Yes that was really off putting. You can fine a baby with older sisters that you can cast if you want the child to have similar features as the character ages.

Charlie was always my favorite character in these movies. I know watch him in anything I find out he is in. He is a very good actor. This scene had me in tears because he just wants to hold on to his daughter and he knows that somehow the baby is theirs. He looks at her with so much love. It's not like she died, she's still there, her mind emotions and everything, that isn't death, like she said she just had to change, she might not be human anymore but death is something else, that's her body and mind, she just looks more beautiful and she's harder than a statue, and cold...but it's still Bella, not a robot, or a clone, or an illusion or a ghost or anything like that, it's literally still his daughter Bella, just frozen

I love how even though his curiousity is just dying to know what happened. He trusts his daughter. In the books she's a corpse lying on the table after practically being bisected. Jacob performs CPR relentlessly on her corpse refusing to give up on her and as he's doing that Edward finally snaps out of the shock of her dying and the birth of the daughter and bites her all over and injects a vial of his vemon directly into her heart valves

In the book she loved him immediately. Bella and Edward told her to behave with him and not to bite him and she doesn't. She loves her grandpa and despite his confusion he just accepts that she's a special child because there's no fathoming all the details

That scene with the music at 3:17 and Charlie's line "I've missed you Bells" is so beautiful , it hits different. Kinda describes early marriage life where we're separated from our parents who raised us till then. It's so touching, from a married person's perspective.

Billy Burke is a fantastic*and underrated actor). I loved him in the series "Zoo"!

I honestly don’t think it will be an issue. They’ll be able to smell when he’s close to death, or at least Carlisle will. Then, they’ll probably tell him everything. And they’ll tell him that Bella and his granddaughter will live forever. It would bring be great joy knowing that my children will live forever. It’s not like the Volturi would care if he was close to death, plus they’d probably never have a reason to see them again, at least not for the next like, 500 years or so. So Charlie will eventually know, and I think it will bring him great peace.

He knows Bella is now like the Cullens and won't age but he doesn't know why. He's seen Carlisle live in the town for decades and saw that he never aged and it freaked him out but he knows that Bella is more like the Cullens than him now as he puts it.

I have to say Kristen Stewart did a good job acting as a vampire. Her acting in the previous four was not great but much better in this one.

I love Charlie so much and his concerns for Bella.

It's so sad when you realize his daughter actually died.

It's amazing that this story is being told with green screens, pulley systems, dolls, and all the extra thing's it takes to make this work. Thank you all for this opportunity to see and hear this fantastic story. Living in the real world is a gift and breaking all the rules to allow us to think about family and relationships is priceless.

Bella as vampire daughter she can remember some memories with her dad and many memories were forgot we can a see a little bit emotion in her face i feel very sad for charlie its makes me very cry and bella father is a braveman at all❤❤

I like to think when Charlie and Sue got together she filled him in. Sue wasn’t bound like the Vamps on telling about the Cold ones especially since Jacob phased in front of him. That’s why Charlie accepted the way things were at Christmas.

Charlie is a real one. He deserved so much better.

Problem is if Charlie was let in on everything... he'd know too much, and could be considered a threat by the Volturi (At least if I remember correctly, it was a while ago I read the series) They'd track him down and have him killed

Why can’t I stop re watching these movies. .?

I think they used the CGI coz if they find a normal baby to act in this there won't be any acting at all. The baby was supposed to look like she 'knew' her surroundings, like when she saw Charlie there was some reaction there. The human-vampire baby also grow faster than an average one, so Renesmee should not be like a normal baby...? It looked creepy and weird but there's a purpose.

can't risk the non CGI baby actors getting eaten by the adult vampire actors on set before the director says 'action'. That would be causing an unsafe working environment.

she is creepier in the book, has adult proportions, a fully developed brain and teeth, and prefers human blood.

Poor dad. Basically she treated him like shit and left him. Guy likely could have committed suicide losing his only child.

Watched this as a teen now im a mother myself and boooyy do these scenes hit differently, i feel for charlie so much more now that i did then.

I feel in my heart of hearts that when the special effects guys were told to make the baby they decided to make it as bad as possible to laugh at all of us fans....In any case, it is what it is. And I feel that in a few years when Twilight is a classic, they will correct it.

