Turkey Calling Tips, Lesson 1: How to Call Henned-Up Toms
Ойын-сауық
Calling to toms that have a flock of hens can be frustrating. They'll gobble back to your calls, but most of the time, they won't come any closer. The key is to call to the hens-and to have plenty of patience. Here's Aaron Warbritton from The Hunting Public sharing his tips on hunting henned-up toms.

Great video! Alot of much needed information. Theres to many hens in my area and i deal with this every year
Great video!
I called a couple of hens and the tom was right behind them. I dont have the best luck all the time. Usually a dominate hen will come straight in and if your lucky the tom will follow along.
Aaron, Had this exact situation happen yesterday on opening day Colorado. Couldn’t draw the Tom away from his hens and off of the private over to public. They would gobble, but wouldn’t come into our decoys or calls. We were about 170 yards away. How loud should your calls be to get this videos tactics to work?

Long time ago you asked this….Call loud. When I switched it up and started putting more behind my mouth call birds started breaking off.

@@philiron7461 Thank you sir. I will definitely try that approach when faced with a similar situation again.
When I match the other hens they shut up. Am I mimicking them too aggressively?
I will cut really hard, and alot of times that brings in the hens. Fighting purrs too when nothing else works, as he said.
