What kind of rice should I use short grain rice, basmati?

We use short grain like Arborio rice, but long-grain rice works well too.

What kind of rice is used ?

All Turkish dolmas are made with baldo rice, but I doubt you can find it. You can use arborio instead, just soak it in water for half an hour.

am I right, the rice used was uncooked? or was it parboiled first?
