I think if Jews had the choice of "have someone come to your door and ask whether you're avoiding paying for something" and the gas chambers, they'd probably choose the TV license... The TV license is flawed, simply because its overall a bit ridiculous. But should probably keep a little perspective, especially for when someone does the job respectfully.

If they are so bothered about people "stealing" their signal encrypt it like every other paid service. The only reason they won't do that is because the current system everyone is signed up by default and there's no opt out.

Yup, I cancelled my nannas tv license for her and showed her you don’t have to pay it, I called them and told them she had removed all implied rights of access and should anymore threatening letters be received or an agent visit the property they will be liable for a £10k appointment fee or liable for damages for harassment, the guy said sorry and assured me there would be no more letters, that was 3 years ago and she ain’t heard off them since

@@lordchewwy I'm 100% Truthful...My cell mates Name was Edna Blacky...She showed me how to divide matches into 4...It was in Leeds womens prison..I'm 64 now I was 19max then...So 45yrs ago I'm 90% sure she was 76 yrs old...I threw in the or 67 because It's still unfathomable to me that They Lock up pensioners (More than 100%+ sure ,She was a pensioner) Her crime, she owed £1000 in unpaid TV. License fines...I spent Two weeks in her company...Long egnough for any skeletons to come out... You're probs not replying to me anyway but I thought I'd include some facts .

You can choose. Just don’t want any live tv or anything from the BBC and you can confirm you’re exempt. I haven’t had one in over 20 years. Never missed it. Glad recently not to have the propaganda at all. Saved me wasting a year of my life.

@@jojonesjojo8919 It’s a long story,basically I was communally living nr.Hebden bridge.There was a police raid,but nothing illegal was discovered...Which meant the police felt the need to deploy some underhand tactics,unbeknown to us ‘free spirits’...A police Lady confided in us that she was sick of being a police Lady,She said she’d met some really nice people in her job,and wanted to write a book of her memoirs...OK .There were four of us women,and one by one she interviewed us 4 ‘her book ‘.She asked me “Have you ever smoked pot “? Well yes I replied, “What did you do with the joint ?” She asked “I took a few puffs and passed it on “I replied..That was It ! I was now charged with supplying illegal substances...This policewoman managed to charge all four of us . Then she handcuffed us and took us away to be remanded in Leeds Women’s prison.Where we spent two weeks..Myself with Edna Blacky...My friend Crystal was hurled off into solitary confinement for her fortnight..for swapping a slice of Beetroot for a slice of Tomato ,off my dinner plate,!I said she could but they hurled her away to Solitary...Of course we wrote to people to help us..but when we were released , No- one had received any letters from us...All were confistgated. Xx

The only time I answer the door if it's somebody I don't know ( having checked first through the door viewer ) is if it's a couple of cute looking young ladies. We have a number of ( ahem ) 'Churches' near me...so during the summer months they often go around the area canvassing for more members. That's led to a number of funny thing's happening :-)

I live in America and I assume that in England to watch tv you need some sort of an access fee......in America regular tv Chanel are free with an antenna but most homes have a cable service box with is not free to have more channels 🤷🏻‍♀️

All live broadcasting in the UK (which is a combination of self-funded channels and the one public funded channel being the BBC) requires you to have a £152 annual licence which, effectively, funds the programming on the public BBC channels so that it does not have to show advertising to finance it and importantly, could remain unbiased in its output. This used to be all fine and dandy until the BBC allowed itself to be run by Liberal/Left management which means now we have a woke/BLM/virtue signalling/anti-brexit bias in its output. What is now happening is that the licence payers are leaving in ever greater numbers disgusted by this bias in order to defund the BBC....hence the TV licensing goon knocking on the door trying to make people feel obliged to finance their bile.

Don’t even tell them that. Just ask who they are then when they tell you just say no thanks and close the door. If you tell them you don’t need a licence they may ask you why and you could end up saying why. Keep any engagement with them to the minimum

Follow him to his car(which by the looks of things wont be too far )and ask him if he has business insurance to drive the car.

Never take away there right of access it gives them something to say to the court and order will be put against you.. just don’t say anything

I always imagined that a TV license guy might be dressed a tad smarter than this. Maybe a shirt that is tucked in for example, tie, or maybe a smart jacket. This guy looks like he’s popped out for a loaf and newspaper.
