Congratulations on the well deserved follower milestone. This is another really nicely made video. Great photos too. As your mate says, it’s a tight squeeze but the Eurostar provides a fabulous view.

That was a great landing in challenging conditions 👍

I would like to see... Kemble Flying Club continue in business after the crazy times so I can realise my dream of an NPPL. Good luck David Young!!! See you on the other side!
Flying above light cloud is surely one of the biggest joys of being a pilot! Love it ;-) congrats on the 1k subscribers!

i enjoyed this vid .. Kemble a lovely place
that was special. great stuff.
I really enjoyed seeing the White Horses again. Reminded me of my flight training in the area. Top tip if you’re doing your first solo cross country flight in the area: Don’t assume the white horse you are looking at is the same as on the map!! Fortunately I picked up my error when I saw the railway line north of the Danger Zone. Fun flight 🙄

Another great video Ben. So much fun to be up and flying around the clouds like that. My flying is curtailed for the moment as Compton Abbas has closed for the duration. They stopped training flights because of the one to one close contact but yesterday they made the decision to shut down completely. Oh well, back to the simulator 😁 Take care. Conrad

Brilliant! Reminds me of my flight in Foxtrot Zulu last August. As has been said, flying above broken cloud over such interesting terrain is the best! Congrats on the landing.

Well done, the landing was smooth for the conditions. I have yet to look at my flight from yesterday but I had a bit of fright so if it all came out well on the video should be a good one to up load to you tube. Not looking good to get over to you for a bit but we can hope that before the good weather comes and goes, I can make it over.
Fantastic pictures and certainly seemed a bit choppy up there. Congratulations on achieving over 1K subscribers - these are numbers that some of us can only dream of...but a lot of hard work goes in to making the videos so well deserved.

Awesome video!! I have been following along with your journey from the beginning and not only has your flying skills improved immensely but also your videos!! Keep up the great work!! I love the scenery but I would also like to see more technical videos from the pre flight planning you do, checking weather, walk around of aircraft, checklists and all that good stuff the EV97. Also the software you are using.

Ben Atkinson any software or devices you use during your flights and for planning your flights. If traffic levels keep dropping due to COVID-19 you could probably fly into an International Airport . Take care during outbreak.
Congrats Ben, you've put a lot of work into make your channel a success. When I heard Rainbow One I imagined George, Zippy, Bungal or Geoffrey coming on the RT lmao! "ooohh, Zippy!".

Nice one Ben, Stunning video shots as always, looks good on my 4k 55inch tele :-) Good attempt at a TopGun song :-) That EV97 looks a bit over cosy with two on board. Know doubt its a great plane for solo flying. How about more vids in the C42, think you only did a couple of training flights in that and then moved on to the EV97. How about a long flight to Blackpool and back, maybe in the summer (plane old ben) style :-) Hey the weather is looking better, may get my first flight in next week, fingers crossed. Happy flying.

Ben Atkinson I didn’t realise there were so many. The C42 I fly, when I fly, at Blackbushe is one of the White Horse Aviation fleet, so I assumed there was just the one. Thanks.
Hey Ben, really enjoying the channel. My SEP PPL has lapsed and was thinking of renewing it, I was wondering will you be flying a Cessna or Piper anytime? And if you were to buy one of the aircraft you’ve been flying, which one would it be?

Hey kevin - thanks for the comment mate - I did have my very first lesson in a cessna 172 but I will get another lesson for the channel ....but probably won't pursue it though! I will hopefully be a microlight owner one day! Thanks for watching !!
Great video again Ben and nice landing! How do you prepare when flying to airports/landing strips you haven't been to before? Also, what is the story behind the white horses??
@BenAtkinsonVideos
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I could cover this in a video sometimes. As for the white horses ....Of the thirteen white horses known to have existed in Wiltshire, eight are still visible, and the others have either been lost completely, or are in a sense still there, under the turf, but have long since become grown over and are no longer visible. Contrary to popular belief, most white horses are not of great antiquity. Only the Uffington white horse is of certain prehistoric origin, being some three thousand years old. Most of the others date from the last three hundred years or so, though the hillside white horse can be a slippery creature, and the origins of some are impossible to establish with any certainty.

Hey Deon, well it varies hugely on where you learn and what aircraft and of course how quickly and consistently you’re able to fly and train and apply yourself. Wishing 18 months of you fly every other week is doable. And expect to pay *roughly* £4000.
