Looking at doing VUDU stage 1 on mine so thank you for the video, just seen the sunstrip bit at the start! I always use soapy water so I have more play to position the sunstrip and once it's inplace and all trimmed you can push out the air bubbles with a credit card or what not, then when the soapy water evaporates it sticks to the window 👍 keep up with the content man

was that the pevensey marshes road i saw? if so we need to collab , also its funny people quite often think a 25bhp upgrade isnt much but its also the torque which make its a completely different car

It was pevensey marshes and yeah made a bigger difference than I expected.

Fair play for being brave enough to do the software yourself, not sure I’d have the balls!! Stage 1 on the MK8’s go up 50bhp, can only imagine what that change is like!

Stage 1 on the MK8 is nuts. I would highly recommend it.

did you add on the supporting hardware option I don't know if I need to or not

It's surprising how much of a difference a simple stage one remap can change the feeling and response to a car definitely worth doing by a reputable remapping company

These mk7.5 st run so much better on the 99ron bro. I owned one for 7 years and now have the mk8 st3 and the stage 1 on the mk8 is great too.

No not understeer but a bit more torque steer

When you buy the device will it come with them maps Or will it be buy the device then have to buy additional tuning maps like stage 2 and pops and bangs ?

Induction was like £200 exhaust £600 stage 1 £300 but I’ve had discounts from companies so it was cheaper

bro you should def put the 98 octane tune on it its mad, i also tought it was absolutley dumb but it really isnt

To let you all know that my ST Eco Booster 1.5 3 cylinders had an engine issue seven months after remap (Celtic Tuning in Cornwall), my valve stem had oil leaking in to the combustion chamber and produce blue smoke out of the exhaust at 67,000 miles. It sucks! I loved the big power on small engine, but it doesn't look good. Think of rebuilt and soon be sold. Disappointment.

I think the vudu sticker underneath the st badge would look cool

I wouldn't, looks cheap and tacky. Personally the only one I think looks decent is the Mountune badge.

LSD with weight reduction. Maybe go with smaller diameter rims for more acceleration.

sorry did you just say spending extra money on 99 is wrong ?? man your lost lol. your car would absolutely fall in love with you if you put better fuel in honestly. Shell vpower or momentum is best

Completely agree with this. 99 Ron fuel is better in every aspect especially long term, especially if it’s tuned. For a few extra pennies a litre I think it’s a no brainer for a tuned car

Dont make the mistake of chasing power as many people do as in the end u will regret it stg 1 shoild be ok and shuldnt effect engine reliability

@@JoshBatesYT I had a 2017 plate focus st-2 with 247BHP. I got it when it was 15 months old with 5,000 miles on it. In 2019 I proceeded to remap it to Stage 1, which took it to around 270 Bhp. In early 2022 the engine went "bang"...... dead as a dodo with a big hole in the top of the engine block and most of the parts missing. Replacement (Used) engine was around £3,500, plus labour of around £1,500-£1,800 looking at £5k for a used engine. A new engine was £5k+ plus labour so would have been around £6,500. The car was worth between £10k - £11k, so didn't bother. Sold the car to copart for £4,000 and used a stop gap 2004 Nissan X trail for about 10 months til I got my BMW. Personally I wouldn't remap a car again. I have a BMW now which gives more remap headway (BMW engines remap with more potential than Ford engines for instance) but I still won't be remapping it. I could get my car to near enough akin to a BMW M3/M4 with a remap but won't be doing it after last time.
