hello again Matt, we look after children who have had a bad time and suffered abuse they come and stay on our smallholding to repair their lives until its time for them to move on, after reading about the truth that went on at the BBC whilst saville and others were there i just could not morally fund them anymore, but also all the other corruption that goes on at the BBC is just endless, a very nasty organisation, i dont have anything to do with the BBC, i don't listen to any of their broadcasts past or present. done and dusted with them, ha ha and it feels good ! thanks Matt have a good evening.

I agree but sometimes it's fun to toy with them..havr them wait around, tell them you have a guard dog that needs putting in the back, let them start thinking of their commission and then just don't go back to the door, They will be stood around for a while earning feck all and the more time you keep them hanging on the less time they have to try and rip some other poor soul off.

Seven years ago I got the first letter from TV licencing, threatening me with a fine. I found it quite intimidating that they were threatening me with court action before establishing any facts. Since then I have had a letter every two weeks with various threats of bailiffs, forced entry, court action, enforcement etc with thugs turning up when I'm not at home. The problem is, there is no address or telephone number on any of their letters and the letters are rubber stamped with a signature of someone I am unable to talk to because there is no telephone number. The pile of letters is now over a foot high and if I had a return address, I would post them back without a stamp. If they want to see me they have to come at the weekend but that is apparently not convenient for them but I see no reason to inconvenience myself by arranging to speak to them during my working day. The fact that ALL the letters are addressed to Thelega loccupier, some one who does not live at this address, makes me wonder how on earth they can create a court summons for a mythical person.

Hello Craig, there is a subject and channel for everyone on KZread which is what i like, ive also noticed that many TV presenters have now chose KZread as well. The Most haunted team also has a channel on here and have changed things to the way they want to broadcast not the way the UK broadcast licence rules dictates. We completely and utterly support you for not paying the TV license. In times gone by there was justification for it as companies like ITV and channel 4 used the Beeb network equipment to broadcast on. However, we now live in an age of satellite TV, cable TV and internet streamed broadcasting. The license fee needs to be scrapped, there can be no justification for it anymore at all. At the time of posting this comment 7 people have given the thumbs down. Why? Gary and co have every right to peaceful protest.

My car insurance premium drops when I add Business Insurance. Capita advises their staff and checks their staff has Business Insurance, MOT if needed because they know folk without a TB License might grass to dibble. An absolutely normal practice that most people follow who use their own motor for work. I don't know why people actually talk to the goons, open the door, they say they're from TV Licensing then just shut the door. No need to engage them in conversation, unless of course they want to make a video to look "hard".

We keep missing our investigating officer. The letters keep coming to say that they are in the final stages, what we will need for court but alas they never come.

Paid a TV licence since leaving home. Cancelled it online as I hadn't watched any TV channels for over ten years. They are all crap and news coverage is a joke. It was easy enough and I explained I would be moving the following month. Now I'm just waiting to see if some goon comes around to see why I don't have a TV licence. The BBC breaks every original condition for originally justifying the license barr conventional ads during programs, besides, I have no intention of subsidising a politically manipulated and corporate peadophile ring..

Its cool that you don't watch tv, I don't either. He might deserve it if indeed he did tresspass on your property. However you don't have to be a total prick to the guy. He is not the one who created the act or has anything to do with it other than having a job to feed his family. He is also used to the modern world where the corporations and government feel they own everybody and everything so you should really cut the guy some slack. Its cool to be offgrid and you should be commended for it, but to take out your entirety of frustrations and rightfully sick up to here with the governments bullshit onto some poor lackey who probbly does not know any better does not bring people onto the side of nature and to help these people see the ill of their ways. On the contrary it makes anyone attempting to be offgrid into and instand stand offish, cult leading, crazy person that gives the government a case to call you wacko, a tv program to show all people who choose an altenate lifestile as being quirky, scary, and aggressive. We all have frustrations with the system but to unleash all those frustrations on a simple employee who had nothing to do with creating the system is just childish.

