Footage reportedly out of Afghanistan's Kunar province shows a 101st Airborne MRAP turret gunner survive an enemy rifle round to the helmet.
Upon being hit, the gunner retreats into the cover of the vehicle and his buddy assesses his injury. For a brief period we are able to see the inside of the helmet which shows that the round penetrated the kevlar.
A replacement gunner grabs ahold of the machine-gun and gives off burst of suppressing fire. Smartly, he operates the weapon system from with within the armored vehicle.
