vampire at the last minute.

Rosalie does care about bella any who thinks otherwise is wrong. When a human becomes a vampire some desires enhance for rose it was always to have a child. When bella decided to keep the baby rosalie understood bellas feelings. she saw things from a mother's perspective even though she has never nor will ever be one, she in a way has found something that has given that desire purpose like esme with the other Cullen kids.

This scene depict how selfish Bella is. She exactly know how Jacob feeling towards her but still wanted him to be around. Im so happy Jacob at least -in a weird way - still get “the girl”

It’s like how could 7 different vampires not think that a half vampire baby would want blood? Or why wouldn’t they consider a blood transfusion if it’s basically sucking the life out of her. I love Carlisle but he was not being the doctor he was supposed to be considering all aspects of this pregnancy.

It didn’t inspire teen pregnancy any more than it inspired right out of high school marriages or vampirism. It’s a first love romance with extenuating circumstances. If anything it inspired Fifty Shades of Grey.

@@hederlisa I don't think imprinting is necessary for werewolves (shapeshifters) to procreate though. Take Sam for example, he loved Leah before he imprinted on Emily, had he not met Emily, he still would have had a chance to procreate with Leah. Same with Jacob, he still fell in love with Bella even though she wasn't his 'soulmate'. Had Bella 'chosen' him, he could have had a baby with her. I think every wolf has only one 'soulmate' destined for them but they can still fall in love with other people before meeting them. And thus, can procreate. Jacob's soulmate was Renessmee. If she wasn't born, then either Jacob would have fallen in love with someone else, just like he did with Bella, or he would have been alone. Not all werewolves imprint. Maybe this is what happens with their 'soulmates'.

Bella was completely selfish. It's her body her choice, of course, but she chose to ignore the wishes of her husband (the father) and decided she'd rather die and leave him with a child he didn't want and would likely despise, that future child motherless, her own parents childless, and everyone around her emotionally destroyed. I loved the series until this part. I have never lost any and all respect for a character so quickly.

Jasper's faces when Jacob talked about the baby and when Carlisle said he had human blood in the house, got me 😂

Not bella sitting in the chair for at least half an hour 😂

It was never perfect, it was a bit toxic, I didn't see it back then since I was a teen and didn't know any better but as an adult it was toxic and she had no goals in life and just cared about him and hurt her dad, he did the same to his parents when he tried to kill himself

This scene makes me cry

"It feels complete when you're here, Jake" - that almost sounds like future Bella talking, imagining her family all being together when Renesmee is grown up.

This scene doesn’t happen in the books just like that, Leah did yell at bella, Edward was all about protecting her, taking care of her, the books and the movies are really different, some scenes did happened but not all of them happened that hurtful and there are a lot of deleted scenes that do happen on the books and they compliment very well the movies, they make a lot more sense.

Honestly, if my baby was killing me from the inside, if I’d known that I’d die before I could deliver, I’d terminate the pregnancy. But that’s just me. Even if the baby survives (and they might not in these cases) they’d be motherless.

Same. I would absolutely terminate a pregnancy rather than leave my future child motherless, my husband with a dead wife, my parents with a dead daughter, etc.. I loved this series and i am 100% pro-choice, but damn, Bella acted so selfishly here I could never see past it. Completely ruined the entire series for me to know how selfish she actually was deep down and how little she cared about those around her.

I'm pretty sure Bella would have had a much easier pregnancy with Jacob's baby instead.

The case here is more understandable. Hes a vampire who'll live hundreds if not thousands, so living that long after his wife's death would devastate him. Not to mention the obvious, the baby is killing her.