thanks for your valid comment, yes i could have been a bit more sympathetic to him, i think what really rattled my cage is that we look after children who have been abused in life, they come here so we can try and make them overcome there ordeal and help them, looking after over 160 children in the past and seeing the real impact, i have come to hate the BBC because in the past their executives and producers turned a blind eye to child abusers who worked for them, they let it happen for over a decade !, yes it was a long time ago. but i struggle to forget. A disgusting organisation in my view and i cant understand why people would collect revenue to fund them, personally i would rather clean shitty toilets in MacDonald than help them. there are many other jobs about, but perhaps the tvl man prefers money to moral standards, or he does not even know about the BBCs seedy past and should educate himself, but putting that all aside i have better viewing out of my window than the rubbish they broadcast. in the past when i had live TV many a time i had to switch off children's BBC as it was very inappropriate for them. once for talking about abortions and rape ( the dumping ground) and another time for saying Cheryl Cole looks good after her cosmetic surgery to increase her beauty !!! all on daytime childrens TV !!! my moral compass is set too high, thanks for watching and leaving your comment, take care

I wonder why we never have someone knocking to see the other licenses like a marriage license, driving license, fishing license or even a gun license? People have said 'he is only doing his job', but he chose to work for a gang of paedophiles in the first place....what did he expect? The bbc couldn't detect a number of paedophiles abusing children in their own buildings, but try to detect someone watching the box whilst not paying a fee... You were far to polite in my view....A private company knocking because they simply assume you need a license, how ridiculous. Who would choose to do that for a job? The bbc is a joke, so no doubt the goons will soon be a thing of the past, they have been talking about scrapping the fee for years, and it is only an act, nothing to be bothered about...good job, and LOTS of views ha ha.....be well

But can you really tar everyone who works for one of these large companies with the same brush? There's tons of shady business practises in the huge structure that is KZread > Google > Alphabet regarding blatant disregard for privacy settings. Does this mean we all have to boycott KZread as a result? I'm not necessarily saying there's the equivalent to the abuse scandal within the BBC, but I believe it is possible for someone to abhor certain aspects of the BBC's history, but still work in some small way for that company. It might even be subcontracted out to an agency, I don't know.

No, you can't tar them all with the same brush. But if you were offered a job as a goon, knowing the bbc covered up the saville/Harris/King scandals a number of times since the late 70's, would you take the job? Would you pay the fee to support these people?....

..and these people saying Gary was abusive, he explained the reasons why and his understanding of the communications act, said 'Thankyou', said' Take care' and said 'Bye bye'....hardly the words of someone being abusive!!! But the conditioned amongst us will hear what they want to hear, I suppose?

I had this problem, I didn't even own a TV for about 4 years in the 90s the online streaming etc didn't exist. I let the inspector in told them my name, all good they left. A few months later warning letters started turning up and I had previously told them my name. I wrote to them, invited them to come and look but they never came. Just continued to send threatening letters. DO NOT tell them your name! Once you have you're screwed till you move house. But to be fair to them, there's loads of scammers out there. I don't necessarily agree with the TV license but that's what we've got, so you have to give them a bit of a break I think as annoying as it is.

The only TV licensing videos worth watching are where the License checkers get all high and mighty and attempt to argue rights and powers they don't have. One's like this are pointless, the guy was polite and left when asked to with no harassment or threat. He's a human doing a job well actually for a chitty piece of legislation.

Hello, i must admit he was no problem, i was very wound up by a visit as i have told them i don't require a licence, but still they knock, they have now started to harass me once again as they no longer believe im sticking to the rules ! another visit is scheduled. The whole reason for my lifestyle (running a smallholding being self sufficient) is i do not rely on others for handouts or sponge of others including services that should be paid for if being used. You need to learn to speak to people with a little bit of respect, we know you don't watch television, and therefore don't need a licence, all you needed to say to the man is we don't have a television and don't need a licence, the guy wasn't being disrespectful to you or your wife, he was just doing the job he gets paid for, your wife asking him if he wants the Arial when it quite clearly is your property, how childish, you don't like TV, that's your choice and you don't have to let anybody into your house to prove otherwise, learn some respect, the fellas just doing his job, if you don't like the idea of paying for a licence lobby your MP

I just fill in the form stating I don't watch/have a TV; no one's ever been 'round. There is no justification for the BBC licence fee in this age of hundreds of channels. It should be subscription payable by those who are obsessed by soap operas and worn out political guff on a pointless 24 hour news programme. Doubt if many will willingly cough up £145 a year for it though.....

Wandering the streets and harassing people to see if they have a TV. This has to be the shittiest job I can think of.

Are people aware that the TV licence is not just for the BBC but for all channels ? Be aware of this in case you think you will be okay if you simply avoid the BBC. Why this is the case is a mystery to me as other channels are ad supported and not licence supported.

