Yes..just like ECU remappings, there are also tuning/ remappings for the DSG/DCT control units too. They usually come at the cost of increased wear of the clutch/ reliability of the system. But still, it's possible.

Yeah. As far as i know, most of these "teams" are flashing a software provided by some other company in another country. So they are not really creating these remaps, instead they are just using the changed softwares (nothing wrong in doing so). . Kurachukoodi detailed akamayirunnu.
