Turning Junk Into An Electric Aluminum Can Crusher!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I have sooo many aluminium / aluminum cans that I need to either recycle for profit or crush to use in future projects! And since I'm a sucker for new projects, this was an easy choice!
Follow along as I turn a bunch of junk into an electric can crusher, fully motorized to make the crushing easier. At least that was the plan. And for the record, I'm a big fan of recycling, but if I can melt and cast some aluminum, I'm going to! So check out this build, and just a small heads up - it's not like any of the other crushers you can find on youtube!

Entertaining, but I always flinch when I see you spinning that circular saw blade without a safety guard. Take care, man! We like you with all your fingers :)

Thanks man, appreciate the concern! It wasn't spinning at full speed and it was spinning backwards, could've probably removed a finger either way though. I'll try to be a bit more careful going forward :)

Think like this man, an explosion moves a piston that crushes your magazine-fed cans, the movement then cycles a slot that ejects and punts away the crushed goods into a waiting plastic sack, that same movement cycles a slot to feed a new can from the magazine.

Add a flywheel and don’t start with the can in position as the motor doesn’t have enough torque to crush it on its own. Use weight and momentum 👌