Hello, its lovely to hear from you Trev, hope all is well. TV licence have now left me completely alone, I'm still sticking to the rules so they have nothing on me. I'm a true believer of paying for services you use that are provided by others/ companies , but then again that's what smallholding and self reliance is all about, not using others ! thanks Trev, keep safe and well. PS Im hoping 15 min cities/ neighbourhoods are not coming ! its going to restrict our freedom to travel . it will affect the motorhome business very badly ! but the local councils keep pushing for it in some areas ! when you think about it you emit less carbon/pollution living in a motor home than a huge house ! so much less waste, energy and precious resources are used ! especially when parked up at staying in one place for a while. Its getting crazy out there, they are not looking at the full picture with these decisions !

I don`t get the Civil Aviation Authority knocking on my door wondering why I`m not in possession of a Pilot`s License since I don`t pilot aircraft. Why should I have TV Licensing Personnel knocking at my door demanding to know why I don`t have a TV License ? The police don`t come knocking at my door every couple of years to confirm that I`m not committing Crimes..... And when day comes a TV Licensing "Enforcement Officer" knocks at my door, he`s going to earn his money that day. Yes sir-ee, its going to be a hard day for him.

thanks very much, there is a lovely community on you tube, some real good viewing all for free, people working together to entertain each other which is very nice, 90% of my TV entertainment is on here the other 10 is on netflicks. My children also watch many different youtube channels suitable for there age, also its easy for me to monitor what they are watching, years ago on children's BBC i had to turn off a program ( dumping ground i think) they was talking about a child being raped !!!!! , not a topic for young children, that was the tipping point for us so live TV had to go. totally unsuitable for children's daytime viewing, thanks very much, have a great weekend and take care

I chucked the TV out eight years ago! best thing I ever did, Your children are a credit to you, well done you for giving them a childhood and showing them an an alternative to the rat race. You should have asked crapita man to leave some of the famous bbc bull droppings, the marrows would love it :-)

Hard to believe you folks still have to deal with this across the pond. At least here in US, we don't have to take cable or DBS if we're not interested. Even on premium networks, there's so little worth watching.

I recently bought the full series of Great Railway Journey,s on dvd, I don't watch broadcast TV, so it,s you tube or dvd, been the same for year's, no desire to watch random TV anymore, I choose what I want and when, dvd or you tube, things have changed since 1969, when the moon landing was live, as a 3 year old I did see it live, the BBC has a great history but maybe it is history or I'm wrong.

Hello Rob, totally agree, The BBC is now out dated and was good in the past. We are also the same here and only watch KZread and the odd on demand service, sadly my DVD player packed up so need to get another one in the future, thanks for popping by with a great comment. keep safe and well, sorry for a late reply, we have been very busy storing food for the winter months on our smallholding.

They should be forced to change the name to, "the BBC subscription fee". It isn't a license, it's a subscription like Netflix or Amazon

yep that not nice off them to charge, very morally wrong, but the BBC has very low morals, look what they done to sir Cliff Richard not long ago and now the licence fee has helped pay their £800,000 odd compensation and court costs for harassing him. i would like to see them gone. year after year they do something terrible but still people pay them !! thanks for the comment to highlight this valid point, take care and have a good weekend

I argued with someone years ago who said everyone should pay a tv licence because it supports the free right of unbiased media. I told them I don’t need a tv licence for that, I have The internet which is an uncontrolled news source. Next election the politicians are going to say they will abolish the tv licence. But what they won’t tell you is they will slide it in with other taxes so we are all paying.

Dial 999 and ask for the police and tell them you have a Peeping Tom looking through your windows. This is an absolute offence under the Sexual Offences Act (2003), to which there is no defence!

its all about constantly milking your tits dry, then you have to constantly work every hour that god sends to pay for things, not here though we dont play the game the way the systems wants us to. we are about 60% self sufficient and have little to do with the big corporation. im hoping im their worst nightmare, also they have no hold or control over me, ha ha it makes me feel so free and happy ! cheers have a great weekend take care

paulkazjack ----i dont mind paying for services that we used through the council tax, bin collection, fire service (just in case house burns down) libraries, street care for other streets i might use, but our road is not owned by the council and has no street lights, schools (i dont know if that comes from council tax) and police when they do their job correctly, but some of the money we give them they waste, i just pay it and try not to grumble, but im not a free loader at all and feel if we use it pay for it. its mainly the corruption of the council, big corporations and companies that grab my shit. but yes the government does tend to make people struggle in life with high taxes. we must remember we give them the money to serve us so they must use it for that reason. one last thing i roughly worked out how much tax i payed before i left the rat race about half a million !!. cheers good question have a good weekend

