Turning Junk Into An Electric Aluminum Can Crusher!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
I have sooo many aluminium / aluminum cans that I need to either recycle for profit or crush to use in future projects! And since I'm a sucker for new projects, this was an easy choice!
Follow along as I turn a bunch of junk into an electric can crusher, fully motorized to make the crushing easier. At least that was the plan. And for the record, I'm a big fan of recycling, but if I can melt and cast some aluminum, I'm going to! So check out this build, and just a small heads up - it's not like any of the other crushers you can find on youtube!

Entertaining, but I always flinch when I see you spinning that circular saw blade without a safety guard. Take care, man! We like you with all your fingers :)

Thanks man, appreciate the concern! It wasn't spinning at full speed and it was spinning backwards, could've probably removed a finger either way though. I'll try to be a bit more careful going forward :)

Thanks! I'm a sucker for 80s related stuff, so that warms my heart! Might also explain why most of my builds are MacGyver grade engineering 😂

Im here to make one. but I think it needs to be a little different lol. Thanks for the entertainment. 👍🏽☠️☠️
this is genius. best can crusher i've ever seen. speed and efficien... well speed anyway.
Well that was terrifying and I love it
I love the face right in the danger zone without safety glasses. It took me a long time and many facial injuries before I learned to keep my face away from the action. I guess if something happened, you’d get viral status 🤘
I’ve been doing the whole returnables thing fir a few months and make good money on it! However i do get some cans that are too tacoed to return.
Bro you created a monster not a can crusher. Other wise great job 👏

If this machine could talk: “ME SMASH CAN! ME SMASH EVERYTHING- SMASH SMASH SMAAAASH!!!!!”
Maybe more of a vertical impact hammer design wud work better

Safety first! :D
Soda and beer cans are easy to crush. How would this work on cans that fruits and vegetables come in?
1m29s into the vid and you got me already. ! more sub
Dangerous, wasteful and ineffective. What more could you want?
I honestly cannot believe your mind didn't immediately go "explosion.. That's the answer"
@Amishhellcat
Жыл бұрын
Think like this man, an explosion moves a piston that crushes your magazine-fed cans, the movement then cycles a slot that ejects and punts away the crushed goods into a waiting plastic sack, that same movement cycles a slot to feed a new can from the magazine.

@@Amishhellcat Haha, I love the fact that I first get a nice comment from Razvan saying I should be careful to not hurt myself. And now a suggestion describing pretty much the inner workings of an automatic rifle 😂I am a fan of explosions though!

Jw what if you use a conveyers belt and a push pin, maybe a grab hook with a pry away plate?
😂 Well, everyone somehow starts! But, don't be discouraged, the next time it will certainly succeed.

😂 I hope so!
Well that's 5 minutes I will never get back.
I want a self-reloading design that doesn't require electrical power but a simple mechanical action.
Add a flywheel and don’t start with the can in position as the motor doesn’t have enough torque to crush it on its own. Use weight and momentum 👌
😂 RESPECT! 👊

Every great idea starts with a horrible plan to build on. You've got to test the waters, & being that you posted it you helped us skip the worst parts!
Hey do you know if there is a way to build a can crusher inside a recycling bin in a way that it would be quite light but still poweful

@@TryingToBuildStuff Thanks if you figure out how to make one please do a video of how to make it as I run a charity where I collect cans crush them then sell them and give the money to charity. It takes me flipping ages to crush every can one by one so it would really speed up the process.

Why do people from Norway go to Sweden to buy food?
@TryingToBuildStuff
Жыл бұрын
Great question! Mostly because the food is cheaper in Sweden than in Norway, the same goes for alcohol and tobacco. Sweden also has a wider variety of products in the grocery stores, making it a bit more fun to go shopping for food ;)