Charlie caught so many strays.

I know some may not remember this from the book, but when Charlie asks how long Renesmee had to live, I think Jacob or Carlisle said she had 4 months.Then Renesmee waved at him.

Notice how Charlie didn't touch Renesmee... If he did, she probably could have shown him things, which would have complicated the situation even more.

It wouldnt complicate anything, cause in books they told her to not touch him, renesmee was really smart and knew what she can and cannot do. + later on their meetings she didnt do that that thing with thoughts either

I started watching Twilight saga at the age of 4 in 2014 and now I'm 13 and still do

So he definitely felt that she is cold to the touch. It looks like he reacted to it when he hugged her. Also, not only did his daughter get married right out of high school, but now she and her husband 'supposedly' adopted a baby, all this as supposed teens. And he is going to eventually realize his daughter isn't aging. The older I've gotten, the more I realize how terrible the plot was. I feel really bad for him.

From Charlie's perspective it looks like she lost her daughter to a cult.

I thought the writing in the books was poor but the story was good so I kept reading. I had no complaints about the movies they made from the books. They left out some little details that I thought were cool story bits but were not essential to the actual story.

This dad can't be more open minded to life 😅

From Charlie's perspective, the Cullen's are a cult that Bella's gotten tangled up in and is too brainwashed to leave. So, no.

“She has your eyes Bella” as far as i’ve seen, she wearing contacts now that she’s officially a vampire and they have red eyes

Okay fuck this scene so hard. Charlie was the most sympathetic and most wronged character in this whole series. Dude is in the dark this whole franchise about the supernatural shit going on. He doesn't see his daughter for like 2-5 months, she gets pregnant with a demon baby, dies, and gets brought back as a fucking vampire, then when he sees her again she tells him "something's different, I just can't tell you. Also this is probably the last time we're gonna see each other." And he just takes it all. And then to top off this depressing cake, when he hugs her, he mentions that she feels cold. (Vampires are cold.) And like, I just fucking teared up because this dad just trying to do his best for his asshole, dumbass daughter, and her fucking gang of freaks show up and they ruin they're lives. Not to mention the actor playing the dad is really great in this scene, his performance was really believable so that's probably also why I got so emotional. But there is one thing wrong with this scene... the fucking CGI baby coming around the corner and sucking all the emotion out of the moment.

They hadn't seen each other for a month. It was exactly one month and one day between the wedding and their reunion...

This cop legit didn't suspect a thing after Bella, "fell through a window" in the first movie, and then just accepts her whole "Need to know" excuse waaaaay too easily

He felt her cold body but he didn’t care! He held her tighter…. He will love Bella no matter what. The real love of a parent has no bounds

What confuses me is if he’s under the impression the baby is adopted how is he gonna say she has Bella’s eyes 😂

That was him alluding to the fact that he thinks she might be Bella’s bilingual child because Renesme looks like her. The adoption story is clearly not fully going over with him

@@oihcam22 I don’t think that’s the case cuz how would it make sense that she had a baby in the 2 weeks that she was “sick” it takes 9 months to carry a child and then ontop of that the baby had a fast growth rate that already made her look 3 months old.

@@treehugger4203because Charlie realized that something supernatural is going on but it’s ‘need to know’ information. So he’s made the connection that Nessie is their biological child but he’s willing to play along and say adopted so there’s no issues

He knows it's bs and they're just saying it to sheild him. In the books he knows it's Bella's daughter the moment he sees her eyes. They decide that he'll be told things only on a Need to Know basis to protect him and also to protect themselves from the Volturi. Also to stop Charlie having a heart attack as the Jacob wolf turning nearly killed him from shock lol. He just accepts eventually that Bella is like the Cullens now and that Renesme is special due to her growth and abilities. The adoption story is for the whole world so he helps protect their secret by going along with it but he does know it's Bella's bio kid. Bear in mind she gave birth within a few weeks so there's no dancing around it. Also Charlie has always known the Cullens are strange as he's seen Carlisle never age despite living in the town for decades.

I'm so angry on her/them. Didn't they think about Charlie, about how he'll feel when he'll get to know his daughter is not alive anymore?

She’s alive and has given him a grand child. It’s just she won’t die but her dad will obviously because of old age unless he decides to get turned into a vampire as well