Hello Gator, yes its crazy here in the UK. we have to pay the BBC (TV company) £155 to watch any live TV channel even if the signal comes from another country via satellite. I dont watch live TV so the BBC sends people to hnock on your door to check up !!! crazy !! thanks for popping by, keep safe and well

Be aware that utility meter readers are listening and looking for TV usage. Smart meters will also transmit usage in near future. Love the bay shitty roll ups song.

thanks Frank, yes i did here of this, we used a very small electric company called green star, they seem to be okay, but our meter is outside, our TV is just connected to youtube and netflicks, my children mainly watch youtube on it the same as me and as for them smart meters i bloody hate them. they can save data about what time you get up and go to bed by electric usage and also they can see when the house is empty by no electric being used, all it needs is this info getting into the wrong hands. thanks Frank, have a good weekend.

Explain to me how exactly does a smart meter detect that you are receiving a live broadcast? Okay sure someone might be able to guess from a usage pattern that you've put your telly on if they know what model you have, but perhaps you're just watching a dvd or playing the x-box... Sounds like an old wives tale.

I must get a letter every other month informing me that I'm going to get a visit on a computer generated date. Never had anyone knock on my door, ever! I'm really disappointed about that, I'm iching for someone to visit so I can tell them to "Sod Off!"

I will second that.

When i first moved into my first home i did have a tv license but soon realised what the corporation was like and soon cancelled it, Since moved and still dont have one and im never going to have one and help fund there peado ring.. Get the odd letter but noone as visited as yet.. Then again my door bell will show-tell me whos at the door so it wont be answered either way. 😄👍🏻 Good vid buddy

Nice one, I remember when they called on me and lied many years ago think it was around 2006 they said I admitted to having a TV when I said no such thing had to go to court, had witnesses with me who testified I did not have or watch TV I won.

It's desperately sad that there are sheep like people who do this as a part time job, without thinking of the consequences or if they are doing something deeply immoral.

I don't watch much telly but listen to BBC radio a lot. Can't stand radio with advertising so happy to buy a licence

Taking down the satellites what a courageous idea as long as you are owner of that property if you are renting it out through a private property or through a landlord which is based on from the council you're not allowed to take this property down as it's a part of the attachment If you'd only do not want want to watch TV it is tidy up due to mess around with the interruption which is inside the property by slipping the cable or take dismantling the aerial which is from the inside and removing the cable from your property As there is no laws about this you are allowed to obliged to do this avoiding every TV licence policy policy but the TV licence may have a pregnant going against the valuable of the people who are renting out a property they made charge them for the inconvenience so be aware of what you are doing

agree to your stance but the guy was polite to you in no way tried to force entry handing him property thats not his was near his car good job did not slip and cause criminal damage stand your ground lawfully by all means but no need to taunt people

I wonder if he had business insurance for his car? He would have to, but most don't...if you watch many of the other goon videos on here....so he was breaking the law himself, if he didn't have business insurance!

Get these people's vehicle registration report them to the insurance fraud because they are almost certainly using it without insurance if so it will affect their insurance for many years

Hello John, Good for you to cancel. They assume everyone is lying , they are a crafty bunch of people, but if you stick to the guidelines like i do there is nothing to worry about. Any way we live in such a beautiful area surrounded by nature that looking out of the window is better viewing than the BBC. Even though i have told them i dont need a licence they are still sending threat letters saying they are going to visit again. this time im just going to offer them a big hug ! thanks John for popping by, we may bump into each other one day, keep safe and well, take care

Nice one hope you celebrated putting that twenty quid towards a takeaway that evening and as for offering him to take the aerial away has to be a classic first well worth tv resistance promoting your vid. Hows the good life going your garden looks so well established with the past dry weather.

Thanks for your positive comments the only brainwashed people are those that are still paying TVL !!! you and your family are good people and have my 100% support on what you believe and do. in a polite way stick the goons antenna up his backside where he has a metallic taste no twenty quid here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
