@Tutelage810 Bro i said honda 1.5 dtec can't beat a bigger turbo diesel like 2.0,2.5 tdi 🤣 Anyways coming to 4 cylinder performance engines Honda k20,k24 are far ahead than vw 4 cylinder engines Civic type r is a better track car than any same segment vw and Skoda Also honda have their own supercar nsx unlike vw with subsidiaries sportscar,supercars, and hypercars 👍

Since i own jetta things you guys mentioned were spot on,the upgradation difficulty like u said there is no perfect match (other than Beemer,Merc,etc) you guys are insane

As a car enthusiasts I always prefer a fairly good diesel automatic sedan with minimal electronic trickery that the car would last fairly decently and will offer decent tuning potential. it is very sad that people run behind lot of gimmicks in the car such as panoramic sunroof and stuff like that which doesn’t add to the driving fun. Nowadays cars are becoming more of a tech showroom than a proper drive machines that is killing its primary purpose and also reliability 😒😒

Just for reference: The DSG fluid + filter replacement for DQ250 is 4yr/60k KM. When you find a low mileage example do consider the 4yr interval also for the DSG fluid. Similar to engine oil, there is degradation of DSG oil from age also (the clutch pack wears a bit in normal operation and this is in the DSG oil).

MK6 is my favorite ride. Almost bought an MK5, and dropped it after pinging JD. Couldn't get a neat MK6. This is one of most thoughtfull videos you ever had. The best one in the used market with literally no replacement.

I used to notice a VW Jetta mk5 near my home during my childhood, almost 12 years ago, white colour with a fancy registration number probably a diesel engine (which I don't exactly remember since I was too young to know such things). I have always admired it's stance everytime I watched it being parked in that porch. Since then I really liked Jetta particularly. I would go with JayD's opinion, to have a facelifted model since it would be newer, be it a little more expensive than pre-FL ones... Thanks for the review bros 😊👍🏻

Spot on about the abs sensors and the headliner. I just replaced 3 sensors last month and the headliner, last week on my 2014 Octavia. I was getting the seven year itch but decided to hold on to the 1 lakh run car for a couple of years more.

If VW corrects there ABS sensor, there sales will be No 3or 4 in India. Unfortunately they dont care about that was major let down.

Spot on observations about the interior trim quality differences between Mk5 Jetta, Laura pre-FL & FL vs the Mk6 Jetta. Back in mid 2011 we had taken test drives between Laura FL Elegance DSG and then new Jetta DSG. Clearly the Skoda had more premium feeling touch points, not to mention the additional equipment also. The ride in the Jetta (the longer wheelbase and different suspension tuning) was also more mature than the Laura and rear legroom/seat comfort was also clearly superior. We eventually went for the Laura vRS though since it was a petrol we were after. Excellent review as always guys and very happy to see you focus on the minor differences. I have explained this diff to people before but most fail to acknowledge 🙂

Missing vw TDi engines so badly nowadays 😢.. And very hard to digest they r gone forever 😔 A VW Diesel SEDAN💔

I drive a 2011 1.4 Tsi jetta in Australia which is a Turbo supercharged, This car drives like a dream.

I've got a 1.9 Laura and my girlfriend has mk5 Jetta. Mine has run around 2.2 lakh kms. Did a Petes remap at around 1 lakh kms with a flywheel replacement. It's got Tarox brake pads and Bilstein B4's. Still running pretty strong. The DSG is a bliss to drive. I still can't think of a worthy replacement. These cars don't retain any value when you're planning to sell it. I think it's better to just maintain it on time. Still cheaper than a brand new car. Hoping to convert it to electric when they plan to ban diesel cars!

I am not sure how much can be extracted with a remap of the NA 3.6FSI engine (only 4x4 Superb in India), but even stock it can really surprise you. We own one in the family :)

As someone who is a fan of VW brand and has driven many VW family brands from Ibiza to Q5, lemme tell you, nothing can beat the drivability and stability of a Passat. It is not a sedan like Camry or Malibu. It’s an emotion. VW brands are for the heart ❤️

Have a 2013 Jetta at home. Been away for past few years so don't know/remember all the issues but the battery was a constant problem and had to replace it quite a few times. Also had to replace the front suspension, think at around 1 lk kms. Other than that love the car. And thanks to the understated design, it has aged well and still doesn't look dated

My favourite sedan till date. Really wanted to own one. It was a proper vw. Vento and polo felt like built for a price. This is like a business class sedan. Still has the charm. Would definitely prefer the pre-facelift one .. like what Da Vinci told "simplicity is the biggest sophistication"... not a big fan of those daytime running leds in the facelift version.. The portfolio that VW had in India before 6-7 years is truly global when compared to the MQBs that we have now with minnow petrol engines ... Such a lovely ride and yet another fantastic clip! Practically, there’s nothing to upgrade from a Jetta unless for a Beemer! On another note, wouldn’t you think over 30mins is a little longer for such clips (of course the content is top notch)? Something within 20min if that can be done could be better I feel.
