TV Mounting onto Concrete Wall With A Regular Drill.
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This video just goes through how i like to drill holes into concrete/cinder block if you don't have a hammer drill. #millerlite
The drill bit set i would have bought if i wasn't in a rush to mount it.

You had me when I saw you holding that beer lol. Great video. I was thinking of hiring someone but after watching your video will try it myself. Wish me luck.
This installation might’ve seemed “stupid” to you, but this just adds useful tips and understanding not only to your pocket, but to the pockets of those who are clueless on how to mount a TV as well. Thank you for making this helpful tutorial ! Peace !
I was just about to pay someone 60 bucks cause I tried and tried with no success. Then I ran across this 😏 THANK YOU MATE!
I have never mounted a TV and I have always hired someone to do it for my moving business. Am learning how to mount so that I can do it on my own and stop hiring people. Thanks for the video Sir.

THANK YOU for the video. It was very helpful. You gave me a lot ideas of how to drill on the concrete.
You need a percussion or a hammer drill to drill into concrete,/masonry. You only need one bit, the size your anchor call for. It a masonry bit with a carbite tip. You drill in a little then pull out so powder can escape hole. It takes about 5 seconds to drill a 3/8" hole in concrete with a hammer drill, and the hole will be perfect for the anchor fit. Drilling without a hammer drill is gonna leave a wallowed out hole that is not perfect fit for anchor.

I wonder if my drill is a hammer drill.. Urgh, I know nothing about this stuff and my uncle has done nothing but put unnecessary holes in my walls while trying to put things up in my apartment.
Nice job. About to do the same and this is a great approach. Really appreciate it! 🙏
That's not a concrete wall, it's a concrete block wall. Disappointing that he couldn't do the whole installation holding a beer in one hand.

sipping on a beer out back as we speak! cheers good sir!
TV look great. If u did it right or wrong its your house enjoy it. 💯💯💯💯💯
I woulda probably scrapped my crapcrete wall going straight for the main bit. The gradual drilling is a great idea.
I like that, thanks for sharing.
Good tips man, I like the progressive drills idea. I am dealing with 24" on retaining concrete wall in the basement.

beautiful home bro! i moved to a new home and the whole first floor is cinder block. I'm gonna try this method
Man!!!! that was great and very helpful
Once I seen the beer I knew. My man. Thx mate
Nice place , good job
nice approach.
Currently trying to mount 41 TVs at an Amazon facility with a hammer drill and masonry bits and it’s has been a pain in the ass. Going to Home Depot now to try your method! Not sure if this concrete is different from your home this shit is at least 12 inches thick.
That looks awesome, wouldn’t call any home project stupid
I clicked on it cause saw u had a beer and I will probably have a beer when doing it 🤣

Thank you for the great video. I was looking at doing this. I wonder the cables how did you get the longer extended power cable for your TV? also how did you make it so clean?

There is a raceway on the bottom of the tv . Im pretty sure he ran an extension cord up to the back of the Tv . If it was me I would have put a junction box on the other side of the wall and install a receptacle behind the tv
With that weight the anchors you used are okay but I would recommend 1/2 concrete anchors and lag bolts only difference - AV Tech

Tapcons are also good
The video was great but when you said have yourself a beer did you drop the drink instantly or what was that loud cracking sound?
Im about to put one up on my patio.. Thinking of using a 2x6 and tapcons before mounting the bracket on the wall. With the tv I have its a pain to get the hdmi to get plugged in the back when its super flush with a wall.

Maybe a short HDMI extension plugged in before fixing to the wall, and then you have a tail to easily plug and unplug components?
Drink Hennessy instead…lol Good 👍🏽 Job!!
What’s the standard drill bit you use on all tv brackets?
Thanks bro 🙏
I'd have done it the same way.. not bad at all Brother
Definitely a Florida home
I throw epoxy glue in there too.
Hello. Just came through your video. Which tv mount did u buy?
Man Thank You

Great job and have a beer on me. Beautiful home🔥🔥🔥
How do you know where each concrete block ends so as to avoid drilling into the seams?
@SebastianBalos
Жыл бұрын
I didn't and it largely does not matter. the seems might be a bit "weaker" but its still enough to hold a TV in my opinion. Cheers!
Impact drills make quick work of concrete... Good tip about the level btw... There's sweet f@#k all length on that 1" pos to give an accurate averaged out reading.
does that dewalt come with hammer drill ?
@SebastianBalos

nope, its just a regular drill. Cheers!
Is that an impact driver or just a regular driver?
@SebastianBalos

Just a regular drill. The key is fresh drill bits. Cheers!

By looking at his drill bits you can see the hexagon shape so it is an impact driver not a regular drill.

What kind of anchors and size screws?
@SebastianBalos

The TV bracket should come with the anchors and screws. At least most do.
Forget the TV, how much does your house cost???? And where exactly are you? You got an indoor pool and a fountain (jacuzzi? hot tub? Hot tub Time Machine?) and you got your bedroom overlooking all of these AND you look like Zach Galifranikas (Whatever! Can't spell!) all while doing this! What job are you doing and how did you manage to buy such a sweet pad like this????😵💫😵
Works much easier with hammer drill
I wouldn’t use the wallplugs that come with the tv get some wall bolts next time and use hammer mode on the drill
beer and power tools is a bad combo....
What if I don't have a drill bro

You won’t be able to mount without a drill . I recommend investing on a hammer drill

Hammer Drill
You know a Mexican helped his ass on putting the actual tv on 🤣 that’s why he skipped that part lol
It’s not a hammer drill? No wonder it destroys the bits
Buy a better drill and you won’t need to use 4 drill bits.
