This weeks turkey calling tip is calling to hung up gobblers. We love it when a turkey comes running into an aggressive yelp, gobbling, spitting and drumming. But, that is not always how it works. Turkeys that have been hunted for a few springs and called to a lot throughout a season tend to be a little weary of calling. Knowing what to do when a turkey is hung up can help you beat a stubborn turkey at his own game this spring!

Best advice is to stop calling. I started that like 2 years ago. Pulls them in everytime

Wish I would have known this yesterday :( a gobbler hit the edge of the field right off roost gobbling strutting snd he just sat there for 30 minutes snd didn’t come
Click and purr together is a warning sign
What should I do if he is following two hens because I still wanna mall him in

You can try and get the hens excited and draw the hens to you and the gobbler will follow.

I'm definitely not a turkey expert, but some of the people I know who are successful say mimic the hen. They hate that

I had one hooked to a hen 2 years ago and the hen was pretty vocal. I started cutting her off every time she started to make a noise. It was like she got aggravated at me for interrupting her conversation and she came in fast, he followed and I got the shot.
